Avatar f tn No, acid reflux is the upper digestive tract...its a weak stomach sphinter muscle that doesnt close properly causing heartburn, belching, indigestion etc. Diarrhea is caused by conditions of the lower digestive tract...IBS is an example...that can cause diarrhea as well as constipation and painful cramps.
1222076 tn?1423027749 I started getting minor lower stomach cramps I assumed it was just a horimonal thing but now Im not so sure. Today I got pain right after I ate I felt gassy and kept belching like I did before the surgery and the pain is in my upper stomach its sometimes on the left or at the upper to lower part of my stomach. The pain also kind of goes to my back like the gallbladder can cause . I use to get random severe stomach pain off and on since I was 17 so its worrying me.

Avatar m tn In the beginning of December, I had some sort of stomach infection, after it "went away," I continued to have stomach issues (cramps, belching, a change in bowel habits, some loss of appetite). I went to a GI, they did blood tests, including h pylori and c-reactive, as well as a CT scan. All normal and was told IBS. So it's been three months of the symptoms, they still continue.
Avatar f tn Hence you must rule out factors like acidity, belching , bloatedness, cramps, food allergy etc. Take antacid gel and omeprazole empty stomach in the morning. If everything is ruled out and there is a history of any abdominal surgery, then this pain can also be due to adhesions. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar f tn The last bout I thought I was going to die but I ended up barfing all my food. When I ever I eat my stomach blows up and I start belching. Now coming into 2012 my bowels have changed to pencil like stool. then I get cramps when I eat and constantly going to the bathroom but only a little comes out. I wait until there is more evacuation of y stomach. I get nause when I am in the bathroom doing a vowel movement. I also see mucus and that is odd. I am 43 years old female.
Avatar n tn Hello. I am a 16 Year Old Male. I've had, for about a month, constant abdominal discomfort. I've been having a lot of gas, belching, and rumbling (both feelings-near my butt and my stomach) . And then some days I might have slight-moderate random abdominal cramps, slight-moderate random abdominal pain, slight-moderate lower abdominal discomfort. My stools are sometimes loose, as in they're not usually a big long strand, but never diarrhea or pellets.
Avatar n tn Symptoms relieved by belching or taking tums. Is this GERD or something more sinister? My doctor wants to do an abdominal ct scan. This discussion is related to Chronic Stomach Bloating.

Avatar f tn i have been have discomfort in my stomach for about 3 weeks now.its accompanied by belching a passing gas.my stomach feels like there is somethng there i cant swallow.what could be the cause of this?
Avatar m tn Lately I seem to have gas, excessive belching, stomach cramps and very long gurgling that keeps me up several nights a week. I see a functional medicine doctor and just found out last week that I have an incredibly low ferritin level. Ferritin is iron stores in the body. My ferritin level is only 9 and it should be 40 or more from my understanding. I have been told the low ferritin can cause digestive issues and those should resolve once my iron stores are built back up.
Avatar f tn She was admitted under the Surgical team and had a Rhiles tube inserted (probably spelt wrong - but the tube up her nose, down her throat and into her stomach). This was supposed to release any trapped air or empty the contents of her stomach. Nothing happened and it was removed. She had an ultrasound scan which showed only a moderately enlarged spleen and slightly enlarged liver. An OGD (tube in throat and down into her stomache) showed nothing.
Avatar m tn constant nausea, stomach cramps, the feeling of something being stuck in the throat, watery stools, weight loss, loss of appetite, uncontrollable belching. These symptoms are occuring all day, every day. I need to know what's causing this because I am very worried for my health. I have never had these symptoms before, and have tried various times to stop them with medications like Prevacid.
Avatar f tn Diarrhea is better after 2 weeks of medicine but went to ER yesterday for severe stomach cramps. Also found out I allergic to all kinds of foods.
Avatar f tn Whilst I now have this constantly it gets a lot worse whenever I have any other kind of illness, be it covid, a cold, stomach bug, the trapped air / belching intensifies whilst I’m poorly, getting much worse in the evenings to the point where I’m awake until 3 or 4am vomiting because it’s so forceful I’ve been in the consistent phase of belching and trapped gas and had the consistent lump for about 3 years now.
731458 tn?1231520833 When I was 15 I went to my yearly check up, got blood test and everything, I was diagnosed with H.pylori. After that I was given a 14 day treatment to prevent* and ulcer. After I was done with it I felt much better for a few 5-6 months. Around the beggining of the upcoming year I started experiencing extra gas and belching. No pain just the need to belch continuously. And that was me for atleast 2months. I didn't pay much attention to it since it was just gas.
Avatar m tn Sometimes like it was 8 years ago, since I first came to this forum, and mentioned my PVCs and received the nice responses, my episodes of Ectopics have returned, accompanied by my stomach belching, and just awful anxiety....on same meds as 8 years ago...sometimes belching will help, but posture also sets the stage along with a full stomach and stressing too much about a situation....the random nature of these horrid episodes are scary and always will be, disrupting sleep, and activities.....
Avatar m tn Belching (eructation) is your body expelling gas or air, from your stomach. I'd suggest paying attention and avoiding foods that give you gas and a 20 minute walk after eating. 10 minutes one way and back, minimum, to help digest foods in your body and hopefully, decreases your belching. I would also recommend a visit to your physician.

Avatar n tn Aside from the excessive belching, what other symptoms are present? Symptoms for stomach cancer include abdominal fullness or pain, dark stools, difficulty swallowing, excessive belching, general decline in health, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, weakness or fatigue and weight loss. Belching itself can be due to other gastrointestinal issues like acid peptic disease, dyspepsia, etc.
Avatar f tn I've been having awful stomach pain in my upper right stomach for almost 24 hours now. It hurts to take deep breaths and nothing seems to relieve it. I initially thought that it was gas pains, but it just isn't going away. I am belching constantly but have no other symptoms.. I'm wondering what this could be, I know that it isn't normal.
