After a 3 day period of gastrointestinal upset, I began getting intense flu-like symptoms. My skin hurts and every nerve ending seems to be over exaggerated. I am shaky, weak and still a bit nauseous, but my lymph nodes seem to be draining two-fold. I feel as if the pressure in them broke and the drainage is unrelenting. I decided to postpone plaquenil to my daily med/ supplement intake until biopsy results were in and my Hopkins intern approves.
Hi Everyone, Same symptoms here! 39 yo female, have been exercising all my life and got those flu-symptoms (upset stomach & throwing up, hot/cold face, extreme fatigue, hammer headache etc..) more and more often in the last 2 years. The funny thing is that it starts within few hours after exercising, never right away. So each time I am thinking I am going to be okay, and then, boom, here it comes. Really frustrating.
I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your stomach to burn.Does your stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
My friend and I started to feel extremely sick about two days apart. It started with small fever and a small stomach ache and within the next day or two we had and extremely dry mouth, diarea, horrible stomach pains, nausea, nights sweats and loss of appetite. After about a month it seemed to go way. But then for the next 4 months I had a sense of being hot or a small fever. After that i would start to feel fine for a couple weeks to a months or two it varried.
I had the h1n1 on 11/14 and the regular flu shot the week prior. My tingling started on 11/27. At first, I thought I had the flu or some kind of virus, because I had cold chills and a little nausea w/ it. But then i had the same thing happen about 5 days later. It would come and go w/ a few good days in between. Now I am tingling everyday.
I have a bloated stomach 24 hours a day when I eat it gets worst........Can someone please tell me what this can cause from?
My 3 yr old granddaughter was complaining of a stomach ache. She had a fever and after it continued was taken to the ER. They did a urinalysis & said she had hematuria and to see a pediatrician. The next night she woke up several times during the night crying that she had a backache. She has an appt with the pediatrician on Friday but I'm worried something is going on that should be checked out before then.
I am a 22 year old female and I have had stomach problems for the past 10 months. I have had a UGI series, h-pylori blood test, adominal ultrasound, gallstones ultrasound, and they all came back negative. A doctor seemed to think there is something wrong with the lining of my stomach, while another doctor thought it was IBS.
Whole stomach is tingling, feel like I was kicked in the gut, and as if I took too many aspirins, and feels like I am bleeding internally. Still pale, feel ill and eyes are blackened, sweating, weak. Visit to the ER produced no major results. How long is considered reasonable for stomach distress to go on after being treated for Giardia with Flagyl? Why do test results take so long for this? I still do not have the results.
The pain in the lower right leg can be severe at times.I do not have pain in my stomach but that can also be the sign of sciatica. I also developed this out of the blue (unlike you when you run) and the conditions remain in time. Really my main problem is the right testicle pain. I would like to hear more about yours what symptoms you had in the past. Also, did they tell you what might have caused your Epididymitis? I thank you in advance for your reply.
I saw a post about atrial fibrillation and stomach gas possible association. I too have the same thing so it may not be all in your head if your suspect this to be the case. Most dr.'s think your crazy or never heard of this when you even suggest it. Thats whats wrong with most dr's. They don't think outside the box and most always treat symptoms with side effect ridden drugs because this is what they learned.
I try to squeeze it out and only a hard stool comes out. 5. The sweating stops and the stomach cramp subsides. I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
Diff, anemia, and mention to the doc about her feeling sick after the camp, and thus he should check for that scary strain of flu from last spring (a number of camp people in the mountains of NC recently got the H1N1 virus), also he should check for ordinary stomach flu, salmonella, and whatever else he thinks she may have caught in crowded conditions.
I got a ultrasound nothing found on my kidneys, went back after 4 months or 3 I had a infection on my urine, I got a abdominal and kidneys ultrasound came back good. So took antibiotics for my uti. I had a stomach flu 7 days ago and 2nd day I started feeling light back pain comes and goes. It felt sore. So I started driking water and pain kinda went away. So j been drinking plenty of water to ease the pain. And it help. The pain from 1 to 10 is a number 4. It hurts under ribs or back side.
I've been retaining water in my stomach, face, arms and legs lately. I've been flu-ish and lethargic but I thought that was nothing to worry about. I mentioned it all to my doctor and he said it was likely a food intolerance or IBS, both of which we eliminated. Recently I went to the ER for an unrelated matter and the doctor told me my lymph nodes in my neck and armpits are very swollen and I likely have Glandular Fever.
Just wanted to put it up help otherwise realise and keep on this sober path of real life..
My body was paralyzed so they had to give me an infusion to end the flare up. I was admitted for the stomach flu. I had chipmunk cheeks as my skin was very puffy due to all the sodium I was given. I was also put on prednisone to help with my energy level. I am off of it now. I have found potassium to be helpful. Can potassium get the myasthenia gravis into remission? I am also hyperthyroid.
Recently, I went to an urgent care and was treated for the stomach flu. The doctor told me my WBC was elevated, and I also had elevated creatinine and increased liver function (something like that). He said I was a candidate for diabetes. This week, I followed up with my doctor, and found my WBC was 12. Could this be related to my kidneys?

Five days later, felt nauseated, two days after that started vomitting. Called Endo who suggested it was stomach flu or gastrointestinal flu. I told him I know what the flu is and I don't have it. Rushed to hospital. Ionized calcium measured at 1.92 mmol/L. Kidneys creatinine doubled to 160 mmol/L (now back down to 88 mmol/L). Blood pressure was extremely high 168/78 and I was dehydrated.

I am 28 and recently had some quite severe symptoms that I believed were related to glandular fever. It started with nodes swelling at the back of my ears, then extreme flu like symptoms and ear infections. Then the dizziness began. A feeling of constant 'swimming' and of being light headed. I also felt extremely tired all the time and depressed. My mood swings were uncontrollable and I was told I may have bipolar!!
I'm 17, pretty healthy, nothing wrong with me except about 3 weeks ago I got a flu. Just the usual fatigue, dizziness, headaches, tummyaches, runny nose etc. that goes along with a winter cold. At one point I had blood in my urine but only once and my kidney area sometimes hurt. I did notice I was retaining water a lot, especially around the stomach area, to the point where drinking was physically paining my stomach by stretching it so much.
So a few months a go I had a bacteria virus in my kidneys and Colan. They said it went away but Every few weeks I get back pain and right side pains, I feel like i want to throw up, cant go to the bathroom, chills, fevers, bad migraines, like I have the flu and then three days later I am fine. I am not pregnant, you would have to have sex for that. I just feel sick, food makes me sick, all I want to do is drink Gatorade. Any Ideas?
I've read of quite a few other people who had neurological or arthritis-like symptoms associated with UTI and other cold/flu symptoms. it's probably caused by a strain of flu that can trigger immunological/neurological problems that can go on even for a long time. First of all I recommend that you begin keeping a journal of your symptoms, drugs you've taken, how you're feeling etc. at least for the headache Ibuprofen 400g or 600g should do. there are cheap generic brand in Pharmacies.
June 1 - abdom. discomfort, air in stomach. Dr. prescribed dompheridone. Felt issue was elivated acid in stomach. Since developed throat irritations, throat started clicking when swollowing. I also just have an overall disgusting stomach feeling like when you have the flu but it never progresses to anything but pain. I have had an upper gi, colonoscopy and a laparoscopy investigation and nothing has been diagnosed other than muscle spasms and I was told months ago that they would go away but new syptoms keep arising. Any info on what it may be, who to see or what to do would be very helpful.
and after I threw up I felt ok until an hour later. I got flu like symptoms...chills, queasy stomach, fever...a little stomach pain and body aches.. I got really tired and slept most of the day. Later in the evening I started having diarrhea. The diarrhea got to be uncontrollable and I would be up that night every 2hrs it seemed and would almost not make it to the bathroom. By morning it got more controllable and I looked up remadies and started eating bananas and drinking Gator Aid.
Hi Dark urine can either be you're not drinking enough fluid or a problem with your bladder or kidneys or liver.. Sometimes with a bladder infection, you can get bleeding, if it hurts to go pee, then this could be it. With kidneys, an infection would cause pain in your lower back. I would try drinking lots of water to see if the colour changes. Also, some medications can change the colour. Yellow stool could mean a problem with your liver, gall bladder or pancreas.
