1179456 tn?1263926811 Hello, Does anyone have any experience with psoriasis clearing up after being treated for cancer? My father recently had stomach cancer removed and all the rough patches of skin on his elbows cleared up (only some redness remains). Is this a positive sign or should he be concerned? His doctor couldn't provide an explanation for why this happened. Thanks in advance for any insights you can send my way!
639396 tn?1223339971 hi, i'm 19 years old, female, and my entire life i have struggled with very severe and persistent stomach pains. the past 3 weeks have been incredibly hard for me. i'm currently enrolled in university and with my sickness it has been hard to be in class everyday. i have been in the hospital ER three times in the past week and no one can seem to figure out why i am in so much pain.
Avatar f tn No, but I've worked with them when I managed health food stores -- what kind of digestive problems? My guess is, yes, they would be good for this, unless it's some disease state natural medicine can't touch. It's amazing what some digestive enzymes, DGL and aloe juice can do for people, or chamomile for relaxing the stomach. Or just chewing more slowly, which I'm unable to do but which can work wonders. Or some bitters to help get the digestive juices flowing.
Avatar f tn My medicine says to take it on an empty stomach. I want to know what will happen if I don't take it on an empty stomach.
Avatar f tn Ok so I think I've caught the stomach virus from my niece, im 32 weeks & 2 days... What can I take?
Avatar m tn I have some questions referring to my dad who is sick. Last night my step-brother called the ambulance because his stomach pain has gotten worse. This is not his first time going to the hospital. This is probably his third or fourth time. The first time he went to the hospital, the doctor told him that he has stomach cancer. Later they said he doesn't have it.
Avatar m tn Could you please suggest any medicine or exercise or anything which can help his stomach to regain its tone and shape? Thank you.
Avatar f tn ve been having lower abdomen pain/pressure for a couple months and recently gotten worse. I went to the dr and because of my family history of ovarian cancer, my dr had me get an ultrasound. I went back on 7/1/2016 for the ultrasound results and she said everything looked normal (except for a small cyst on my left ovary, which was normal).
Avatar f tn I am involved with a small scleroderma group and we have had about 11 deaths to cancer with scleroderma. My sister also had scleroderma and ended up with lung cancer. The doctor is talking about treatment if i get any closer to cancer. I am not sure I am posting this in the correct place. I am not so good with the comp.
Avatar f tn i may have no place taking up space on this forum - however the man of my dreams (while undergoing treatment for Hodgkins lymphoma, was diagnosed with cancer in his thyroid)....his thyroid was removed 9 days ago and so far he was been prescribed Cytomel....his moods are on the depressive side, his appetite has increased and i am concerned because his physical energy level has drastically decreased. Although he is in remisssion from Hodgkins (thanks to God and excellent medical care)...
Avatar f tn Has anyone had to try more then 1 type of medicine to relieve their stomach pain from too much acid, gerd or whatever reason they are on the meds. I tried prevacid for 5 weeks and it didn't help at all. I am now trying prilosec and have been on it for a week now, It does seem to have helped somewhat but I still do have problems. I know some of my problems could be from not eating a lot. I don't know what to eat so sometimes I will skip eating which probably isn't good for my stomach.
Avatar n tn Not necessarily. Stomach cancer can often have negative blood work (except you may be anemic). However it is much much more likely that you have something like an ulcer causing the black specks. Stomach cancer is very rare! How old are you?
Avatar f tn Six months is a too long time and you should have got evaluated by now. Stomach diseses, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, stomach cancer all can lead to nausea and loss of appetite. Do you also have yellowish discoloration of your skin, eyes and urine? That could be due to gall bladder disease or hepatitis. Eat small healthy meals. You need to consult a primary care physician. He will further refer you to a gastroenterologist.

60505 tn?1313946644 "I am a 46yo (white) female, I have been checking statistics for stomach cancer and I do see as a female and with my race the odds are very low. For the last 2 months I have been getting stomach "pain" more uncomfortable than pain, along with a feeling of "fullness" sometimes with a sense of nausea. No weight loss. I would say I have been getting indigestion and reflux for as long as I can remember.
Avatar f tn I also probably should have mentioned that we have a family history of stomach cancer and stomach ulcers, which is also what got me to thinking this. My diet, when I do manage to get it down, is good - no worries there. I do not smoke, and drink alcohol occasionally. My specialist told me about an endoscopy but he said he didn't think I needed one, so instead, told me to wait. Do you really think it's worthwhile going back?
Avatar m tn I am very disturbed that the discomfort is not going. I have made 4 trips to the doctor and he is not worried. Do I have stomach cancer ? what should I do now ?
Avatar f tn I am a 36 year old female with a history of cervical cancer, had a hysterectomy along with chemo & radiation. I have been having daily severe stomach aches(will even wake me up several times in the middle of the night) along with stomach cramping a lot like menstral cramps that wrap around to my back for about the last 3-4 months. I have had kidney stones before but this doesn't feel like that.
Avatar m tn I am 47 and have severe health anxiety since last 15 years and was diagnosed mitral valve prolapse with trivial regurgitation before 6 years. All this year my fear was related to heart disease, attack, stroke arrhythmia, nuero problems etc. but one week before urine came from my blood and got scared and went to urologist and did ultrasound for kidney, prostate, uterus etc and there was no stone & infection. The Dr. gave me antiobiotic & told to complete the course.
Avatar n tn Hi laura, when researching i read on one of the sites.."you don't have voaries removed unless they are cancerous". Then I hear doctors say you are post menopausal, there's no function of the ovaries..you don't need something that isn't working or it will keep you from worrying about ovarian cancer!. Then my hormone nurse practitioner. says, " she can't over ride the doctor". Then I asked why must I not apply the hormone creme before and after surgery.
Avatar f tn So I had experience swallowing problems for a few months and my doctor asked me to do a barium swallow and chest xray..chest xray was clear and stomach was clear too but for my esophagus the results said GERD and mucosal thickening..
934469 tn?1244931966 We started looking elsewhere, Holistic medicine and eventually found a place in Mexico that cures cancer (ISSELS) we started planning for her to go into treatment but not before experiencing the horrors of our healthcare system. I took my daughter into emergency in the small town that I live in, her abdomen was extended. The doctors sent her home after doing scans and more Xrays with antibiotics for an inflamed galbladder.
