Common Questions and Answers about Stomach cramps upper stomach

stomach

Where in the "stomach" is the pain located (upper left abdomen, upper right abdomen, around the belly button, lower...)? Anxiety and medication for it can cause a number of effects on your GI system. Where the pain is may help define what the issue might be.
All throughout the night I had dull cramps all over my stomach and I'm noticing that my right side of my stomach is sore..mostly by my ribs. The upper center of my stomach is where most of the cramps are too. My baby still moves though. Does this mean anything? Earlier yesterday I did slam a door and there was a slight pain on my right side, but went away..idk if that has anything to do with it. I am 28weeks&3days.
While eating my nausea got worse and would stop me from eating. My symptoms led on to stomach cramps, upper / lower abdominal cramps/pain, gas, bowels rumbling, slight chills, loss of appetite etc. During this 2 month period I also experienced slight diarrhea, also change in color in my stools from green to nomral brown which went away. However I do notice that my stools seem to be slightly loose or greasy.
Ever since AF finished I've been having cramps in the right side of my stomach, and in my upper and lower stomach everyday. However they changed sides this afternoon and have become really painful. I've also have a really windy rumbly stomach. Are any of these symptons a sign of pregnancy? I normally get ovulation pain on and off for a couple of days but nothing like what I've got now.
Hi! Well, stomach cramps may not be really due to fibro. Debilitating cramping pain in upper abdomen is usually due to gall stones or severe acidity and in lower abdomen is due to kidney stones, trapped gas, ovarian cysts (burst or twisted) or bladder and urine infection. If she gets the pain again or is still in pain, it needs to be properly investigated. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.
My pregnancy didn't make it that far. I would say that since the cramps were in your stomach and not lower that it is probalby fine. Maybe you ate something bad or something that just disagreed with the baby. I know that when I felt the expanding uterus pains, they were much lower than my stomach. If it continues for an extended period of time or reoccurs, I would call your doctor.
For the past 5 months, I've been having intense pain in my lower back/lower right quadrant of my stomach. It should be noted that whenever I'd have menstrual cramps, these are the same types of pains I'd have. Except the pains became constant...everyday versus just around my period. They're so intense and achy, that it takes Vicodin for me to be able to handle the pain. Vicodin!
I have been up most of the night with stomach pains and cramps, constipation and gas. Hours later it turned into diarreha and blood. Now it just seems to be blood every 1/2 or so. When I stand up it really feels like I have to go and then just blood. Like a tbs or more of blood. I have checked the web, found Crohn's which my dad had, IBS and hemoroids. Seems to much to be 'roids. I am sure my diet lately hasn't helped.

Cramping on the left upper part of my stomach, also had diarrhea ( sorry tmi ) , following up with back pain
I had a ultrasound for the gallbladder, upper endoscopy, stomach emptying test, liver function test and they all came back negative/normal. Mine started 10 months ago, they come every month with no relation to food or time. Like you I have never had trouble with heartburn or acid reflux, I went to the ER and was told I had GERDS, and was given ZANTAC, then NEXIUM and the attacks still happened. It seems to baffle the DR's when I say it comes once a month.
I have been in a cycle of constant diarrhea for over 2 weeks now. I was looking for people whom have had the same symptoms as I have been fighting this for about 4 years now. I was unable to find any entries with my exact symptoms so I am going to post mine and see what I get. It all started when I was pegnant with my son. I began having severe sharp stabbing and burning pains in my lower right quadrant of my stomach.
I feel cramping and some sharp pain in my upper stomach and lower left side.. Is this normal? I'm 24 weeks what can I do about this?
But every 3rd day right now I have those very painful cramps - and since 2 weeks in addition to it (lasting about 2 hours) upper stomach pain accompanied by a very hard and bloated upper stomach area. I also have severe constipation right now. I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago and one year ago I had a hernia repair procedure done, which produced a severe inflammation in the scar area. I had to take Antibiotics.
Today out of the blue my stomach started getting hard as a rock soon after I started having mild cramps in my vaginal area what is that ?
For the past week, every time I eat something, I get horrible stomach cramps to the upper middle quadrant of my stomach along with neasuea. I am to the point where I don't even have an appetite anymore. I am 16 weeks with my second and a high risk pregnancy. I have also been feeling very hot at moments to the point where I feel so nauseated and that I might pass out. I don't know what any of this means or if I should even mention it to my doctor.
My doctor prescribed Belladonna Alkaloids tablets, which seemed to relieve the lower abdominal cramps, however the pain migrated to the stomach area. This pain was coming and going and was more of a burning type. When the pain peaked, I felt somewhat nauseous. This pain originated in the center of the upper abdomen (which was tender). Somestimes, it migrated up to where the esophagus ends. I did not have diarrhea, or a fever. I ate normally!
the pain is in the upper part of my stomach right underneith my rib cage and the pains seem to go right thru to my back... everytime i have this i vomit.... and a few minutes later the pains seem to go away as quickly as they arrived???? anythoughts ???
The stomach pain subsided slightly since then, but I now have been having REALLY bad gas (burping mostly), stomach cramps ALL OVER (pelvis, lower left and right abdomen, and upper abdomen), diarrhea throughout the day, acid reflux, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, heart palpitations, and it feels like I have a lump in my throat. I've just recently had a barium upper GI and everything came out normal besides reflux.
You see, over the last 18 months I have battled with these ubelievable upper stomach pains as well as severe cramps and diarhea. I have pain on an empty stomach as well as right after I have eaten. The pain usually begins in my upper stomach right below my sternum and then a few minutes or so later I get severe abdominal cramping and diahrea. This makes going out for a nice dinner at a restaraunt almost impossible because within minutes of finishing my meal I am in agony.
My symptoms for 3 years have been severe diarreha, yellow in color...severe stomach cramps and pains, sweating, lots of gas, pale clammy skin, and I would drool like I was going to vomit!..all of this right after I would eat or drink anything..the doc's could never find anything, till last year..like I said had my gallbladder removed...thought it would end, but it didnt! My gallbladder was so bad it also infected my pancreas..
