He had chronic headaches/migraines - made worse if we ran out of coffee - stomach pains and cramps, such that it was thought he had an ulcer, shakes, vomiting, muscle cramps and many other symptoms. When he was diagnosed he went 'cold turkey' and once it was out of his system all of the signs and syptoms disappeared. I have discovered that I cannot tolerate even small amounts of coffee. - even the weak sorts such as Latte's.

Is anyone else being atacked by an alien in your stomach? The best way to describe this is it feels like I am being nawed at from the inside by something with gagged little teeth. Last nite I was in the bathroom for an hour, and I am not overstating it; in agony. It might be that I did not get to eat or take care of myself at all yesterday. I had my riba about 7am, then rushed to await the birth of my new grandson, Gabriel, 9lbs, 11 0z ...
Now I have discovered I can do small amounts of dairy (half and half in my coffee, etc,) but chunks of cheese send my stomach into distress again. Also remember the amount of good bacteria you get in a small portion of yogurt may not be enough to offset the problem. Have you tried probiotics? They are available everywhere now and give you a good dose of the bacteria and enzymes you need for digestion. Good Luck!
It has ALWAYS been precipitated by my drinking coffee. Let me say that I've had a 'bad' stomach my whole life (many tests and nothing ever found) and coffee has been a love/hate relationship for me. It gives me indigestion and heartburn so I go off of it for a while but eventually come back.
I´m not sure if the doctors made studies of her small intestine, but I know the studied her large intestine and her stomach. Right now I ask her to stop drinking coffee again and to write down everything that she feels for two weeks. Then she is going to start drinking coffee again and write down her symptoms. We are doing this to see if the coffee is making her feel better or if it is something else. What kind of scans can she ask her doctor to do??

About 1-2 years ago, I noticed that I would get minor stomach pains when drinking coffee on an empty stomach and have to go to the bathroom more than usual. I went to my doctor and they said it was probably caffeine and gave no other advice/suggestions. Then, about 6-7 months ago I would get the same pain when eating chocolate. It was bearable so I thought nothing of it.
I love a little red wine with dinner and i drink 1 cup of decaf coffee in the morning but both cause me pain under my left rib, I'm told it's heartburn. Is there anything else I can do besides quitting the coffee and wine or taking a pill?
I suggest that you ask for an endoscopy to uncover reasons for the "coffee-beans" content of your stomach liquids - this suggests bleeding within the stomach. At the same time why not undergo a colonoscopy to check out the rectal bleeding - unless of course your doctor can be absolutely certain that the cause is minor such as haemorrohids or anal fissure. Don't be satisfied with a statement such as "...well it looks as if it might be ---anal fissure/haemorrhoids....
There are days I wake up and within a few minutes the pain strikes. I have cut out coffee, tea, soda, greasy foods, all the things that I have been told not to eat. Frankly the constant pain is wearing me down because I am so tired of living in pain. Please help!!!
I then was given Nexium which i am still taking but the burning in my throat became a very bad pain in my stomach again giving me that back pain. I also feel better when i don't eat. Lately especially at supper time, after i eat i feel i overate even though i have not. I have problem breathing and feel full and the pain is worst. I started taking some apple cider vinegar which i was told is very good for acid reflux. I am now scheduled for an Endoscopy to see what is going on.
When your having an attack food seems to amplify the pain. You may be experiencing a burning sensation in your stomach when it's empty, especially in the morning. My suggestions would be start taking over the counter Zantac 150mg and follow the directions. This is the medication the Doctor at the emergency room gave me. Except the dosage was a prescription of 200mg twice daily for one year. I take a digestive enzyme with every meal now. I also have to eat small meals every 4 to 6 hours.
i have a swollen distorted stomach, pain down the right side which varies from wanting to make me scream to mild nagging pain... i have constanst diarreha.. which occurs after every meal and is worse in the mornings, i feel bloated, tired and sometimes sick....
He will be walking to get a cup of coffee and double over with the pain. I have read info on side effects and things to do to help with them. I was wondering if any one else is experiencing this kind of pain and what they are doing to help make it less severe(if possible). Thanks for listening.
At that point, I had been eating spicy foods and drinking alcohol - (irritated stomach?). That pain has also since ceased. I have had, on average, 1 alcoholic drink per day - a mixed drink of 4 ounces alcohol in a 16 ounce glass for the last several years. I only mention this to establish that I've been staying within a routine. I drink about 80 ounces of water per day (kidney stones). No blood, nausea, weight loss or anything out the ordinary save for above mentioned issue(s).
My nine year old daughter has had spells of stomach pain here and there, a few times we had to take her in the local ED because the pain was quite significant. In August her pain started, and finally in September she was diagnosed with c. diff. She was still having horrible pain not improving after being placed on antibiotics, she was eventually hospitalized because she had completely stopped eating and drinking. At this time they checked her for c.
If I have milk in my coffee and then a bowl of ice cream in teh same day, I usually will end up with stomach problems and a headache. If I eat too much cheese, I end up with a headache. I can still enjoy some o fmy favorite dairy products, I just have to be careful with the amount that I have and how often.
A few months ago, she was put on Omeprazole and after 2 weeks of bad upper stomach pain, she stopped taking it. The problems have resided a bit, but has had pain and nausea every since. After many tests, all coming out normal, she still has not found an answer. The doctors don't have a clue what is wrong, but she believes the omeprazole caused some sort of infection and will be going on antibiotics this week to see if it will help.
