It felt like extreme heartburn to me and I would get pains in my right rib cage area, or right underneath it. I couldn't breathe and thought I was having a heart attack. I ended up having mine removed becuase I had stones (but I also wasn't pregnant). I would suggest just staying away from gas causing food and anything with excess fat and hopefully you won't get any more pains like that one. Good luck!!
They say when a person is having a heart attack that their left arm will hurt. What exactly does that hurt feel like? Are there other symptoms or could that be the only one? Thanks!
Alright everyone, tonight for the 1st time I just had the dreaded Copaxone heart attack thing. OMG!!!! I have NEVER felt like this in my life!!!! So scary!!! I injected in the top left of my left leg. Immediately afterwards I started to get a burning in my chest and up my neck and face. Then my entire body became tingly and my throat felt like it was closing off. I started feeling like I was going to hyper-ventilate. Thank goodness I had already read about this happening before.
I am so confused. I had a mild heart attack about 5 years ago and recently saw my dr. (EKG was normal) 1year ago I had a Cardio Scan done which was normal. I have always had stomach issues and now I am not sure if this is my stomach or my heart. Have an appt. with my cardiologist next week. The back pain is really the thing that is bothering me now. I can't make the connection. Can my GERD be causing this back ache? (already had gallbladder removed about 7 years ago) HELP!
do you deal with patients with coronary artery spasms, could i get a heart attack from these spasms. I tend to wait before going to the er. and last but not least i always seem to have normal ekg's, do these spasms not show up on ekg's? cause they always say well your ekg is normal but i'm clearly having a spasm. thanks so much for your help.
He was 49 years. The cause was a heart attack. All this started roughly about that time. So I am sure Anxiety/Panic has something to do with it. Well thats about the sum of it. Just want to match up with others.
My for finger on my right hand was numb then my heart started beating hard, not fast, not irregular, just hard. My back stated to ache in the left shoulder blade and then my left arm started to hurt down to just above my elbow. This was now about 7:30 and my eye site had finally come back. I was still feeling all other symptoms listed. I took a bath for about an hour finally able to read a magazine. At that time my tongue became numb and lasted for about 15 minutes.
How big is the dose of aspirin you take, 75mg isnthe dose people often take to reduce heart attack and stroke risk, any more and you maybe risking stomach problems. My doctor told me not to take aspirin at all ( even though I worry about my own chest pains) as it's an acid and can cause all kinds of problems with the stomach. I think you should speak to your doctor before taking anything like aspirin regularly, it's best to have a professional opinion.
Please remember that vasospasms can also lead to a heart attack... I had a heart attack a few weeks ago and have unstable angina. The heart cath showed that a small artery had collapsed... not a blockage, a collapse. Nitro (given to heart attack patients) can make the small arteries re-expand. My cardio enzymes continued to climb for three days then finally started to go back down.
My left breast has dull ache(no sharp pains), pain and weakness in left arm, sometimes nauseous, sometimes dizzy, sometimes mildly short of breath and sometimes my heart feels like it is racing. Could this be a heart attack? I have started walking in the last 6 months and lost 35 pounds..
Sometimes I am feeling like getting panic attacks, means sweating a lot, no sleep at all, shortness of breath, dry mouth, gas, high heart beat, fullness after meal, very fatigue and huge amount of head ache. Mostly it happens in night and winter season.I feel very down and do not feel to go out or call friends and relatives and even hesitate to take call from friends and family members. I think for that only I am getting stomach upset.
I thought I was having another heart attack because the symptoms felt the same and I was relieved when told what it was. I was given some medication to lower the level of stomach acid and three weeks later I was fine again. If left it can damage the valve at the top of the stomach, so I would recommend a chat with your Doctor. If for some reason a Doctor is out of the question (Don't know the circumstances), try sleeping more upright at night, use more pillows.
If you're gay or lesbian and had a heart attack at a young age plz reply. I'm scared and angry.

He takes a whack of blood then tells me something has shown up and he needs a gyny to review the results. I have a heart attack and think I'm having a miscarriage. I'm bawling my head off when he comes in the room and asks why I'm crying. I tell him and he responds - "Nobody's every miscarried from an upset stomach." Phew! The hypothesis was that I might have gallstones (apparently happens in early pg as the digestive system slows down). I returned this a.m. for an u/s.
I also get Reflux on occasion. I have had bloodwork, chest x-ray, and heart ekg, etc. I am confident its not my heart. I get some intermitent dis comfort on the right side..just below the right ribs, but sometimes lower. Also, I get an intermitent chest ache just under right breast towards the middle....sometimes a bit of discomfort under right shoulder blade. I seem to have gas, and the other night I had moderate heartburn right in the middle relieved by 150 mg. of zantac.
i get those symptoms... nervousness, sweaty, shakes, heart races, stomach ache when i think about or have to attend some function/gathering. i feel as if im being judged, critiqued, i care way too much about others and what they think, how they view me and that need to be perfect. its all very exhausting and can run your life. it does sound like you have some form of anxiety. panic disorder? you also mentioned you think often times something is physically wrong.
Six years ago I had what doctors told me was a massive heart attack. However All i felt was a mild burning sensation in my chest which I wrote off as heart burn. I went to the ER 8 hours later and they told me the ugly truth. What really shocked me was the lack of any of the typical symptoms - I had no heavy chest pain, I had no back pain, I had no jaw pain, I had no left arm pain. Three weeks ago my mother had a heart attack.
They are located in the center of my stomach and upper abdomen. These symptoms are sharp pain, ache, gassy, back ache, radiates, and it sometimes feels like my abs are sore. It feels very acidic and gassy, and I am very nauceous from this as well. Two weeks ago I did vomit 3 times. Today I have the same symptoms, but have not vomitted yet thankfully. Help!!!
I had been dwelling on my heart for several days (extra beats), and when I paniced I had my husband call 911 believing I was finally having the heart attack I fear daily BECAUSE of the appearance of the new symptoms. Dizziness, cold hands/feet, chest tightness/pressure/pain, tingling, pounding heart, and eventually the inbility to feel my heart beating was the normal sequence of events, in that order, during my common panic attacks.
Pain under the left shoulder blade is usually a referred pain from abdomen like stomach ulcers, pancreatitis, or ectopic pregnancy or from the chest like in heart attack, pericarditis, pleuritis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, and aortic dissection. Acidity too could be the cause for pain. Discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this or not, but here goes. My husband is laying in bed with severe stomach pain and refuses to go to ER...he says "it's the stomach flu...eveyone has it" My concern is this...he had this for 1 day in November, another on Christmas day that lasted 30 hours, and again today....it woke him up at about 1 am and been hurting since. Now he says it's getting better. The only other symptoms are chills...no nasea, no diarrahea, no fever............
about a week after the first incident, I had exactly the same symptoms at home (may have been food related since I had been eating very bland after first attack and that day ate things not so bland) started about 7 pm and continued until around 2 am - since then, I have stomach ache, stomach tightness (like clenching muscles all day) and a kind of gnawing all in the middle of stomach around belly button alternates between - longest time was about 10 straight days without stomach issues.
I had asked the doctor in the ER how do you know when you are having a heart attack from the gerd if the gerd can mimic the symptoms with the chest tightening/spasms/radiating out from the center of the chest. He just shrugged his shoulders...said you can't. So, I am wondering what would have triggered this and if I should go to ER if this worsens. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I remember with mine, I thought I was having heart problems, because I would have chest pain for no reason, and it was so bad at night that I thought I would have a heart attack. My stomach would hurt (like your daughters), and I would attribut it to an upset stomach. I finally went to the dr (when I was 18 years old) and was diagnosed with ulcers. This was after heart tests had been run, of course. Anyway, the ulcers eventually went away.
I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your stomach to burn.Does your stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
I felt so worn down that I ended up falling asleep for about 45 minutes and I didn't hear one thing. Now, I am panicing...did I have a heart attack? Why was this so painful and long? There is still a slight odd feeling between by breast bones...maybe the size of a gumball. Of course, I am slightly dizzy and just really worn. I have a high tolerance for pain and since I am home alone with my 3 children, I kept thinking I just have to get through this.
I dont think it is frozen shoulder, although I cant move my arm upwards it seems to be pain along my arm as well and into my elbow....ache, ache, ache. What with stomach ache and not eating much I am beginning to think something horrible this way comes. Not long now and I have the rheuy appointment but if this pain and the tummy ache keeps on I shall have to see the doctor. I have actually started to loose weight .... over half a stone since xmas.
Cause of such panic disorder mostly remain unknown but in this disorder you may feel symptoms like shortness of breath, feeling of choking, pain in the chest, nausea, stomach ache, feeling dizzy, tingling or numbness, chills /hot flashes, bounding heartbeat or fast heart rate, sweating, shaking etc. even without any underlying disorder. This disorder needs to be thoroughly assessed by a psychiatrist first since this can occur repeatedly and without warning.
