The pain seems to be in the centre of his stomach. The pain and nausea is not constant and comes and goes. He has twice been sent home from school because he has vomited. He says the vomit is clear and fluid like. He has no other symptoms, no temperature, no loss of appetite. We took him to the doctor twice. The first time she said it was most probably a virus. The second time we had him tested for a urine infection as he said he had problems passing urine, this came up clear.
For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.
I have fairly similar symptoms. I also have nausea, dizziness, migraines and stomach pain. My nausea, dizziness and migraines are constant, but the stomach pain is intermittent. I was diagnosed with pots 2 months ago and also take fludrocortisone. I've had the same experience with ineffective nausea mediicne and migraine medicine. Even iv infusions fail to provide me with relief. The only main difference is I had my gall bladder removed in July 08 and remnants and gall stones removed last May.

So how do you tell if nausea is brought on by a stomach bug or if something is wrong? I'm 32 weeks and had severe nausea last night. Which is strange b/c ive only thrown up a couple times in my entire life but I did last night. Even in the first trimester I was nauseated but never threw up. I was up all night with stomach pain and I've had it and generally feeling weak and unwell most of today also.I don't know if I should be concerned or not. I have hardly eaten all day due to it.
It went away until later that day when I ate a hamburger and, as soon as I took the first bite, was overthrown with nausea and pain in my stomach. That was around 3 or so weeks ago and I haven't had the stomach pain until today. Since then, I just get really nauseated after eating certain things -- I burp a lot and acid and food starts to come up (with burping or on their own). But I haven't puked once.

I was told that a gastric emptying test showed that I my stomach was emptying slightly too fast due to the top portion of the stomach not expanding to allow food. I have not been able to get an answer about what is causing this daily nausea when I wake each morning for the last 3 year. The longer block of time I sleep the more severe the nausea. Typically I am up from one to three times every the night, each time I wake with nausea then in the morning it is worst, yet.
This symptom is harder for me to tolerate than pain. Dr. Rosner's office suggested that I ask for Zofran--after a day & 1/2, my pcp finally called it in. I'm wondering what others have tried; it seems rather expensive & didn't work that fast. I'm not vomiting, so I don't need a pill that dissolves in my mouth. I was told that it's the least sedating, but maybe I should be sedated!
Sometimes I get terrible pain in my stomache, I think it is just gas pain and I have to sit for a while. Would I feel nausea from something wrong with my gallbladder? I feel this everyday and the doc put me on prevacid but not working. Thanks! Can't seem to find much info anywhere.
watery diarrhea (at least three bowel movements per day for two or more days) fever loss of appetite nausea abdominal pain/tenderness I did not have pain, loss of appetite, or fever. I did feel slightly nauseated sometimes. I did not have any of the common reasons for which a person might contract this bacteria either: How do people get C. difficile disease?
I'M STILL FEELING NAUSEOUS THOUGH, AND NOW I ALSO HAVE SOME STOMACH DISCOMFORT. NOT A PAIN, JUST DISCOMFORT. I DON'T HAVE ACID REFLUX, BUT I HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAVE BEEN BELCHING A LOT AND AT NIGHT I CAN FEEL SOMETHING BUBBLING IN THE BACK OF MY THROAT, KIND OF LIKE DRINKING A SODA. I HAVE TRIED TAKING PEPCID & MYLANTA, BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO HELP. COULD THE MEDICATION HAVE GIVEN ME AN ULCER OR SOME OTHER TYPE OF STOMACH PROBLEM?
but it's not a feeling that even approaches pain. It's the kind of feeling where I feel as though if I just rub my stomach it'll feel better. I have a gastro appt scheduled in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I feel so miserable. It is hard to function well enough to even accomplish what absolutely has to get done. The only other new thing in my life is that I started treatment with a CPAP machine a few months ago. Any ideas?
My doctor just told me that the test result indicates that I have a motility disorder, in other words, the stomach is not digesting the food at a normal rate. Therefore, it just sits in your stomach for a longer period of time, thus the feeling of nausea, bloating, etc. Very miserable sometimes. Heavy meals, fatty foods, etc, make it worse, as does eating close to bedtime. She prescribed Reglan, which is supposed to stimulate the stomach to digest the food.
---hello edawna and yes i have had nausea too. It should lessen as you adjust. Try cold ginger ale. Take with a soft food like yogurt etc. Do whatever it takes to not increase your dosage! It does work for Pain in my experience----just be very careful. For hunger----just nibble. Ensure--chocolate===works for some.
I was also suffering from extreme bloating and upper left stomach pain. I didn't vomit but a few times but I sure wanted to! I had lots of tests ran then and showed really nothing as definite cause. I was just diagnosed with Hep C on 9/9/11 and after much research I am convinced that was the cause of my problems. Best to you and hope you get your nausea issues resolved!
Ginger is another thing that helps nausea. In health food stores they often sell ginger chews and chewing them can help your stomach. Also ginger drinks. Make sure you avoid caffeine and lots of sugar because those can trigger anxiety. Just know you aren't alone!! I have talked to a lot of people on this site with emetophobia and although it s*cks, you can beat this!
Stomach nausea off and on all day. Has been like this for about two weeks now. Not a precise date but I am starting to track food/pain/naus again now... Felt great since period started a couple months ago... only one bad day - Wednesday on trip in B'ham I woke up in the usual pain but it went away after 5 hours. No pain since then and that was about a month ago. It's really just nausea. This seems to be how it starts... nausea intermittent, then nearly constantly/daily, then pain.
and also i get more saliva in my mouth and a strange taste and my stomach hurts...food smell makes me nouxious especially meat, but others too. My pshycologist said it is from anxiety..but i am not so sure...maybe i have physical..problem Please help... What do you think?
How do you all deal with nausea and trying to prevent it?? Up all night last night throwing up and I'm feeling the same as I try to go to bed now. I don't want to feel the same all night again! I need some sleep :( 18 weeks + 2 days.
i have been having nausea after eating and when i wake up in the morning. I had a blood test and a urine test and got checked by my family doctor and everything seems fine with me physically. Could anxiety cause these symptoms? i have also been losing weight because i dont eat as much. Well im scared to eat because i dont want to feel nausea afterward.
well hello to you too.... LOL I had a tweaking last week and i can tell whats going on. I still have one pretty big side effect from all this crap im still dealing with. Dont worry, i wont bother you with it :) but the nausea keeps coming and going.
I haven't yet found any specific food or drink that causes the nausea to be worse. I have pretty much had to give up coffee because it seems as though it does aggravate it - not cause it, just aggravate it. For me to give up coffee is unbelievable. I have worked three jobs for the last four years and have pretty much lived on coffee. Going cold turkey in the hospital wasn't much fun! Oh well, at least one bad habit bit the dust. I do find that the pain I have is worse after I eat.
I found the best thing for nausea or just general upset stomach is Ginger. I take Ginger caps or eat the dried root covered with suger cane juice. You can find all of the differant types of Ginger in most health food stores, GNC, ect. In many studys they found Ginger worked better then Dramamine for nausea and motion sickness. I have already stocked up for my upcomming TX. <B>Hay Scott hows it going?
