Grossan Hydropulse or a neti pot to flush your sinuses any time you get a cold or congestion to keep the infection from coming back. These methods have less risk of getting dizzy and falling in a shower, when a person gets older.
I've been given Keflex, Bactrim and Clindomycin on several occasions and it still keeps coming back. This is now coming on to 8 months since I first starting having this problem....am I frustrated and worried as to whether I will ever get rid of this? YES!! Am I worried that this constant antibiotic use is going to do more harm than good? YES!! So now what?
Well when she was writing her check she was telling me she had staph on her finger and took antibiotics for it and it went away for two or three weeks and it is now coming back. She showed it to me and was touching it. However it was not open or oozing. Just alittle swollen. I was freaking out I took her check and went and washed my hands.
A week after we got home she developed this red quarter size dot on her face. Then a fever, we went back to the ER to find out it was a staph infection. Not mrsa but staph. They medicated her and it has since gone away but left a scar on her cheek. She came out of the hospital sick. Last Friday she had to go back for a VCUG and Renal U/S. I had all my own towels and sheets. I would not let them touch her or lay her on anything.
It needs to be treated sooner rather than later, because it keeps coming back until it is treated properly. Certain biotics treat certain germs, and if it is not tested it is like a shot in the dark. I talked to my insurance co. nurse and he advised me to have it swabbed and a blood test taken. Let me know what you find out. Wish you the best.
Hi, From about 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI, kidney infections epididymitis and orchitis. I used to get this about every 3 to 4 months. I used to end up being hospitalized and get antibiotics through an IV. In 1999 I had a vasectomy in the hope that this would prevent the infections from going into my testicles. The vasectomy had complications and a year later ended up loosing my left testicle due to a staph infection. The rate of infections slowed down in 2000 up to 2003.
Sounds like the pus is starting to come out. But if you pick a staph infection it isn't like a pimple it will spread the infection. Try not to touch it. Wash you hands often and use clean towels. You may want to go back to the doctor since you opened it up. If it isn't getting better they may need to change the antibiotic.
He has had boils in the surrounding area in the past and it looked very different then what keeps coming back on his cheek. We tried the hot compresses to his cheek, however, the last time we did this, it really seemed to aggravate the area. We will definitely get him an appointment so that they can check out his blood sugar levels (does this relate to diabetes? He does not have diabetes but it does run in his immediate family) We will also bring to the doctors attention about doing a culture.
I went on vacation for a month and i didn't experience a yeast infection cause i haven't had sex. When i came back i had sex with man man and I notice that it reocurred again. I treated it everything was fine, until we had sex again it came back. I made an appointment to see my doctor and he gave me a precription for it.
Hello, Possibly your son may have a carrier status for staph aureus and possibly getting auto-infection.Common colonization areas include the anterior nares of the nose, axilla and groin. A culture from nose may conform this. Treatment of nasal area with mupurocin, hand sanitizers to prevent transmission from nose to hand help to avoid recurrent infections.Nose picking is to be avoided if he has the habit.
I know it's sinus and ears. Did you go back to have your tonsils checked? May be infection in there. If you're reading the forum I think we're all trying to help each other and getting nowhere. My face hurts today.
When i arrived he dicovered that i has a major staph infection, he put me in the hopital that day and i had 3 more surgeries in the next 5 day's to clean the infection out, it was so deep they called it a bone infection, all told i was in the hospital 10 day's on this visit. After going home i was placed in the care of a home health agency(which i cannot name at this time) they came to my house and showed me how to do my anti-biotic infusions thru my pic-line.
When my son was about 2 1/2 he began complaining about his back hurting mostly while in his carseat. I worried a lot and tried to find information online, but couldn't find anything that seemed to fit his problem. He eventually outgrew it and is now 6. Now, however, my daughter is 2 1/2 and is starting to cry and complain of back pain while in her carseat! She does get some relief from putting a pillow on her lower back. So interesting to read these posts!
Clues that you may have a bacterial infection include - pus coming out of your nose, - upper tooth pain or pain in your face, - sinus pain on one side, - new or worse symptoms after initially improving after a cold Instead of antibiotics, reach for over the counter painkillers, fever reducers, and decongestants.
Just some info on vaginal strep it can be caused by soap products in the bath or that are used in washing the child, so can bladder infection and staph infections. I know this sounds far fetched but it is true as we all contain these elements in our bodies but at the right balances. Soap products clogg and surround these and protect them from our bodies natural defences to keep them in check. Lots of children have had these from Johnston baby products such as Shampoo, bedtime bath etc....
I have taken drugs orally, through injection, insertion to my vagina and cream for rubbing yet it keeps coming back. I nolonger notice my ovulation and am planning for pregnancy. I got out of the hospital Saturday after 3 weeks starting with Ischemic Colitis, possibly due to Lupus Anti Coagulant, pneumonia, staph infection, extremely low blood counts mainly. I had my first solid meal last night. Lost 12 lbs and quit smoking, although I need a program now! I had 7 different dr's all trying to keep me on full tx meds. I did it. I now have to take 17 shots a week for blood count and blood thinning on top of interferon.
He has had several courses of antibiotics and several different creams, but it keeps coming back. His nose also gets somewhat swollen. It is very unattractive and the itching is terrible. Hello, It can be a boil or a cyst. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. . Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle. Treatment includes antibiotics and incision and drainage and do not touch or pick them up.
Hi, It sounds like a boil. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Pls keep the area clean and apply some warm compresses.
its probablly just skin/puss, but its rather wierd, and it keeps forming back and coming out, and the bump is always there and wont go away even if i squeeze it and clean it. im pretty sure its not a wart, because its more like a pimple that wont go away, even if its not infected. please help. thanks in advance.
Go back to the doctor. That could be cyclic and hormone-related (like a form of acne) or it could be a form of allergic reaction or something else. It they are not open, you may try a cortisone cream on them- if it is an allergy (like to the detergent you use for your laundry), it may help. If it's a form of acne, it won't help, but there are topical agents for that as well.
It is on my right hand so it is really bothering me and I always use gloves now when washing the dishes etc but it keeps coming back regardless...
It looks like a staph infection to me. I am surprised they didn't make sure you started on an antibiotic and sent you home from work.
I don't advise you to pop the boils your self because they will keep coming back as they have for my sister...after a while the infection sets in and it's harder to get rid of, you can also spread it from one place to another. You need to go to the doctor and have them do what they call a small surgical procedure. It's not as bad as it sounds..all they do is numb the area and the doctor will squeeze all the gunk out of the boil...that's what they did to me.
So, yes your rash in the photo looks like chiggers to me too but could be something else (or part of the Staph infection). Maybe some of the Staph infection is probably resistant to some antibiotics and that is why it keeps coming back. You may want to get another culture. As for the Lyme you need to get treated properly for this. I would see a "Lyme literate doctor" (LLMD). You can find one in your area on www.ILADS.
I've had two surgeries on it in the hospital over the years and nothing keeps it from coming back. I've tried antibacterial soaps, tea tree oils which is said to kill Staph, continuous bathing, Echinacea, vitamins, healthy diet. "Nothing" helps. So much for the ingrown hair theory! I really don't think that is it at all at this point.
I did recovery but am always concerned about this kinda COOTIE coming back (to haunt me) So.. with that said.. LEE... PLEASE BE CAREFUL.. and.... take care of YOURSELF!
