Avatar n tn After eating breakfast and belching for a couple of hours it usually goes away. I also gas up if I get very hungry which makes it hard to eat and get my stomach full, which makes me gas up. I take two generic Prilosec every morning which helps, but I still wake up gassed up. After I get rid of the early morning gas, I belch quite a bit the rest of the day, but at least it doesn't nauseate me. I don't pass much gas, so it all appears to be in my esophagus and stomach.
1007653 tn?1259385967 I have what I believe to be excessive gas in my stomach, I belch a lot and it's worse when I drink water, even just sips. When I rise in then morning I feel the air in my stomach and the need to belch, so I do it. I take antiacid medicine daily and some Dimeticone to help with gas but it's just a temporary relief. Why could this be? it started like 2 weeks ago, I have no abdominal pain, just too much belching! I've tried eating really bland and still the water makes me do that!

Avatar n tn yes I do have issues with rumbling and gas.. this pain is so bad. Just had a colonscopy/endoscopy about 2 years ago.. but just had a abdominal ct scan 4 months ago to check for a kidney stone, but my urologist mentioned my other organs, stomach, etc. and said all looked good. But you never know. I am a worry wart. This back pain, hurts bad.. and like I said it does come around to the front sometimes, this is sometimes without the rumbling..
Avatar n tn Hi I have pain behind my breastbone and slightly to the left side under my ribs, with excess gas and bloating to my stomach. I have also have heartburn occasionally. This has got progressively worse in the past year since having an endoscopy which found nothing untoward other than inflammation due to excess stomach acid.
Avatar f tn It is strange the meds that we can not tolerate and how they affect us, I was never able to take birth control, it always had a negative effect on me. U may want to try the probiotics every other day, and on the off day try a low dose of magnesium....but talk to ur Dr.....I found this helpful for me. How many times did they test u for the H.Pylori?..It took Drs at least 3 tests b4 they found it in my dad.....not sure how they miss it,but they can.
Avatar f tn However, most people who complain of excessive gas do not produce more gas than the average person. Instead, they are more aware of normal amounts of gas. On the other hand, certain foods and medical conditions can cause you to make excessive amounts of gas.
Avatar m tn Up until recently (May to be exact) I have not had many stomach issues. Lately I seem to have gas, excessive belching, stomach cramps and very long gurgling that keeps me up several nights a week. I see a functional medicine doctor and just found out last week that I have an incredibly low ferritin level. Ferritin is iron stores in the body. My ferritin level is only 9 and it should be 40 or more from my understanding.
Avatar f tn I need help with treating this as the excessive gas is really embarrassing. The list of symptoms are constipation, rumbles in stomach, excessive gas and bloating. An x-ray has proved my condition but the problem is that i need help with the treatment.
Avatar m tn Five days ago when I woke up I had a terrible stomach pain... I tired taking some pills and they relieved the pain for some time... A day after I started having excessive gas release... What I read on the internet is that flatulence can be a sign of colon or stomach cancer and that petrifies me. Sometimes I feel bloated. If anyone can tell me if flatulence is stress related... I've been under stress for a long time...and don't really know how to cope with it though I am trying a lot...
Avatar f tn and whenever I try to not make the gas out or should I say I try not to let my fart out. My stomach will begin to ache. The pain is uncomfortable that I really need to let go of the gas so I can feel at ease. Third, most of the time I have shortness of breath so I inhale deep through mouth. Please help. I don't know what medicine I should take. My bowel movement also changed..sometimes I feel like I have diarrhea.. but sometimes even if I want to poop. Its not coming out.
Avatar f tn t aware that laying on their right side can cause gas to build up in your colon and form a gas bubble. The way the colon is shaped and with the gas rising upward, when laying on the right side it gets trapped in the ascending and transverse sections of the colon and is not as easily expelled as it is when laying on the left side. I recommend trying some OTC treatments like beano, gas X, prilosec, prevacid, Mylanta, mylox etc. for a few days.
Avatar m tn It all started on Wednesday when i woke up with a stomach pain. The stomach pain is almost gone now, but the flatulence scares me a lot... I tried to find the reasons for the flatulence and what i have read is that it can be symptom of colon cancer... The stool for now is OK. I really want to know the first sign of colon cancer. What I've also read is that all this can be stress related and I've been under stress for a long time almost falling into depression... Please help!
Avatar n tn I am a 37 year old healthy female. For the past few weeks I have felt a fullness in my upper abdomen...at night it turns into chest discomfort - sort of a pressure pushing outward on my rib cage. My upper back also hurts all the time between my shoulder blades. I have slight scoliosis so I don't know if the back pain is related to that. I often feel like my heart is beating very hard and at night it feels like it is beating irregularly.
Avatar m tn eveyday, i have excessive gas under upper right quadrant . i feel twitches alwyas in this right quadrant but not sure if it is due to gas or bowel movement. when i expel the gas, it is not a smelling gas in fact. i feel bloating a lot. constipation is also present. what may the reason of such an excessive gas in the right part of abdomen?
Avatar m tn a year ago a doctor suspected me of peptic ulcer and he gave me pantoprazole 40mg and domperidone for 2 weeks. Then all symptoms were gone after the treatment. After a few months i started taking this probiotic (with 250 billion cfu) then i started to get bloated, felt like the ulcer symptoms came back. I've been like that for 6 months now. I feel like there's too much gas inside me. I don't have excessive burping/flatulence though.
Avatar m tn Bloating, gas, pain, nausea, indigestion and fatigue are signals that your body is fighting something you either ingest or a bacterial infection in your stomach or intenstine. If you notice no change in your bowel movement, I highly doubt it's IBS. Candida is possible, as is a food intolerance or allergy. If getting some tests done is not an option for you right now, try reducing your intake of common allergies like dairy or gluten and wheat and see if you notice improvement.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your response. I do not have any bloating or feeling of bloating or gas. I just have flatulence. Most times I have no warning and very little control because there is no feeling or hint that it is coming (or going!). You have widened my thoughts beyond stomach and the surgery as the sole cause of this debilitating problem.
Avatar f tn ever since childhood ive had gas issues, but now as an adult I am either unable to sleep or im waking up early in the morning in so much pain I can barely move because of the gas and discomfort in my stomach. so bad it makes me vomit. the only way the pain goes away is if I take a hot bath, vomit or go to the bathroom. what could this be?
1622406 tn?1299069611 (feels like gas is staying in my stomach and going everywhere but I also have excessive gas and excessive belching)....and my stomach hurt so bad that I can't lay on my stomach or my back. It hurts to touch my stomach. I am cramping all day and when I eat the cramps are so bad that I can't move. The pain has increased over a few weeks. It hurts to breathe. It hurts to laugh. It just hurts. Now I have fibromyalgia but I am in remission.
Avatar n tn For the last 3-4 weeks I have been having gas problems. First, it started with just normal gas but a little more than usual. Then it became bloating and a little more gas. Now, it has turned into excessive gas that has been quite frequent and to mention embarrassing. I usually don't know when I will pass gas. I have involuntary gas and voluntary gas. I don't know when the involuntary gas will occur. It always feels like my anus is open.
Avatar n tn I am a 27 year old male. I have had extreme excessive gas for a few months now. It is usually worst at night, maybe because of eating dinner, but not sure. It does not seem to matter at all what I eat, it happens every night. I am amazed at the amount of gas I have, it just keeps coming, I can feel it building up inside me and after I expel it it just happens again.
Avatar f tn m going to assume you have this excessive gas and have no idea why or what to do about it. Here is what I would suggest you do (in this order)...1. Make sure your eating a healthy diet. Lots of whole grains, fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc. 2. Make sure your bowels are moving regularly. That means you should have 1 large bowel movement every single day (some doctors say you don't need to have a bowel movement every day BUT THEY ARE WRONG!) 3. Take a probiotic. Try Activia.
