Common Questions and Answers about Stomach pain during first month of pregnancy

I've had to be on pain medicine on and off during my first pregnancy, and my current pregnancy, and I was on it continually during my 2nd pregnancy. I'm due any day with this pregnancy and everything is fantastic. My 3.5 y/o daughter and 20-month-old son are both PERFECT. neither were born dependent..they had no withdrawals, no delays, no breathing or eating issues...
The problem is with my first three daughters I had a little bit of endo pain first month or two and that was it and it usually didnt start up again until about 6-7months after I had the baby. I'm almost 6mo. now w/ my fourth and I'm having severe pain which feels like the endo pain I get.
I've ran throughout my pregnancy and have steered clear of weights. I feel like I'd be more at risk of over working myself. Having obvious joint laxity while pregnant can cause weight training to be difficult but strong muscles can only benefit you with the softening, by holding things together. I've only read positive things about weight training but I'm sorta nervous about how clumsy I can be.
now it's the question of did I have a what seemed to me as a very normal period during the first month of my pregnancy and I am 4 weeks further along than I thought (remember though, all my negative PG tests) or am I carrying twins!!!!! My ultrasound is not for another 10 days and this is driving me absolutely crazy!
At the 7th month of my last pregnancy, I was 40 years old, now 43, I began having leg itching after the shower, pool. There is no rash or allergies. It has gotten worse, now spreading to my arms. I am in perfect health and healthy. I am starting to be a little itchy all day now. Shaving my legs creates a terrible itcy leg that will last for several days on and off. I will not shave anymore too much itchy pain. My legs may be itcy at night a little, but gone after sleep.
I was actually going to ask everyone sometime when their bellybutton did pop out during pregnancy? Because with my first it didn't pop out until like 30 weeks and this time it was pretty much popped out at seventeen weeks! Anyone else?
Everyone feels better when they know the reason why. The sight of blood is very unnerving during a pregnancy, and I think they should be more accomadating in figuring out the reasons WHY it happened.
Ok I am kind of worried....... I have not had a period the month of Feb. I have taken 2 tests and both were negative. The last test I took was 3 days ago. This morning I woke up after a bad dream and went to the restroom and had some blood when I wiped. Not much just a little. A little lite cramping off and on. I laid down drank water and juice and used the restroom about 6 more times. About 3 out of the six had a little more blood. I usually start and FLOOD all over with HEAVY cramping.
Also, if you test positive for any kind of drug during pregnancy guess what?? Your dr can and will report you to child services and your dr will continue to test you throughout your pregnancy. And when your baby is born even if you are negative babys meconium and the placenta will most likely still test positive. So you could possibly have your baby taken from you at the hospital. I don't think that's something anyone wants.
i my head i knew that i was loosing our 1st child but in my heart i didnt belive it. during the course of day the pain got so bad..... i went to the loo and i was heavly bleeding (red) during that day it go heavier and i knew, on the night the sac came out....... and i knew i had lost my baby i had longed for..... i went for my scan, and it was confermend our baby want there...... i went on the sick from work and had alot of support but i wanted to know why??? why me?? why does this happen??
You are obviously a kind, decent person who, through no fault of her own, has gotten addicted to the source of her pain relief. Mariah, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You've done nothing wrong. Your heart is in the right place and you are already working very hard to help yourself and your baby. Frankly, the doctor won't care where you got the pills. He'll see an honest, conscientious woman trying to do the right thing for herself and her child.
the doctors say it is easy to have an erosion on the cervix that can bleed a little during pregnancy. unless you are in awful pain and bleeding heavy you are ok. my sister had a rush of heavy bleading and lost some big clots at 10 weeks. katelin is now 10 yrs old. dont fret about it its all normal. people can have periods all through there pregnancys. after having an early miscarrage, let me tell you...
but day by day the pain decreasing.this is my first pregnancy. i havnt visit doctor due to my pain. is there any problem me. pls advice.
I took quite a bit of fioricet prior to and during the first 4 weeks of my pregnancy. I have taken 1 a day, since I found out, (about 2 weeks ago). I am really worried obout the possible damage already done, any- thing?
I finally started bleeding heavy and DH rushed me to the hospital because of severe pain and had emergency surgery because of Eptopic. Now get this, my on Dr could not see nothing on her Ultrasound but the Er did which was growing in my right tube. My Dr's office had an outdated machine. Don't play with this. I did not lose my tube but most women do. Stay up on this and be persistent with your Dr. If your levels are rising then there is an egg growing somewhere.
A lot of it, I think, has to do with me not being comfortable during sex. The tightening of my stomach and the baby kicking at the same time (she is VERY active) is just not comfortable at all. The desire is just gone. not that I had a high sex drive before getting pregnant, but I especially do not have one now. Anyway, this is hard for my husband. He has a very high sex drive. But he understands it not being comfortable for me so he has been very good about it.
I went through this at the end of my pregnancy with my last child.........he was a month over due and for an entire month, I could not go to the bathroom, it was terrible.........so see if a different fiber might help............also apples and pears help move things along.........
I've had only negative tests so far since i missed my period almost 2 weeks ago, but i've been gassy as hell the last week and a half (coming from both ends!), moody, crampy the last few days, tired, dizzy, bloated, and my bras seem to have shrunk (and that area is really sore). But negative hcg tests. Go figure. My doc wants me to retest in a week and possibly do a blood test or ultrasound in case i'm one of those weird cases that has low hcg. Anyway, i'll find out this week.
I am 10 weeks pregnant and have bad gas pain too. I found during my first pregnancy that drinking some strong hot tea can help you to pass some of that excess gas. Hope it works for you!
During the beginning of my first pregnancy i was fine. Bout halfway in anytime i drank milk i would feel terrible, gassy in pain got the bubbles pretty much. After i had her i was fine :) then with this second baby(completly different dad and everything) im getting the same thing, early on though. I just a cup of milk nd boy oh boy do i regret it. Is this just something that develops with pregnancy? Cuz my daughters tummy cant handle regular formula.
I've tried the back of my arms and my leg (thigh, which bruised very badly) and my stomach- which so far has been the best. I was just wondering if there was any way to decrease the bruising...? Is it okay to massage the area to make the knot go away??? My stomach doesn't knot much...but arms and legs do pretty badly. Everywhere bruises...which is the part I hate the most about this whole ordeal. I'm only 8 weeks along..which means I have 7 more months of doing this twice a day...
My first pregnancy symptom is always getting very sick(not like morning sickness) its more flu like usually 1-2 weeks after conception. I always found it odd that i'd get so sick and i haven't heard of any others experiencing that. One of my doctors had said it was because when you get pregnant you become more susceptible to sickness.
I was sick the first 20 weeks, then the sickness goes away and now I'm in constant pain sometimes so bad that I can't move without crying.
Not sure if your able to do this at your job but try and eat a little something every few hours instead of just one big meal. I've been working thirds during my pregnancy too and I starting bringing things like bananas, apples with peanut butter and yogurt. Bananas are high in potassium which helps restore muscle tissue that may be stretching, peanuts give you protein which may help with any fatigue you are having.
There's definitely a chance. Every woman has a %25 of getting pregnant each month when she's not on birth control. When your monitoring your fertility and have sex specifically during your fertile time then that percentage goes up. You should be able to take a test and see if its positive or not. I love EPT (+ - ) kind and the Clear Blue Digital. both kinds are the ones I used when I got my BFP's with my boy's pregnancies.
lol usually if I spot a belly toucher I will put my clipboard (i register patients at a hospital) up in front of my stomach so they cant touch it or if I dont have my clipboard I will cross my arms across the top of my stomach or rest a hand on my stomach because they dont touch it if Im blocking them.. Lol playing some defense. No one has really made rude comments to me yet.. I get weird looks from some people because they dont know if Im pregnant or just fat..
Then on Sunday, the bleeding became heavier (though still lighter than a period) and there was about 45 minutes where I was *really* sick - nauseous, horrible cramps and back pain. When I checked, I had passed a clump of tissue - about 3 inches long by 1.5 inches wide, flesh/gray in color. The pain stopped almost immediately and since then I have only had light, intermittent bleeding.
