Please help me with why I am experiencing a sharp stabbing pain in my right breast near the nipple
Hi guys for about 3 weeks i have had a stabbing pain in my right breast. M breast is really painfull ive had to stop wearing a bra. The stabbing paing pain is not constant but when i get it it is really painful. I am currently 23 weeks pregnant ive contacted my midwife and she seems to think its ot pregnancy related. Ive also checked myself for any lumps and havent found any, but i am really worried as it could be something which may affect the life of my unborn child.
Yesterday I started to get these wierd pains. They are sharp, stabbing pains. It's not in my abdomen. I'm not sure if it is my cervix or my uterus. It feels as though the pain shoots up from my vagina. I know that sounds really odd, but it's hard to describe. The pain comes and goes. It is driving me nuts and scaring me. They are quick and intermittent. Is anybody experiencing the same of have heard of anything similar.
Gallstones are more common in pregnancy and present as sharp stabbing pain in the right upper quadrant, usually occurs after a fatty meal. You would need an ultrasound to diagnose this. Initial treatment is to change your diet - eating only non-fat meals. You may want to look up "gallbladder disease" on the internet and see if your symptoms are similar.
But i have been feeling more tired, some every now and then nausea, mild cramping, some time feel bloated, gassy ( sorry TMI) extreme lower back pain, and quick sharp stabbing pains in my breast is that normal? I dont have soreness in breast. I will be going to dr soon to get a blood test cuz i still have not got my period and i have never been this late. Any advice or past expirences? I would really appreciate it!
I have been feeling so good this pregnancy and then I just bent down to get a baking dish and when I stood up, my left rib under my breast had the most intense stabbing/sharp pain! I had to take a really shallow breath because it hurt so bad to even breath...I thought it might just be the baby in an uncomfy spot but it is going on 15 minutes...I am sitting now and do feel a bit better but if I try to take a full breath, it starts up again...Any advice!?
Now that my cycle is over with they are painful, everytime the nipples get erect it feels like rocks are in them. the pain is pretty bad, the pain is modtly in my left breast but it does go into my right. Also right before or sometimes after my cycle, I notice I get pain on my left side that goes all the way down to my left knee, and I am talking stabbing pain!! Plus, there's more, last month after having intercourse with my husband i spotted for two days straight, this is not normal for me.
I have sharp pains like that not really my nipple but more on the sides. I am not pregnant (pray from the bottom of my heart to be soon) or nursing but I have often wondered where in the world they come from.
Im 28 w pregnant and lately I've had a sharp pain under my left breast almost everyday and when i lay on my left side is this bad? I don't think it's my baby kicking..... Is anyone having the same problem?
When I touch it, it feels like a sore muscle would with a slight stabbing pain. My breast does appear slightly puffy where the pain is, but no discoloration. My OB has felt around the area and can't find anything suspicious. She notices that the area is slightly swollen and has suggested that it's just inflamed glands or lymph nodes. I'm just concerned because the pain hasn't subsided and has been there for a couple of weeks.
For the last week and a half I have experience stabbing pains in ONE of my breasts, followed by swollen lymph nodes in my armpit. At one point, one of the lymph nodes was so large I could see the lump. It has since gone down but is still palpable and still painful. Now, even the back side of the armpit is sore (the part away from the breast) The entire breast involved is harder and lumpier, and slightly larger than the other. Occassional sensation of burning in the nipple.
you need to have a mri on your back as well, i have similair symptoms and have felt for years that i might have ms but the dr said i do not.i get stabbing pains in my head like some one stabs me with a knife but it goes away in seconds. i have no idea why.
Mine aren't sore like before a period. They are sharp stabbing pains. Periodically I feel stabbing pains all through my breasts. Or does it just feel sore like when you workout and your muscles are sore and tired??

It was a sharp stabbing pain which lasted 2 minutes...then it was gone but with light pain in my right breast. Not to mention I had what I assume was the flu & nosebleed. I think I ovulated on the 9th cuz my cm was extremely stretchy & clear Has anyone had these symptoms & were (ended up) pregnant?
The whole pregnancy has been painful but was tolerable pain without pain meds until week 17. Around week 14 she became confined to the bed only getting up to go the bathroom to use the toilet and keep up her personal hygiene. Its hard for her to walk. At week 17 she landed in the hospital for 3 nites to begin a pain management plan. Again right before her 20th week she ended back in the hospital and thats where I am writing this post.
My breasts hurt to the extreme just last week and now they are just sore if they are touched and I've gone back to having stabbing pains every once in a while. I'm still tired but I have not experienced this morning sickness yet. (Still hope I don't) I feel nauseous at times but more like after I eat...I feel full for a long long time! I'm soo terrified of losing this baby...
Signs and Symptoms Ectopic pregnancy can be difficult to diagnose because symptoms often mirror those of a normal early pregnancy. These can include missed periods, breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, or frequent urination. The first warning signs of an ectopic pregnancy are often pain or vaginal bleeding. You might feel pain in your pelvis, abdomen, or, in extreme cases, even your shoulder or neck (if blood from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy builds up and irritates certain nerves).
Yes ma'am, and have been having them since about week 15! One thing about it you only hopefully have 20 stabbing back pain, full bladder syndrome, toes in your ribs, butt in your side weeks left to go! That didnt help did it? :) I'm knocking on week 27 and the count down has begun 13wks left on this journey to dirty diapers, engorged breast, sleepless nights, and uncombed hair. Motherhood, gotta love it. I wouldnt trade it for a thing in this world!
I have pain under my right breats, in the rib cage. Stabbing pain but also hurts to touch. any idea what this could be!? I have had 2 babies in the last year, could I have pulled a muscle?!?
I have been told I had two ectopics before although i have never felt any pain. Just sharp stabbing pains in the cervix and backache and cramping and brown stuff as well via toilet usage....but I often wonder if this was just a cop-out answer the docs gave me to disguise a blood-clot disorder. As I never had actually side pain nor a surgery as my body took care of itself. I guess they said etopic cause they never saw a sac. and from my hcg levels... I dont know.
I am worried that I might be having an ectopic pregnancy since I had sharp stabbing pains and cramping only in the left side of my pelvis(where the ovaries are) and now I have cramping all over. I am on day 24 of my cycle so this morning hpt was negative. I am worried about an ecopic preg. because it happens more to people with endometriosis. please help, if anyone know if these signs are normal or not.
Cramping is normal. If you feel sharp stabbing pains on one side of your pelvic area you need to call your doctor. But you sound just fine to me. And it was too early to see anything via ultrasound. They generally see something between 5-6 weeks.
Last night, I started getting a sharp/stabbing feeling in my ovary (left) as I did a couple years go. I'm not at the point of curling up into the fetal position yet from pain, but its darn close sometimes. For about 2-3 days now, I keep getting a fluttering feeling in my uterus along with the cramping that goes into my back. I did test a few days ago with a dollar general one and I see alittle something, but nothing to really know. I haven't been out since to get a new test.
Ectopic pain won't stop or relent. It will get increasingly worse. Like I said, it could be ovulation pain, which can last a few days as the ovaries prepare to release the egg, then release the egg. Do you notice any discharge when you use the restroom? If you seen ANY vaginal discharge, then it is most likely ovulation. You wouldn't be able to know you are pregnant for two more weeks, so a test would read negative. Also, you used protection so your chances of being pregnant are slim to none.
I have had some sharp stabbing pains in my overy/uterious area, and I've started getting dizzy out of no where.
Usually there is a lot of pain and/or cramping associated with ectopic pregnancy, so it's unusual that you haven't felt much pain besides the stabbing vaginal ones. I definitely think you need to go in SOON to get another ultrasound and blood test.
Now almost 6 months later, I am having the same symptoms as I did in June only this month a few days before my period I had some very sharp stabbing pains in the area of my right ovary, they lasted only seconds but were very intense. I started my period on cycle day 29 had a shorter than normal 3 days. However, my breasts have remained very sore and swollen, and I seem to be having other pms symptoms. Currently on cycle day 11. My main question is can this be perimenopause ?
I have swollen lymph nodes above my collarbone that have been there since this started and recently I have developed a stabbing pain that even goes up into my shoulder area and a very deep itch. I have had a mammo. and an ultrasound and other than asymmetric heterogenously dense breast they saw nothing that would cause this. I am 33. My doctors are concerned about as they say this "problem area" but not sure what to do. So I was wondering if I am going to have problems down the road.
