My father has had watery yellow diarrhea now since March 2005 (approx 5 months) He does not have any pain with this. Both my parents were in Spain for the winter (which is where they have gone now for past6 years) They both had flu in February (all of their friends had this too) my mum recovered but my father could not shake of this constant diarrhea, they returned back to UK early to seek help.
I also recently caught a stomach bug. I have had mild diarrhea for a week now. I am so dizzy and weak I cannot get out of bed (I have a bucket in my bedroom I'm using as a toilet) I had a dr's appt this morning but had to cancel because I was too sick. I have lost 5 pounds already (( am naturally skinny about 92 lbs and now I am 87).I am really concerned about this and so is my mom. What should I do?
Symptoms of Chronic yellow Diarrhea When a person has chronic yellow diarrhea, he will suffer from several loose and sometimes watery bowel movements on a daily basis for more than four weeks. The color of the diarrhea might range from a light yellowish-brown to an almost yellow-gray color. Cramps, fatigue and weakness are other common symptoms. Chronic diarrhea, which is diarrhea that lasts more than a four week, can result in dehydration and a loss of electrolytes and potassium.
Hi! So I usually never get sick. In the last 8 months I have had 4 episodes of the same "stomach virus". I wake up in the middle of the night with the doom feeling and have diarrhea. It quickly turns to bright yellow and I have multiple episodes throughout the night. I do not usually feel sick to my stomach like nausea but I have dry heaved with each of the 4 episodes. My last one was Thursday night into Friday.
Hello there I was down with flu/stomach bug last week and experienced most unusual symptoms! It started with high temperature 39C which was down do 38.5 the following day and it was gone on day three. I was in delirium all night and I sweat a lot which felt cold on touch. This all was accomplished with diarrhea starting with yellow on day one; going to green on day two and on day three was red! My urine also turned red!
Also this may sound gross but do you have any diarrhea with it? You could just have a slight stomach bug where you feel hungry but everything you eat is going to irritate it. I would wait til tomorrow and see how you feel and if you are still miserable and are vomiting I would see a doctor as it could be the start of something more serious such as food poisoning, a reflux disorder, bowel obstruction, gall bladder etc. You can vomit a yellow watery substance for many reasons.
04 I started having problems nausea and a gurgling gut that wouldn't stop. I don't recall if I had diarrhea but I did have a uneasyness in my stomach. After blood test I had H. Pyloria at 4.15. All other numbers were fine except for my indirect billirubin was 1.1. After the 2 week treatment for H.Py. things were about the same. The amox.for the H.py. caused diarrhea and I stoped taking it after 11 days. I had a upper GI done and found that it was irritated and red insted of pink.

I started having bad bright yellow diarrhea that burns so bad I thought I had the stomach flu and then 2 weeks wet by and it was not going away and none of my family was getting sick so I saw my doc and she found out that my gallblader was not working so within 5 days they took it out.
The organism virus/bacteria which caused the lung infection could have caused gastroenteritis (stomach) infection or infection of the stomach can occur on swallowing sputum. This can cause the diarrhea. So, please consult your primary care physician at the earliest. In the meantime you could try warm salt water gargles, steam inhalation and OTC Tylenol (acetaminophen). Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
loss in blood pressure that I couldn’t even hold my head up, felt like I would pass out; severe stomach cramps and liquid diarrhea, in my case there was no hard stool. I have experienced this problem probably 5 or 6 times in my life and I am 46. Difference today is that I did not eat a thing all day, only 3 cups of coffee over a 2 hr period and this episode occured around noon. In the past I some times felt like vomiting, but today I did not.
Then I had sudden severe vomitting, stomach pain and diarrhea back. Ended up in hospital as I couldn't eat or drink and the did a scan on my tummy which came up negative. Again I was put on some more antibiotics (they thought I had a Urine Infection) and was starting to feel better over the course of a few days and was eating more and more each day (I was also taking a probiotic).
Sort of feels the way your stomach does when you get the stomach flu. If that makes sense. This discomfort could also just be from me being so upset and crying lately though. My right side discomfort doesn't seem to be bothering me so much. I am going to head to the market this weekend to get some yogurt, as suggested. I had read about it before, but now that you've suggested it, I think that I'll give it a try.
you didn't exactly state if you did or not -- unless im blind) but you might have just had something really bad to eat that didn't mix well with something, or you might have an early case of IBS, or a stomach flu. Have you had any diarrhea since 2 days ago? Please tell me you're at least eating a little something. I know the pain is horrific, but jell-o or crackers or even lightly buttered toast may help decrease the cramping.
Hi, I've had a relatively good pregnancy until now, apart from the first 3 months of tiredness, nausea & almost constant headache & neck-ache. 12 days ago, at the start of wk 26, I began getting really tired again, although I continued exercising & eating normally. 3 days ago, I woke up with liquid diarrhea, exhaustion, a headache & sore neck - which I've had now for 3 days. The first day I barely ate; ate more yesterday, and little today. I'm not dehydrated.
I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your stomach to burn.Does your stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
I am a 31 year old stay at home mom. Last Sunday night I woke up with severe diarrhea (nothing but water). It is still happening, 5 days later. The first 3 days I was going on average every 15 minutes. Anything I ate would go right through me. I have not had any other flu-like symptoms, no vomiting, no fever, nothing. Today my stool is still runny, but a little thicker like sherbert. It is floating and it's a yellow-orange color. What is this?
Yes, your symptoms point towards stomach flu. During stomach flu a lot of gas in the intestinal tract causes pressure like symptoms and a gas filled colon can cause the backache to become more intense. Taking yoghurt and lactobacillus can help relieve the bloating and increased pain sensation. Persistent low back ache can be due to spinal nerve compression at the lumbar vertebral level. A MRI can help diagnose this. Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.
On the Thurday I vomited what only can be described as stomach bile (bright orange with chunks of dark mucas inside) and have had diorrea since that day also. It's now Sunday, I still have diorrea, I just almost threw up as a large chunk of green mucas was coughed up about the size of a 50p...My ears are still fully blocked, I can't hear my children or my baby crying in the next room, the only thing I can hear is my voice and my heartbeat.....
Every time I eat I belch for several hours after. Occassionaly I get a hot feeling running through my body. My stomach is still very unsettled. The diarrhea isn't so bad but that's because I'm hardly eating. I dread to think what this could be. Could a hiatal hernia be the cause of ALL these problems. I've had these chest pains before and was put on a treadmill a couple of months ago but nothing showed. Gonna see doc again on Wednesday. Very worried here.
If you have the stomach flu, is it possible to have diarrhea for over a week? I have had it pretty steady for over a week now. I don't have much of an appetite and I often feel nauseated. Sorry to be so gross, but my diarrhea is really yellow and mostly liquid. Thanks.
I had the h1n1 on 11/14 and the regular flu shot the week prior. My tingling started on 11/27. At first, I thought I had the flu or some kind of virus, because I had cold chills and a little nausea w/ it. But then i had the same thing happen about 5 days later. It would come and go w/ a few good days in between. Now I am tingling everyday.
yellow (toward greenish) diarrhea would mean that bile acids are not re-absorbed in your intestine from some reason, so they are excreted with the stool and irritate your anus. Pale (whitish, colorless) stool means excessive fats in the stool, which would be foamy and sticky. The problem is again from malabsorption (from intestinal inflammation, or from lack of digestive enzymes). stool testing is the first thing you need. This would lead your doctor what to investigate further.
Hi to all. I'm doing an online investigation about DIETARY FRUCTOSE INTOLERANCE (DFI). In this condition most fruits (apples, pears, prunes...), honey, some vegetables (tomatoes, artichoke...), products with added High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), sorbitol (in "low calorie" foods or "sugar free" chewing gum) and often wheat and onions cause BLOATING and DIARRHEA (also headache or depression). Whole stomach is tingling, feel like I was kicked in the gut, and as if I took too many aspirins, and feels like I am bleeding internally. Still pale, feel ill and eyes are blackened, sweating, weak. Visit to the ER produced no major results. How long is considered reasonable for stomach distress to go on after being treated for Giardia with Flagyl? Why do test results take so long for this? I still do not have the results.
I have had the same problem for about a month now, when I was younger (about ten or eleven) I had the 'eggy burps' usually after I had been particularly sick with one of the strains of flu (particularly stomach flu) just recently it got worse, it was non-stop hell for a day and a half, and now that I have just recently started eating properly again, I've noticed that there is always one connection to this problem (for me anyway, it could be different for everyone) if I eat any type of cheese, I
Hi there, I've had yellow liquid diarrhea for 3 weeks now. When i swallow any solid food, my stomach instantly begins grumbling like I am hungry, and my bowels go and I need the toilet immediately (it makes no difference in reaction, to what food I eat). I've no pain or cramps, or other sickness. I've been stool tested for bacterial infections and they came back 'normal', and i've had blood tests for liver, kidney, thyroid, and celiacs disease - which have come back 'normal'.

This morning I had a BM that I thought would be diarrhea but it was nothing but clear yellow liquid. My stomach hasn't been doing so good either so I'm wondering if it might be the flu.
Crazy but I had the same symptoms lastnight - stomach cramping, nausea, diarrhea, shaking shivers, teeth chattering - I could barely make it to the bathroom in time. I thought I was going to pass out. The only differenc eis I am 33 weeks pregnant. I am going in to see my doctor tomorrow regarding it but I was wondering if anyone else was pregnant with these symptoms? It only lasted 10 to 15 minutes but it was scary.
