Hey yesterday i had a really bad pain in the left side of my stomach it got so bad i couldn't breath, i rang the midwife but all she told me to do was take paracetamol and rest, I'm now starting to experience the same pain again and im getting worried, my due date was september 1st, has anybody else experienced pains on the left side of their stomach???
on the third day, the incision broke open (no infection) starting on the left side, but the wound leaked a lot for 3 weeks , then it took about 3 months for the incision to fully heal. For a while I had pain in the left side whenever I went for the prone position. That is almost all gone now. However, if I pick up a heavy object, the left side seems very sore and sensitive ( the skin seems sensitized ) and there is pain.
I have pain in my lower stomach and a lot of pressure and fullness on my left side under ribs for over one year. had an us today their is a cyst on my right ovary she didn't say how big. I also feel nauseus and tired alot and some times the pain goes dow my legs. i was just wondering if this could be caused by the cyst because the lady who did my us said that the pain in my left side under my ribs was not caused by the cysts snd it was probley my bowel.
But even before that i have had this pain in my lower left side of my stomach. I have had tests done and they have found nothing. The pain comes and goes. Usually after i eat something and walk around it gets very painful. I no there is obviously something going on. i just don't understand why they can't find anything. Could you possibly give me some answers?
They are not offering any other help for the pain in my left side and are saying that I will have to live with some of this pain. Also will not give me anything for pain that will help. I know there has to be something causing this pain and have even told them that I think they are missing something. I am going to find a new doctor because I am not convinced that ibs alone is causing all this pain and discomfort. It is definitely affecting my quality of life.
Hi I am 33 y/o male. I've had left side pain (front near ribs/side) for the past 3 months now. The pain comes and goes, seems like it gets worse after I eat too much, sit in certain positions, lie in certain positions etc. CBC and urinalysis are normal. Ultrasound of stomach area didn't find anything abnormal.
What could this be? If it is muscle strain how come it isn't getting any better? Are there other explanations?
i am 33 weeks pregnant and i am experiencing a severe pain in my uper left side of my stomach and its very tender like if yhu rub your hand across it it will hurt an i cant lay on my lsft side at all an it hurts wen i raise up or try and change sides an it even hurts when i sneeze and cough and i hav a bit ov a cold so i hav ben doing alot of that.

Hi, first of all it's so nice to know I am not crazy. Three years ago, while pregnant with my daughter I started to feel pain under my left rib cage. The docker thought it was her feet brushing against my ribs. Three years later, I am still in pain. Now the pain won't go away. I have had every test under the sun done. Endoscopy, colonoscopy, upper gi, stress test, heart ultra sound, EKG, five other types of ultrasounds ranging from uterus to spleen to gallbladder.
greetings to all, new development in pain range. pain is in my upper left side almost directly under my ribcage. occasionaly reaching a leve7-8 , i.e. pretty intense. comes mostly after ieat, but sometimes for no paticular reason. my primary care dr is now sending me to a hemotologists. with all the blood that's been drawn (i'm a hard stick) what could they possibly not know yet? we know i have gall stones & that my platlets are low.
Thanks alot for your advice, I am planning to go see a doctor on Monday as I have some other obligations (exams at school and work). I did go and get a normal massage which has helped the pain when I'm standing, the stress in the groin area to my left testicle has also eased up, just a little uncomfortable depending on how I sit and stand. I am feeling a very very little lump right under my stomach on my left side, it feels like its on the muscle. So i will keep you posted.

On Friday I had a CT scan and kidney function test done to check for Kidney stones or issues with the organs surrounding the kidney. The tests came back negative indicating that I don't have kidney stones and that my kidneys are functioning normally. The doctor has recommended physical therapy to address the possibility of pain related to muscular injury.
i have had this shooting pain in my stomach for about three weeks. i can't seem to find out what it may be. it's so bad i double over in the floor. i was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. it's not just in one spot it's all over my stomach. thanks.
I sat down heavily on the couch yesterday and the cushion pressed on my back on that side and I got a very strong pain which took a while to subside. At night when I lie on my back I have no pain. If I lie on my right side my left side suffers a
strong jab of pain and if I lie on my left side, the pain is opposite. If I just endure it ( because I only sleep on my side) then after a while the pain subsides.
