Avatar n tn t seen anything about round ligament pain connected to a specific excessive but after a week of running for me I can feel soreness there. Sorry if I didn't help much. Good luck on your journey and congrats!
Avatar f tn This pain occurs though when I am not on my period. Sometimes after running a mile it is so intense I have to lay down until it goes away. The pain usually doesn't last more than 10 min. The more intense the workout the more intense the pain. It does not feel like it is a type of muscle pain. Is there something serious going on, or is this normal? If it's normal how do I make it stop?
3923358 tn?1358552214 During the run i ger lower pelvic pain(around uterus) and nausea the pain feels like someone is stabbing me every step i take. Afterwards is the worst the nausea gets so bad i sit by the toilet, headaches come, i get so dizzy i cant walk, and i have the urge to have a BM(sometimes i do, diarrea). These are ruining my workout for me they may not sound like much but trust me, they suck. Is there anything that could be causing these problems? If so is there anything to do to fix them?
Avatar m tn It only comes on under very intense exercise of long duration and lasts a couple hours after stopping. She also says that her stomach gets bloated during the game. She has had this for about 6 months or so. I can remember that It all started after she was on a couple rounds of different antibiotics for a sinus infection that kept hanging on.
Avatar n tn About 3 weeks ago, I started having stomach pain in the middle and upper middle quadrants of my stomach after napping during the day. I thought it was from eating right before napping, so I stopped that, yet it doesn't seem to help. The pain only happens when I nap during the day, never after waking up from sleeping at night. It doesn't always happen right after I wake up either. Yesterday, it started about 6.
Avatar f tn hydration before and after running, eating before and after running, long distance running, and short distance running. Today I saw an orthopedic/sports medicine doctor. He took X-rays of my chest, listened to my heart and lungs, and applied pressure around my abdomen to feel for tender spots. He came back to me completely stumped. My blood pressure is great, my X-rays were clear.
Avatar f tn If you suspect gastrointestinal problems are to blame for pain, be sure to hydrate prior to running as dehydration often causes stomach problems. You also may wish to avoid leaving food in the digestive tract---you may wish to drink a protein shake prior to running instead of eating food in order to avoid gastrointestinal upset. In order to relieve a stitch, try stopping, leaning forwards and breathing out hard while pressing in to the painful area with your fingers.
Avatar f tn So when me n my bf have sex ( any postion we are in) for some reason i get a sharp pain in my stomach.. it kinda feels like i just got done running a mile. But even when im on bottom and dont do the work i get this pain.. anyone know what it is or how to provent it??
Avatar f tn I am experiencing severe stomach pain like someone is sticking a knife into my stomach. I get really gassy and have heartburn or my chest hurts. My mom seems to think it because I am not drinking enough water and I am dehydrated. I just dont think she is right because I am drinking water. The pain hurts so bad lately that it has made me stop running when Im trying to get ready for my season/tryouts coming up in a week.
Avatar m tn ve been training for a 5K and running pretty hard. After about a week of training I started getting bad stomach cramps and the bloody diarrhea came back. The diarrhea is bring red in color and after I go, the next time I have a bowel movement it is still a little red (but more firm), and then back to normal. The stools are normal again until I run really hard. My doctor doesn't know what it is and has referred me to a GI specialist.
665587 tn?1265946924 I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this or not, but here goes. My husband is laying in bed with severe stomach pain and refuses to go to ER...he says "it's the stomach flu...eveyone has it" My concern is this...he had this for 1 day in November, another on Christmas day that lasted 30 hours, and again today....it woke him up at about 1 am and been hurting since. Now he says it's getting better. The only other symptoms are chills...no nasea, no diarrahea, no fever..
Avatar n tn The last few months I have been experiencing excrutiating pain when running in my stomach, feeling as though I am going to be sick and have bowel movement at the same time. This only happens with running and not my other exercises. Any thoughts?
Avatar n tn He said the reason for the pain is because of the bile running over into the stomach and mixing with the food and with the powder it binds it together and stops the explosions (i used to call them in the stomach) the 2 meds together are working great and i am feeling alot better
Avatar f tn I exercise quite a bit and typically average 5 hours per week running, 10 hours per week cycling, and 2-3 hours per week swimming (yes, I train for triathlon...). That said, during the swim I have noticed that my Heart Rate does not increase much above 115 to 120 and it feels like my Heart is pumping very hard. I check my pulse after 500m on my Carotid Artery and it seems to be a much stronger 'pulse' than when running or cycling.
Avatar f tn Try drinking plenty of fluids with salts to avoid this. Gas in stomach too can cause pain while running. Hence you must rule out factors like acidity, belching , bloatedness, cramps, food allergy etc. Take antacid gel and omeprazole empty stomach in the morning. If everything is ruled out and there is a history of any abdominal surgery, then this pain can also be due to adhesions. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
744962 tn?1270942038 in the afternoon only i am running to the br if i drink anything and even if i don t but there is no pain just running urgent. only in the afternoon..
Avatar m tn i had an egd done at 9am this morn (3 hours ago). arrived home and ate lunch. after lunch my stomach hurt total belly ache. so i figured i ate to much and chilled out on the couch for a bit and then decided to take a nap... ache continued to come and go. stopped for a while then started up again before and after i ate supper. im wondering if i just over did it and its normal for these symptoms or if its something serious.
Avatar m tn Have what I'm assuming is siatica. Intermittent lower back aches, buttock pan especially when sitting too long, pain down the back of my leg, expecially when driving with foot on gas. First noticed in Thanksgiving, six months ago. Off and on have been trying stretches, ice, not sleepign on stomach, not running (usually I'd go running hafl an hour a day and wasn't sure if that was provoking it.
Avatar n tn and are you hydrating yourself before and after and during your runs? i have had nausea and lower ab pain after runs that last up to 3 to 4 hours and it isnt fun!! what i found helpful is to drink some water 1/2 hour before running and alot after running. usually you can tell if your past dehydration when running when you have cotton mouth and white stuff on your mouth (severe dehydration) and try to eat something lite 1 hour before running . like a piece of pb toast or a apple.
597183 tn?1226814437 However, I have toned down the intensity a bit. I used to love running, but now I tend to stay on the exercise bike so I can keep an eye on my heart rate. The problem is, I miss running and want to get back into it, such as 10ks and maybe marathons, but I've heard a lot of bad stories about people with heart conditions running long distances. Should I steer clear of something like this?
Avatar m tn Recently I have been experiencing excruciating lower abdomen pain when running outdoors. This pain is of similar characteristic to period pain but is definitely unrelated as it may happen one day and not the next and happens at all times throughout my cycle. It is not a 'cramp' as it is not muscular it is a more internal pain. The pain occurs about 2km in the run. I run at a constant pace so can not be linked to exertion.
Avatar f tn C during the procedure as well. It was a pain to deal with the kotex and catheter at the same time. As luck would have it, my period just started yesterday. Oh well. Will start therapy for the hand this next week now that I can drive again. The hand has gotten a little better. Avatar f tn Merry Christmas all! I'm having a bit if a nightmare...could be down to self indulgence and over eating yesterday- although I don't actually think I ate more than usual, but I am suffering with stomach pain. It's like a constant pain around the whole stomach. I think it may be trapped wind and have tried yoga positions, hot water and hot water bottle but no joy! I'm trying to stop myself from overthinking that something could be wrong. Any advice? I'm 21 weeks pregnant.
Avatar f tn I also have a hemmeroid, but I have never experienced bleeding like this. My stomach hurts after the run, but I feel fine the next day. What could be causing this? This discussion is related to Rectal bleeding after running.
