Please help my stomach :( anxiety all day making my stomach ache like im going to be sick. any tips or advice on how to ease a upset stomach caused by anxiety ?
My 3 year old daughter has had a off & on stomach ache for just a little over 2 weeks now. I took her to the pediatrician on Friday 7-14-06 & she said she thought it was acid reflux & gave samples of prevacid. She said we should see improvement in 3-4 days & I could also give her pepto if she still hurts later in day after prevacid. We have seen no improvement & last night I had to give her the pepto. I don't feel I should be giving her both of these meds everyday.
I didn't with my first but with this one I did I was constantly calling the doc because I am paranoid lol she said its normal trying putting your feet up or laying down and drinking ice water or even a hot cup of tea.
sick ('toxic'- as if I've spent a night drinking too much though I don't drink alcohol anymore, jittery, a little nauseous, jumpy, uncomfortable all over, tired, tightness in the chest, burning sensation in my stomach, flu-like symptoms, some pain in the stomach esp. upper right side) there's always LOTS of bile when I throw up. I do not have an eating disorder. It's not anxiety.
For the last month, at night time, I get a bad stomach ache that goes to my back between my shoulder blades. If I eat some papaya, drink something with aloe vera gel in it, eat some peppermint altoids OR drink Theraflu (which is kind of different)...the pain then goes lower and there's alot of gas that comes out which is good because it relieves the pressure. I have to be really careful what I eat...I DO have GERD and IBS and am on medications for that.
I had a c-section 4 months ago I've been having these god aweful stomach pains that make me douple over and last up to 2 hours it makes me feel like I can't catch my breath or even breath. The pain feels like some one is hitting me in the stomach over and over again! I've been to the doctor and they canno't figure it out they gave me some pills to help with the pain it barly works it only takes the feeling of being sick away!
I also have a constant nasal drip and throat clearing. I have never had as much as a stomach ache in my life and now I am constantly aware of my digestive system everyday. Since both are bacterial infections, is there a possibility that the superbug is responsible for it all? Do you have any ideas how this could just pop up like this? I live in Chicago and would appreciate a recommendation to see a doctor who will spend the time to help sort this out.
I saw a post about atrial fibrillation and stomach gas possible association. I too have the same thing so it may not be all in your head if your suspect this to be the case. Most dr.'s think your crazy or never heard of this when you even suggest it. Thats whats wrong with most dr's. They don't think outside the box and most always treat symptoms with side effect ridden drugs because this is what they learned.
I have a daily fever (no infections) and a multitude of other things but I keep staying away from meds, prescription and OTC because of stomach ache... Everything seems to upset my stomach but they tell me it could be a couple of months until I start to improve. Anyone use anything to keep their stomach feeling better?
Just a quick question......... I have read many many times about trapped stomach gas and/or acid triggering PVCs and even SVT! I have also read that the vagus nerve can be involved when this happens. I read somewhere that if the vagus nerve is stimulated a PVC can be triggered. I was wondering if anyone can explain how the vagus nerve may be irritated by gas/acid/indigestion. Also how is it true that the vagus nerve can be stimulated when you have a bowel movement?
The doctor did say it properly isn't the best thing to use but its worked for 5 wks so i'm gonna continue use it. I still get slight stomach ache and feel a bit odd when i have a bowl movement but nothing like before.
Also alot of people get some pain in the lower left or right abdo just from needing to open their bowels or pass wind - if this is relieving your pain, that's probably all it is. Peppermint tea, peppermint water, or peppermint oil capsules can help to relieve the discomfort caused from wind pain and irritable bowel. Walking often relieves it too.
What helps with nausea? And the whole stomach ache that comes with it?

You can gargle with warm salt water for your throat. A few drops of warm sweet oil (olive oil) in your ears can help them. You may want to try LifeSavers for your throat. I used the peppermint ones for nausea (still do even though I'm not pregnant). They might work for your cough and throat but the fruit ones may do a better job with that since they are more like cough drops than the peppermint ones. Hope you feel better soon.
Now, it seems even the blandest food and not much, gives me a stomach ache. Tigan barely helped at all and I am back to drinking ginger and honey. Even the enteric peppermint oil is repeating on me. Now, my low back and hip are hurting again and am afraid it is all the Pepto. I read it can cause myscle problems. I am still not even sure what I have and feel my GI doctor has given up.

My Dr has suggested I could have IBS based on the symptoms of having lower back ache, dull ache in stomach down to and including the pelvis, (exactly like period pains) odd spasms and a pain in my bottom like I need to pass stools but I dont need to. (passing stools and urinating is normal, although yesterday I felt myself straining more than usual.
I would just recommend you be prepared for any possible sx for the tx your doing and hopefully your sx wont get any worse then a stomach ache, but just to be safe, buckle your seat belt...

Making my leg and back sore and even numb feeling. When I stretch my leg it helps a little. Since im so early my baby would be too small to cause pressure on a nerve right? Flat SpriteĀ® is supposedly great at keeping the stomach from churning. Avoid foods and smells that seem to trigger nausea. Sometimes this will be nearly every food or every smell. Ginger, teas, cookies, even the spice can be helpful in preventing nausea. Acupressure bands can be worn like bracelets and can curb nausea while you wear them. But be forewarned as one mom says, stand next to a bucket when you take them off! Smaller frequent meals can also help keep an ailing belly at bay.
When I do actually find something to eat that doesn't turn my stomach i will eat it only to be hungrier than before or feel sicker than before. Iv tried peppermint tea but it turns my stomach. Iv tried ginger and lemon tea but again it turns my stomach. Iv tried dry crackers and mints but they don't help. Anyone have any ideas?
Do not take any medicines for stomach cramps until you have talked with a medical professional. Especially avoid laxatives, enemas, and painkillers. These are not proper treatment for abdominal pain and can make your symptoms worse. Here are some things that you can do on your own to improve abdominal pain. Rest - First is rest. Lie down and rest until you feel better. A warm washcloth or heating pad on the stomach for 20 minutes may help speed recovery.
My heart burn went away (thank God). My back ache has gotten worst! Contractions come more regularly now and insomnia is definitely at its worst.
