stomach flu in adults

t thrown up(yet) but this diarrhea is killing me is there I can do to make it stop or should I call my dr when her office opens? This is my third child and I've never been sick while pregnant so I don't know what to do. Please help!!

Adults usually don't get GI symptoms with the flu. Flu symptoms include fever, headaches, cough, body aches.. You could have a stomach bug though or even food poisoning.

I am 39f. I had my colonoscopy done 2 years ago because I had the same things going on. Found 2 polyps, 1 was 5 cm. the other was 3cm. Both benign and was told I had to repeat the colonoscopy in 3 years. I'm going in to have a endoscopy (stomach) looked at. My GI doc said I have IBS. I've had this for years and pass blood every few years. Just make sure you eat plenty of fiber and lots of was. Low fat diet. Good luck.

dealt with the high pollen and allergies and again fluid in the ears. Tomorrow I go to have tubes put in. I am extremely nervous because I will be awake for the procedure. Any advice as to what I can except, during and after?

If you have been vomiting all day I suggest you call your Dr. My Dr had be go to the ER for IV zofran and fluids after 12 hours of vomiting. Also the flu doesn't usually cause GI symptoms in adults (it can happen in those under 3 years), so I highly doubt you have the flu. Probably a stomach bug, which needs to just run its course.

I have a 7 month baby and has the stomach flu in I just breastfeed and baby food.

If it only lasted a couple hours and not several days it was food poisoning...most people get it without even knowing it because they automatically label it as "stomach flu" if your doctor said 2 go if it doesn't go away I wouldn't worry about it if it's finally over with...

My 2 yr old son has just vomitted for the 3rd time since I've been home (12am) and 1 more time before that. He pukes and doesn't have a problem passing right back out. For example his last time he roled over and puked, cried a tiny bit and then he passed right back out. 3 days ago I contracted, what I thougt, was food poisening, but all last week my wife's mother was really sick with something... seems to be a coincidence!

i had chemotherapy when i was a child after succesfull treatment ,Two years later my doc diagnosed me as a healthy carrier in 1999. I never had any symptoms.my mum was devastated buy the docs said ill be okay because i cant transfer it to other people and it will not harm me, and i have been having liver tests almost yearly which turn out to be normal i have been married for 4yrs and my wife is not infected how is that possible.

Most adults have some immunity to it. We had a really bad year for viruses, flu, stomach flu, slapped cheek, shingles, and colds. I got slapped cheek with them and it was awful but baby is fine. The dr sent me in for ultrasound but everything was OK. I wouldn't worry.

SIRVA is caused when the needle hits a nerve, not bone. I have immunized thousands of children and adults. I use a 1" needle for children and frail elderly and a 1 1/2" needle for adults. On rare occasions you can hit the bone. Sounds horrible but the client doesn't even feel it. Yesterday i went to the doctor he took xrays and discovered there was a ton of stool in my stomach. It was so much that it scared me. The doctor told me to take miralax saying it will help me. However my stomach still hurts so much and im still so constipated. What else can i do?
