I know niko likes cocunut oil, but it disagrees with me sadly gave me terrible stomach ache. I dont cook much with oil anyway everything is grilled mostly. Its a challenge, but your family will benefit from it in the end. Dont give up though, like i said its no point in trying to check everything, just start with the basics, and then the rest will follow. http://celiacdisease.about.com/od/glutenfreefoodshopping/a/GFshoppinglist.
What is it antihistamines do really? I mean, I know they calm down histamines (of course) but I notice that my stomach ache is lingering with them. Can stomach ache be an actual symptom of allergy? How come the antihistamines takes my tummy ache (located upper: quadrant, right side, below rib) away? Does the liver have anythign to do with allergical reactions too? I just find it a pequliar mystery.
I know it's really hard to give up wheat--I put off thinking about it, but then my kids turned out to be allergic to gluten and we made the house gluten-free. After a while it gets easier, and you know you will feel better. It is definitely a bummer not to have support from your doctor. In my experience, you have to trust your own reactions to foods even when the official medical tests show nothing is wrong. You know your body and how you react. You wouldn't make up something so unpleasant.
now on a daily pill....maybe you should have the test done......previous to this, I had stomach aches, sore stomach (feeling like muscles had been clenched all day) or stomach gnawing over a period of about 6 months.....have tried to eliminate as much gluten and dairy as possible out of my diet in case some of my problems related to food intolerance or allergy (these are the two more common ones)....hope this helps.
My 3 year old daughter has had a off & on stomach ache for just a little over 2 weeks now. I took her to the pediatrician on Friday 7-14-06 & she said she thought it was acid reflux & gave samples of prevacid. She said we should see improvement in 3-4 days & I could also give her pepto if she still hurts later in day after prevacid. We have seen no improvement & last night I had to give her the pepto. I don't feel I should be giving her both of these meds everyday.
try not eating gluten my uncle had the same problem and now that he is on the all gluten diet he dont have that problem anymore. it was all due to an allergy to gluten. hopefully you get some help.
I have suffered stomach problems been diagnosed with NBS when I was younger when it was worse, with lots of tests and visits to doctors and research on the internet. I have found that not eating certain foods has helped wheat can be a problem so only have one slice of brown bread a day. Live yoghurt helps acidopholus can be bought from health shop in tablet form.
What about trying a gluten free diet? If she wont eat bread because it gives her a tummy ache there could be something to that. Pretzels would have gluten too but maybe they take longer to absorb then bread so it's not noticed right away. Either way I would push back at your Dr. or find a new one who is more willing to listen.
I m suffering from stomach ache and digestion problem for two weeks... Still I have stomach pain and tiredness. Is this common to every one or I need to take any medicine for that...

I note that when I fail in my meals and have to eat something with gluten (you cant imagine how much stuff has gluten in it), I immediately get stomach ache and bloating......but not as bad. Now I have dropped 5lb in weight too, feel tons better, and the stiffness in my legs has improved, in actual fact I noticed the other day the burning that has been with me constantly in my right leg sort of disappeared..... My fatigue levels are tons better......
I'm 18 years old. Have been having stomach pain for the last 6 month. I get it every time I eat anything, it doesn't matter what it is. I'd describe it as lightheaded, dizziness, I almost feel "high". And after those symptoms pass, they are followed by constant stomach churning and gurgling, and it's painful. I barely have an appetite anymore, I've lost 30 pounds or so since this has started, I'm not a shy eater so I'm very confused why this is happening out of the blue!
He was on medication since then, however the stomach ache is getting worse. He gets stomach ache every time he eats anything, if he eats too fast or too much. He gets stomach ache accompanied by nausea, when is gets hot. He has had three very bad episodes where the stomach ache lasted up to 48 hours with vomiting and NOTHING took the pain away. He has had a gastroscopy and blood tests and barium meal etc etc etc, and the doctors can find nothing physically wrong with him.
I am also trying very hard to put her on a gluten free diet since when going over all my notes of when we took her off it , it seemed like she felt better not eating gluten. It is really difficult to do low glycemic and gluten free at the same time, but I am so desperate! She can barely make it to school and if she does, forget about doing homework! She's a mess when she gets home! Any thoughts? Thank you.
Its wierd, my veins (especially by hands) hurt and my joints muscles ache as well. The stomach pain is AlWAYS there and has been for over a year now. Sometimes I get palpitations after eating, as well as constipation after meals. Stool is always different.. sometimes dirreah. Often I feel like im dying. I always look like im "high" or "stoned" and it gets worse after meals.
i've thought maybe the possibility of a smaller form of lactose intolerance or maybe even a gluten allergy but when i drink milk sometimes it actually helps and even when i avoid foods with gluten i still have stomach pains.. spicy, greasy, and fried foods are all things that i try to avoid because i notice a direct link to stomach pain.. coffee depends on the acuidity, i've noticed my mothers coffee hurts my stomach while most diner coffee is just fine..
-I woke up one day about 5 months ago with a horrible stomach ache and flu symptoms -Symptoms went away instead of the stomach ahce, which was still horrible -Got prescribed some meds from the doctor a couple weeks later, and I felt a little better the next day, but it's been the same ever since -I've been dizzy lately. Getting my contacts checked and being treated with Vestibular Rehab (but it's not doing anything).
My 8 year old has been complaining of a stomach ache off and on. It has been occuring about every 2 weeks or so. This last one has started 3 days ago and continues, and failry constant. The pain is generally located on left lower abdomen but now is in the upper abdomen between his ribs. He has atleast one-two normal bowel movements daily, but does not relieve his discomfort. I have watched his diet, but it does not appear that a specific food is causing the pain.
I am not taking any meds that should be hurting my stomach like this. it gets better after i have gotten up and eaten something, but i can't figure out what is causing it. does this have anything to do with low thyroid or low cortisol?--or am i having another unrelated problem that should be checked out?
I am a 24 year old male who considers myself to be fairly athletic and healthy. Sadly, I started having a (left)lower back ache(close to my tail bone, approximately where my vertebrae is connected to my pelvis) back in March of this year. From analyzing my own daily physical routines, I strongly feel that the cause is my bad posture from driving my stick shift car where I had to stretch my left leg far out to reach the clutch.
Hi Have u found solution to your problem yet or figured it out yet Sounds like I have a very similar condition I have constant nausea & stomach ache for about a week ranging in intensity happening at the same time every month which is straight after my period I'm on no medications just the pill which I stopped for a while & made no difference I have had this for about 3-4 years now I've had so many tests with no answers (blood tests, ultrasounds, gall bladder test, camera down into my st
School nurse called me at least 3 different times to tell me Em was in the office with a stomach ache but had no other symptoms, her sugar was fine and did not have keytones. She missed a lot of school, we went to the doctor several times, they did blood work and all kinds of tests but could not find anything wrong. Every time she would complain and I would keep her home or go pick her up from school, by the time we got to the doctor's office the pain was gone or subsiding.
nausea, stomach ache, vomiting even when he only eats crackers or plain rice or a banana. He was given Phenergan for nausea and Domperidone (this has been ordered from India because it is not available in the US - and, of course has to be paid out of pocket - we have not received it yet). He has missed 10 days of school again and has been put on homebound schooling again. Will this ever end?
i experienced stomach ache, bloatedness, as if too much gas in the lower lf side of the abdomen (that is in the colon).
I keep laying on stuff to put pressure on the area that hurts because my grandmother always told me if you have a stomach ache, then lay on a pillow, it would usually help. Well, it hasn't this time and I'm starting to get really worried. Someone please help me! :( It hurts when I breathe....
