Common Questions and Answers about Stomach cramps fever

stomach

For the past 24 hours I have been suffering from severe stomach cramps. They last anywere from :06 to :10 and double me over. They seem to come every 10 min. or so. I am not nauseous or hungry and there is no sign of intestinal problems, just severe cramps. Could this be food poisoning? An ulcer? Sign of a blockage of some sort? Please advise.
my mom has a bad stomach ach she cant get up at all alot of pain she has a bad cramp and she feels like throwing up help she is in alot of pain
I feel them all over my stomach, not only my lower abdomen. Actually I am not even sure if they are cramps, but more like twinges or short, sharp pains that last a couple of seconds. I have never experienced cramps before my period before but I always know when my AF is coming because I feel SOMETHING in my lower abdomen. I have that feeling again, but it's weird because I just got off the birth control pill last month. Last year I got off the BC pill and didn't have my period for 9 months.
Last night, however, my symptoms began to flare up and I was left with a very upset/queasy stomach and stomach cramps. Then, this morning I awoke with a low grade fever, which has persisted throughout my day. Whatcould be causing the fever?? Should I go see my GI doctor? Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
hi im 17 years old and about 3 days ago i had a really high fever it got up to a 104 and bad cramping then i broke my fever the next day but now im having stomach cramps and they get worse each day.
I have been having severe abdominal cramps, vomiting, headaches, fever, chills, nausea, I have fainted once while sitting on the toilet. the cramps and vomiting get a whole lot worse after I eat certain foods. So I have been trying to avoid greasy fatty foods. But it never fails at least once a week I am in the bathroom hugging the toilet. At first my Dr thought it was my gall bladder, but after an ultra sound, hydascan and blood work everything keeps showing normal.
I have been up most of the night with stomach pains and cramps, constipation and gas. Hours later it turned into diarreha and blood. Now it just seems to be blood every 1/2 or so. When I stand up it really feels like I have to go and then just blood. Like a tbs or more of blood. I have checked the web, found Crohn's which my dad had, IBS and hemoroids. Seems to much to be 'roids. I am sure my diet lately hasn't helped.
My doctor prescribed Belladonna Alkaloids tablets, which seemed to relieve the lower abdominal cramps, however the pain migrated to the stomach area. This pain was coming and going and was more of a burning type. When the pain peaked, I felt somewhat nauseous. This pain originated in the center of the upper abdomen (which was tender). Somestimes, it migrated up to where the esophagus ends. I did not have diarrhea, or a fever. I ate normally!
does anybody have tips for taming cramps. i use hot water baottles but i have a sensitive stomach and cannot take most pain killers. Could there be something wrong with me?
hello all, I also suffered these disgusting eggy burps, diahrea, and stomach cramps and vomiting. Its absolutely terrible. I ended up in the ER once for dehydration (couldn't even keep water down). Mine would usually happen after eating at Mexican food restaurants, I was eating it quite frequently (once a week?). I'd feel very full and then get the belching- i'd know i'd be deathly sick for the next 24 hours. I would be sick about every 3 weeks!! Terrible. After scopes, tests and everything dr.
I am about 6 weeks 6 days along, I posted on here yesterday morning that I woke up at 4 am with like a lump in my stomach and cramps along with it. Later on in the day I started noticing that my lower back started hurting so I tried stretching it out but nothing helped it. A little while after that I noticed some cramping that happened every 2 or so minutes and then would stop but no blood. I am also running a very low fever of 99.8 degrees F. What could be going on with me?
So today i've been having cramps again. My nipples hurt to touch. I'm tired but been going through alot these last few days. Sick, then hubby has been running fever AND the new baby cousin coming home. So I took a nap today and when I got up I had some weird pain sensation in my lower left side of my stomach. Never felt that before. I'm hoping and praying everday that THIS is my month. I feel doubtful but all I can do is hope.
I began taking Metformin 5 days ago. On day 3 I had terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea and began running a low grade temp. 99.5 I still have the fever it has continued to rise to 100.7 with taking tylenol every 4 hours. Is this NORMAL? My dosage is 500 mg twice daily. Thanks!
My husband suddenly became violently ill, threw up and his temp quickly dropped from his normal of 98.6 (he is spot on with the average normal temp) to 97.2 then 96.9 and was shivering violently. He popped a couple of Advil's, crawled in bed with all his clothes on and within 20 minutes he was back to normal again. However, that night he sweat profusely and awoke with wet clothing. Is this some type of flu bug? It all happened and was over with incredibly fast.
She is constantly complaining of a headache, stomach ache, leg cramps, and she will often run a slight fever of 99.6 - 100.5. The doctor ran a blood test and the results showed elevated potassium and a slight elevation in her blood sugar. She then ran another blood test to check her kidneys and gave her a urine test. Those results came back fine and her White Blood Cell Count was normal.
Cramps are completely normal and expected in early pregnancy. Its your ligiments stretching and making room for baby in there. As far as your fever it shouldn't cause any harm to the baby. I had broncitis for the whole beginning of my pregnancy and had a fever for like 4 + weeks straight. If you believe you have a cold you can take robitussin for the cough. Tylenol should be fine for the fever. If you want to take anything else best thing to do is call and get it okayed by your doctor.
If it's unbearable than you need to get to a DR, but if it's just cramps like your period than your probably ok. As long as your not bleeding or have a fever.
Its there, it is making me so tired i cant do anything i feel like lying down. no fever, no blood in stool, mild chills, day 2 Is it just the stomach flu or something more?
Hi and sorry you are ill. There is no such thing as "stomach flu" meaning the influenza virus does not cause flu in the stomach. It is considered gastroenteritis. The symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, low grade fever up to 100 degrees and possible cramps are caused by many things, virus or bacterial. However, the most common cause is a virus called Norovirus. It is spead from person to person by fecal oral contamination.
Parasitic infestations like amoebiasis and giardiasis will also cause watery stools, abdominal cramps, nausea, fever etc.She should take a light diet and drink plenty of water. See a Paediatrician.A clinical examination and tests like stool examination will help. Do keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
I have had really bad stomach pains. I feel they get worse when I stand, sit or bend down. I am bloated, constipated and nauses and have really bad head aches. The pain in my stomach is really all over the tummy. It does not concentrate only in one area. Please help.
I havn't had any morning sickness or anything and all day today I have had dull cramps in my lower back just like before I was pregnant right before AF would pay a visit. Now I have these kind of dull pains in my lower abdonminal and they are making me nauseas(?) and hard to eat. I am about 4 1/2 months along. Is it something to worry about or is it somtimes normal.
A few days later, I noticed the dark brown spots on my stomach, just where I had a high fever. It was like my stomach area (abouve bellybutton) was being ripped out. Then, it went I guess all over my belly, like a cramping, that just would not go away. Like menstrual cramps could never compare. Urine stayed dark for days, until I got on antibiotics. In an odd case if I had been pregnant, or whatever happened, it was certain something went horribly wrong.
But today I woke w/ a fever of 101.5 and because I am feeling like a wimp and couldn't take it, I have had to take ibuprofen 2x today and it barely helped w/ the pain or the fever. It is still around 100. I don't feel like I am coming down w/ something else. I feel like I have been feeling on the ABx.

Thanks for using the forum. I recommend speaking with your doctor. Stomach cramps with antibiotics are not uncommon (the antibiotics make the muscles of the intestine move more quickly, and can cause loose stool as well). However, fever and itching can be a sign of an allergy. It is possible to develop an allergy at any time in your life, even to an antibiotic you have taken before. I hope this helps.
