I need help, so I ended up in the ER one day because of abdominal pain, the ER doc said everything looked normal and he thought it was something viral. I found the CT results from that day online. During the day of the CT I took contrast and threw it up so I'm not sure if that's why it was showing partial gastric outlet obstruction, the ER doc marked me for being allergic to the contrast too..
The stomach pain doesn't wake me at night. I only get the pain when I am awake. The pain comes and goes. I will try to cut down on fried food to see if it will stop hurting. It has been hurting for about a week. I am going to take Pepcid for a while to see if it will help.
Thanks, I am aware of the elimination diet and gluten intolerance....I'm a registered dietitian although my speciality is kidney disease not GI or food allergies, but I have a good solid background in all areas. Perhaps I should consult our GI nutritionist. The foods I tend to notice are chocolate and tea, two times I ate tuna fish out. I tend to blame most problems on diet or fix my problems with diet.
I've been having awful stomach pain in my upper right stomach for almost 24 hours now. It hurts to take deep breaths and nothing seems to relieve it.
I initially thought that it was gas pains, but it just isn't going away. I am belching constantly but have no other symptoms..
I'm wondering what this could be, I know that it isn't normal.
The other reason could be due to esophageal reflux (GERD), where the food in your stomach is thrown up into your food pipe or esophagus. This also causes burning sensation or discomfort in the chest area. Another possibility is hiatal hernia, where a portion of stomach herniates into the chest cavity through the diaphragm. Cough or heart problems too cause discomfort in chest area. Another possibility is pancreatitis. Over the counter antacids and omeprazole may give relief.

A complete medical history, clinical examination and work up are important for correct diagnosis and management. The causes related to nausea,diarrhea,abdominal pain are food poisoinng,gastroenteritis,stomach flu, lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome etc.Parasitic infestations like amoebiasis and giardiasis will also cause watery stools, abdominal cramps,nausea,fever etc.She should take a light diet and drink plenty of water. See a Paediatrician.
She also can not have lactaid, or peanut butter, hot dogs, oatmeal, or high fat food. She gets really bad bloatting, horrible diaharea, abdominal pain, and ocasional vomitting from all of these iteams. I have taken her to the doctor over and over again for these conditions they even did a blood test to see if there were allergies present and they came back negative the doctor does not believe she is even lactose intollerant and says to give her milk.

I have a 6 year old daughter who is always complaining about stomach pain, We have just moved to New Zealand and she was very happy and excited about the whole move , she has started a new school and is loving it, I have only recently noticed that she is not eating her lunch or drinking much, only water and eats strange things like pretzels and chips but no sandwitches and when i ask her she keeps telling me that she has terrible stomach pain !
There is a muscle that normally opens to let food into the stomach and closes to keep food and stomach acid in. With GERD, this muscle does not work properly, and causes food and stomach acid to leak back up the esophagus. It could also be Gastroenteritis as Tuck has suggested.
There are also about 2000 other reasons why you are vomiting stomach acid. Please have it checked out. Make that appt. with your Doctor. Better safe than sorry. Please take care and good luck.
hello, im a 22 year old for the past two years i suffer from stomach pain ,gas stomach and frequent diarrhea. i was advised to avoid lactose food ,so i did and the gas felling have diapered but still i have very frequent diarrhea and daily pain with bowel movement. my blood work came back with CRP 0.54 in a scale from 0.1 -0.50. and ESR was 28 when normal below 20.
what can cause my problem? thank you in advance.
Had my gallbladder out and have been testes for food allergies. I had many food allergies, including wheat, and have drastically changed my diet. I will feel wonderful for a couple months after that and bam! The horrible ache in my stomach returns. It's a bloated full feeling and I can't bear anything around my waist. I need to wear very loose elastic pants. Could this be my MS? Thanks for listening.
Merry Christmas all! I'm having a bit if a nightmare...could be down to self indulgence and over eating yesterday- although I don't actually think I ate more than usual, but I am suffering with stomach pain. It's like a constant pain around the whole stomach. I think it may be trapped wind and have tried yoga positions, hot water and hot water bottle but no joy! I'm trying to stop myself from overthinking that something could be wrong. Any advice? I'm 21 weeks pregnant.
Food has no play in my stomach/ pelvic pain. I have pain EVERYDAY and it is almost constant. The pain is now moving upwards and also around to my back. I have been having this pain for about a year. All tests come back normal- transvaginal ultrasound, ultrasound, sigmoidoscopy, blood work. The pain is so bad at times I am nauseas. The Gastroenterologist just says I should eat lots a fiber and take a laxative....I disagree. Any ideas?
How is she not eating right? Sometimes it's hard for a pregnant woman to eat "right", for me when I was pregnant I ate what I could, usually it was fast food, anything healthy at all made me throw up! It's not necessarily going to hurt your child or her, she may gain more and have a harder time losing afterwards, but ultimately, it's hard to judge how she's eating unless you've been pregnant, taste buds and stomach tolerants are hard to please!
