I TRY TO AVOID THEM BUT I AM RUNNING OUT OF FOODS THAT DO NOT CAUSE PROBLEMS. I TAKE BEANO BEFORE I EAT AND USUALLY I END UP TAKING UP TO GAS X PILLS AFTER EATING TO HELP EASE THE DISCOMFORT. I HAVE TRIED DIGESTIVE ENZYMES OF ALL KINDS. THE GAS SMALL IS TERRIBLE. I AM DRIVING MY FAMILY NUTS. I AM ACTIVE AND I HAVE NO OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS. WHEN I AM NOT EATING THE WRONG THINGS I FEEL JUST GREAT.
I can not go to sleep for hours after eating.(gas).I seem to set gas and slight acidy feeling also on a empty stomach.I eat to much, and am about 50 lbs overweight.I did have a stress test 2 yrs ago,and had no problems.
if this is something u do not have often u can avoid it by not going to sleep right after eating...it is suggested that u do not lie down for 3 to 4 hrs after eating....and if u still have issues u may want to elevate the head of ur bed. U may want to try bitters.....it can help calm the stomach...but u should check with ur Dr or pharmacist for an OTC item available in ur area...like TUMS. http://www.medhelp.
HI, Swelling of the stomach after eating can be due to gas and bloating. This is induced by gastritis or hyper-acidity. A change in diet, use of bland diet and having a diet rich in fibre - fruits and vegetables and probiotics will help. Consult your Doctor. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor. Take care and keep us posted.
But there's one more thing, and that has to do with what your husband is eating...cabbage and cucumbers can create gas, eating fruit with a meal instead of as a snack, gulping food or drinking a lot of carbonated drinks... there are many foods that cause gas and you can do a general online search for more of those.

Thank you. I have been taking Nexium every day now. It has helped a lot with the trapped gas and some of the nausea I get after eating. I still get the "pressure in the throat" feeling and those sudden gag reflexes on random days. Still searching for a solution!
I sometimes experience stomach pain after eating a meal (usually breakfast). What happens typically is that I wake-up and eat a breakfast (sometimes leftovers from the previous nights, sometimes cereal). Then I’m out the door to catch the bus to go to school/work. It takes me about 1.5 hours to reach my destination, and I usually have to transfer several times. For the first part of my trip, I have a 45 minute bus ride where I usually nap.
I am a 38 year old male in relatively good health and I too suffer from Skipped Heart Beats due to intestinal distension or gas. 1 to 4 hours after eating usually does it. Within that time I will experience missed beats followed by several quick follow up beats. Sometimes it has been so bad I have started to black out. Limiting what and how much I eat is the only thing I know of to help the situation. I have had some cardiac work done but everything comes back normal.
For a while now my stomach has been getting a bloated feeling after eating and at some point i will almost always start getting a bunch of gas (flatulence) , This bloating usually happens after i eat, and it is especially noticable after i eat like my morning cereal or if i eat like oatmeal. Also when im eating sometimes it feels like i have to take deep breaths. My doctor thought it might be an ulcer or something, but i got a GI and it showed i digested fairly normally.

Started back on regular food (for me) yesterday and am not experiencing the bloating I was before, so hopefully things are back to normal. Am feeling a little stuffed after eating sometimes (but I was eating small meals while on my diet of blandness) but no bloating like before. BTW, an aunt recommended Flaxseed Oil (in capsule) as a good dietery supplement to keep things regular. I have been taking anti-gas Legumase before diner and it seems to help (it doesn't hurt at least).
Lately, I have been experiencing a flutter in my stomach after eating. If I do not eat for a day, I do not experience it. It is also accompanied by heartburn, pain, and excess gas(which was never a problem). I have been going through a very stressful time in my life following a divorce after 21 years of marriage, loss of my home and a major career change. I smoke occasionally and the only alcohol I drink is a few light beers on the weekend.
Thanks I'm eating something now cause I feel bad I haven't ate much but it kind of hurts. I have to eat laying on my side.
Not to mention the gas pains, which to do not escape, so therefore I am in agony after eating. I have another follow up next week. So basically, if anyone could let me know if they have any experience around the same issues, and possibly what your Dr. checked for that mine may have missed, I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance!
I have sporadic episodes of stomach pain with diahrea, usually starting with harder stool and then explosive diahrea. It seems to happen after eating. I have tried to figure out if it is a certain food but it is always different. When i have this episode at times it just pours out and I have no control and can't make it to the bathroom. I have had this happen without warning as well. I also have alot of gas (tons) and have alot of nausea. Gas at times is also uncontrollable.
I took Grains and Wheat and Dairy out of my diet for 2 weeks and my stomach still swells after eating. I don't get it. The only other thing I could think of is that I take Latuda and I also have the Mirena IUD. I just don't know what it is. I want to eliminate whatever is causing it.
One thing to consider is to wear a Holter monitor and record your heart rate when you have lots of stomach gas just to get an idea of what happens to your rhythm. Obviously, avoiding stomach gas would make you experience this less frequently, but I thing going after the diagnosis with a monitor would not be a bad idea.
