The birth control pill I take is Tri-Sprintec (28 day pill) and it has been consistent with my menstrual cycle, but I'm not sure if that means it will be effective on pregnancies as well. I take my pill consistently at the same time, every day. So am I pregnant?!
t keep my skin under control without being on the pill, so I saw my gyn and she suggested I might feel better if I have a steady dose of hormones instead of the varying levels Tri Sprintec provided. She prescribed Sprintec, which I will be starting next week.

m eighteen and recently got my wisdom teeth taken out so I had to take anti-biotics for a week and the doctor told me if would interfere with my oral contraceptives, Sprintec (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets, 0.250 mg/0.035 mg). I got the antibiotics at the same time as I started my new pack of birth control and took them both for the first week of my cycle, and I used protection until the next week when my antibiotics ran out (because, of course, things happen).
I have been on tri sprintec for a few months now, always taking it at the same time everyday forgotten a day here or there but have always doubled up next day, taken the forgotten pill that morning.
How I've been taking my bc is I've taken the 3 weeks of blue pills, then when I've gotten to the white pills I wait until my period is over to start my next pack. Does that effect the effectiveness of the pill if I wait until after my period to start the next pack?

I was on Ortho Tri for nine years, no problems. After switching to sprintec, the pills no longer worked. I was having periods while on the active pills and my vulva became dry and irritated (like a knife stabbing it). I can't get the pain to go away. Anyone else with this problem?
Yesterday my dermatologist prescribed me 25mg Spironolactone 2xD and Tri-Sprintec BCP to help clear my skin up. I trust her judgement with placing me on both of those medications, but what worries me is that it may be too much of a hormone change for my body. For about three months I've had these red rings on my upper thigh. They are just an outline of a perfect circle and aren't raised, indented, or itch. I've been taking Celexa and sprintec for 7 months, but the rings started months after I began taking the medicine. They sometimes form on top of each other, or don't form complete circles too.
I've been on sprintec for 4 months and for the first 3 had no period. But now I've had my period for 3 weeks it slowed down for a day and I had sex. Then it came back. After two weeks I stopped with my pills and it has only gotten worse. I don't know what to do I'm weak and cranky all the time.

If you were my patient, I would advise you that your age alone protects you from pregnancy. That combined with the tubal ligation should approach 99.9% effectiveness. I wouldn't ever give 100%. If you are that concerned you could use condoms as well, but really don't need to .

I'm taking Sprintec birth control. Ive been on it for about 7 months now. On this pill pack, I missed the very first active pill on week 1, and took it the next morning. I usually start on a sunday, but I took the pill on that Monday. That Thursday, I was with my long distance boyfriend for the weekend and we had sex 4 times. He wore a condom every time, but I'm still scared. Could I be pregnant?
Sprintec? If you're on a birth control pill, you shouldn't be ovulating.
I've been on Sprintec birth control for 6 months and never had this problem till now.
I have always started my period 3 days after I started taking the white pill. Right now I'm on the last week of my blue pills and I've started cramping and spotting a little. I'm not sure if it's normal or not to start your period a week early while on birth control or not because it's never happened to me until now.
