Avatar f tn Why do i have pain in my upper left stomach, nausea after i eat, loss of appetite, and everytime i drink water it makes it worse
Avatar n tn Since 2007 I've been experiencing chronic pain in my upper abdomen. It lasts for a few weeks at a time and is non-stop. Throughout the day and night it goes from being a dull, hungry feeling to an intense stabbing feeling, where I can barely stand or breathe. The only thing that seems to help is if I lay on my stomach, put heat on it, or have myself or someone else press on it fairly hard. I've had numerous tests including xrays, ultrasounds, gastroscopy, barium swallow, ct scan, etc.
Avatar f tn Every time he eats oily food or fat he let's out oil and loose stools . what can that be ?
Avatar f tn I have what feels like a chunk of my dinner sitting in the top of my throat, upset stomach, belching but I can't get the food to move. It comes up a bit when I burp and try to push but not all the way. Does anyone know what I can do to move this ? Doctor thinks I have GERD.
Avatar m tn For about 3-4 months I would get bloated/pain whenever I ate anything that was oily or greasy. French fries, pesto sauce, butter, etc would make me feel terrrible! And I threw up after just a couple glasses of wine. There is a rare side effect of drugs in the floxacin family of antibiotics (like levofloxacin). They can cause hepatitis symptoms, that include sensitivity to oil and alcohol. One year later, I find out I most likely have an ulcer.
Avatar n tn Hi, my husband also have very small 1/2 gallstone of 0.1cm, so no operation need to be done. He is having chinese medicine now, and his feces is being controlled from watery type to now banana shape. I heard that you will have to remove your gallstone if > 10cm, causing pain. if the gallstone is small, you will also have to watch on your diet. no oily food, no fried food. eat lots of vegetables and fruits.
Avatar f tn you're welcome :) actually that suggests still a galllbladder issue.. basically the gallbladder helps break down fatty foods or oily foods...but when it's really mesed up - any food and it'll bring on pain, especially if you have gallstones. It could be infection..food poisioning..or ulcer..there's a few it could be but the pain in the upper right after eating suggests a gall stone. Probably need a ultrasound to check.
Avatar f tn There was no physical examination, I explained my symptoms (nausea, diarrhoea, loss of appetite and abdominal pain - especially after eating) to him and he said there’s a possibility I have stomach ulcers and/or gastritis (caused by H. Pylori). I was prescribed Amoxicillin in conjunction with Metronidazole to take for one month, as well as Lancap. The pain after taking these were unbearable. Possibly because I couldn’t eat much without having pain and vomiting afterwards.
Avatar n tn I also have frequent stomach upsets with watery motion, especially after eating food that is not fully cooked (e.g. raw bacon) or drinking lukewarm water. My food must be absolutely fresh and cooked, no spicy or oily stuff.
Avatar m tn Hi, your symptoms could be due to Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which is a condition in which the stomach contents (food or liquid) leak backwards from the stomach into the esophagus. It could also be due to hiatal hernia. Hiatus hernia or hiatal hernia is the protrusion (or herniation) of the upper part of the stomach into the thorax through a tear or weakness in the diaphragm. This is caused by obesity, being pregnant, age, or thinning of the phrenoesophageal membrane.

Avatar f tn I have no stomach pain or pain anywhere else when this occurs. In addition to the pain, my spit/salvia becomes more viscous than usual. I have to spit it out in a cup or in the sink because swallowing it makes the pain worse, never mind that it is hard to swallow regardless. Once at this point nothing food or drink wise helps. Even water makes it worse. There is so no comfterable position to stay in when it occurs.

Avatar n tn I would get it checked out. Do you have stomach pain. Have you taken Pepto Bismol? Pepto makes your stool that way and is often confused with blood or and Ulcer.

Avatar n tn After my tummy relaxes, it happens again after 30mins to an hour. Did any of the food I ate, 2 days prior, may have caused it or is this my stomach's natural reaction to food that could be high in fiber, oily or half cooked? Thank you for your time.
Avatar m tn Hello Doctor, i feel uncomfortable after eating. And if i eat more food or more oily food, i will uncomfort in my stomoch and as well as right side of stomoch(near the right ribs). That is not pain, but it is uncomfortable. Why is this problem?? Is it because i am more weight?? as per my BMI, i should be around 70 KG. But, i was 90 KG around 50 days back and now i am 85 KG. I am maintaining the diet control by taking more raw vegetable like cabbage, brocolli, green leaves and fruit juices.
Avatar m tn Was told to see a specialist about weight loss, and pain! Went to the E.R. for severe stomach and back pain Sunday, was told I have too many problems for an E.R. doctor to figure out! He assumed I am anorexic (which I am NOT, this may be an eating disorder, but not that one! I don't see fat, I don't want to loose weight) Was discharged with pain meds, sleeping pills and diagnosis of: UNDIAGNOSED!! Follow-up with gastro on Wednesday of this week...no end in sight!
Avatar n tn Well, since last night I have gone to the bathroom 3 times, and each time there were orange oily droplets floating on the water (after bowel movement). I have no other symptoms such as abdominal pain, blood in stool, etc. but I'm still worried as I have never seen/experienced this before. I am hoping that it is all due to the Mexican food I had, especially since I haven't had anything so greasy in the last 3-4 weeks.
Avatar f tn In the last 6 months I have had no appetite and get very full, disgusted, or nauseous after only a few bites of food. I have lost about 40lbs. In that time I have had episodes of oily orange spots in the toilet water and leakage a few times, enough to concern me but not large amounts. I have also had a few episodes of dark red meaty bloody looking stuff inside the stool itself. Not in the water, not on the outside of the stool, not on the toilet paper.
Avatar f tn Hi.. I completely understand what mum's feel when their kids are unwell.. well yes gastritis is quite possible at any age.. it's nothing very serious but is a warning that there is a n inflammation in the stomach lining.. it sometimes cures with the help of some natural ways and food prescribed and if very severe can be treated by medicines.. acidity or gas formation may result in chronic pain in gastritis.. i would suggest don't keep your daughter empty stomach for a long time..
Avatar f tn hey! Recently I was very sick and was given azithromycin for five days. While I was on it, I had terrible stomach pain and diarrhea. Now, it is about three to four days after, and I've been noticing blood in my urine. I also have stomach pain every so often, lower back pain, and feel very tired during the day. This all started about three days into taking the medicine. I'm 19 years old and I'm a virgin so there is no chance of pregnancy.
Avatar m tn I am a 35 year old male and I have the exact same problem. After eating greasy food like things sauteed in butter or pizza, I will "burp" up large quantities of pure, crystal clear, orange grease. Nothing else, just grease that looks exactly like the stuff that pools on top of a pepperoni pizza. I, however, am not a healthy weight. I weigh in around 325 and have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Here is the kicker thought, My cholesterol is PERFECT.
Avatar n tn lol..ahhh the right side! Ahh that's ok.. well on the right side there's gallbladder issues..maybe you passed a stone and didn't know about it, and one way to help your gallbladder is to maybe totally avoid fatty oily foods for a good week or 2 to give it a break. If your diet is super fatty...not healthy then with a combination of antibiotics it could be quite a shock to the system OR liver pain..you've been drinking? Also antibiotics can do a number on your liver.
Avatar m tn Actually what happened is, about a week ago, I had had a dish very very spicy and filled with many kinds of spices and fry fruits like Cashew, almond, coconut crumbles, and was oily as well. After I had the dish, I had the fever which went as high as 103 F. Along with fever, I also had mild pain on the vaginal area, especially clittoris which felt like swollen. It remained for some days...
Avatar f tn Avoid fuzzy drinks, oily and spicy food and take omeprazole empty stomach in morning and antacid gels 2-3 times a day and see if it helps. At night, raise the head end of bed. Check your diabetes status. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar n tn (a few small scattered diverticula in the colon, single diminutive sessile polyp in sigmoid, it removed by cold biopsy forceps, moderate non-bleeding internal 2nd degree hemorrhoids) Would i need a new stomach endoscopy? i do feel more chest, back and liver area pain after i have oily food or sea food. Do you think is my stomach or gallbladder issue? Thanks doctor.
