Avatar f tn when he first had the symptoms was a day before i took him to the er he woke up with severe vomiting and stomach pain, his pcp diagnosed him with a stomach flu, i took him home and tried my best to make him keep liquids down and and keep him hydrated. the next morning he woke up with severe lower right abdominal pain and fever. i rushed him to the ER, after 3 hours of waiting the doctor ordered some xrays and notified me that my son had walking pneumonia.
Avatar f tn I need some help understanding if I have chronic appendicitis or possible acute appendix issues or just Irritiable Bowel syndrom issues. This is what I feel is going on. Ok, so for about a week or so I've been feeling some strange things going on in the area of my appendix and have no clue what it could be but I'm so worried.
Avatar n tn My 9yr son just was in ER for right lower quad. pain, rebound tenderness, low grade fever, vomited x1, not wanting to eat very much. Initally thought was getting the stomach flu until he didn't persist with the vomiting or had diarrea. In ER Abdominal XRAY was done- results large amount of stool and gas on right side. Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ.
Avatar n tn On the one hand, if you've got the flu, you're sick and will be sick until you aren't sick anymore. On the other, if you're concerned, a doctor would be much more valuable to you than us. If it were appendicitis, I'd think the pain would be a whole lot more than what you're describing, but if you really think you ever do have that go directly to a doctor, not to a website.
Avatar f tn They started near my belly button then moved around my stomach. While at the hospital I had a blood test, and an ultrasound done to check for appendicitis. And everything came back normal. For the last five days I have been having pains in my back, kidneys, right side, right side abdominal pain, pain near my belly button, pelvic pain, pain right next to my hip bone, headaches, and nausea.
Avatar m tn A few days ago, I started to feel really sick, I had diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, no appetite and headaches.
471949 tn?1236904026 Everyone I know (which is approximately 100 people family members) who have or had heart disease would complain of a nausea in their stomach like the flu. The pain was not sharp or stabbing. Diverticulitis on the other hand is very painful. Do you get sick after eating? If so, it could be your gallbladder which procedures crushing feeling in the chest and crushing stomach pain which travels upward to the chest (it's really bad).
Avatar n tn What you describe could be a number of things, including pancreatitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, ... or something else altogether. This set of symptoms doesn't seem to be the type one can afford to ignore. Pls see a doc/urgent care right away. Hope you'll write again to let us know how you're doing.
671285 tn?1292660161 Are my symptoms classinc signs of IBS? Stress? Or am I having appendicitis? I am scare though. The doctor cannot see me until next week. Dont know what to do. Feel sick.
18799278 tn?1484274288 I'm not a medical expert but it sounds similar to stories I've heard about appendicitis. Appendicitis can be very serious, especially if the appendix ruptures. It might be worth going and getting checked out by a doctor just in case.
Avatar f tn You could have an appendicitis, OR, you could have an Ectopic Pregnancy depending on how far along you are. Either way, I would head for the ER immediately. I've had 3 kids, and I know from experience that any complications should be addressed immediately! God Bless!
Avatar m tn He was in the hospital for a week as the doctor thought he had the flu. By the time they operated he was very sick and ended up in ICU. That surgery they said was from adhesions from an appendicitis operation he had in the sixties. His bowels did not work so they operated again and said he had a twisted bowel that they massaged. Now one year later these past two weeks he has been constipated and then had stomach pain nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Avatar f tn Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating? Thoughts?
2015757 tn?1409172476 So over a week ago my family all suffered from having the stomach flu, luckily i wasnt present for this. by the time i returned home everyone was well and healthy. The very night i came home i began feeling very nausious and having bad stomach pains. I figured it was just my luck and i was then catching the virus to. However as days passed by the pains stoped and the nausia remained.

Avatar m tn An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis. However, if you are still concerned, you can call your doctor and ask to speak to a nurse.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
289514 tn?1276903890 It could be simple food poisoning/stomach flu or it could be appendicitis, ovarian cyst, gall bladder/pancreatic problems, etc. if your pain is severe and persistant you should get it checked. Better safe than sorry. Abd pain is nothing to overlook.
Avatar f tn Last time I had no fever, but now I do. Is this a side effect, or do I have the flu? was it wrong to stop the pills? Are there any alternatives to birth control that I could take? thanks additional info: My period is irregular and I did not have it for three months until shortly after starting the pill. It is only now starting to stop, and has lasted about fifteen days. Do I have the flu, or is this another side effect from the pill?
Avatar f tn I'm scared out of my mind that I have appendicitis but also I don't know whether it could be something psychological or a muscle pull. It's in my abdominal area, kind of lower but sometimes goes up and on the right hand side. I've been passing gas a bit which relieves me a bit but the achy pain is still there.
