Pain during bowel movements. Infertility, which may be the only sign that you have endometriosis. Between 20% and 40% of women who are infertile have endometriosis. 1 Abnormal bleeding. This can include: Blood in the urine or stool. Some vaginal bleeding before the start of the menstrual period (premenstrual spotting). Vaginal bleeding after intercourse. Endometrial growths (implants) that are large are not necessarily more painful.
Anytime between 2-10 days I am supposed to get my period, but I still havent got it, day 10 today and I have only been very faintly spotting for the last 2-3 days. Does anybody have a clue about how this drug works esp for someone who had depo provera shots in the past? Will this spotting eventually lead to periods in the next coulple of days? I need to get all my hormnone levels checked on day 3 and then get an HSG done... Please advice....
I have vaginal bleeding and spotting in between periods. Its been going on for over 3 years. My gyno doctor just keeps changing my birth control pills. I'm very frustrated at this point. Is this something that you experienced?
I sometimes get dark blood discharge in between periods it last a few days to a week and ranges from a little smear to sometimes a clump. It does not hurt and does not flow like my period. It's more like dark (almost black)discharge. I notice I get it a day or two after exercising and thought I might be aggravating something. This has been happening sporadically over 5 years.. I am 31 years old.
I have pretty severe endometriosis that I have had ablated 3x in the past year, my last surgery was 1/6/10 and started having symptoms again exactly one month later. My doctor (who is fantastic) advised that I would need a hysterectomy because the endo was so deep that they would not be able to ablate with a laparascopy and my husband & I should consider getting pregnant sooner than later if we wanted to have kids. So we started directly after my appt 2/8/10.
I had been hopeful I was pregnant but instead I am having a very heavy period. My periods are usually 24-25 days in between but this time it was 27. We have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now. I am also in my early 40s.
my periods are all wacky as well. I started out spotting using lasts about a week, then i will bleed as in having my period which lasts about a week, then tapers off. And it is not every 28 days, never really know when it is going to happen, mainly because they last so long, I am never sure at what point to count from.
I can talk myself out of it but it still keeps me up at night. This weird period was 7 days ling and I'm pretty sure it was way too heavy to be spotting. I mostly come to this sight for reassurance that I am being safe and have nothing to worry..
Sometimes the abnormal cells grow without causing major pain, which makes it even more important to tell your doctor about any spotting or bleeding in between periods. Conversely, for some women, even mild endometriosis can cause severe pain. It's not about the number of cells; it's about where they are and sometimes how bad the scarring is. WHAT CAUSES ENDOMETRIOSIS? Unfortunately, the causes of endometriosis are basically unknown.
Anway, have been on a particular brand of the contrceptive pill (combind) for 5 months. I am now having period pains and spotting. Bleeding between periods was a very regular thing for me and sometimes afer sex. I am so angry that it is taking so long to find a medication to stop my bleedng, which then leads to my back ache, related to my endometriosis. Question, Can anyone suggest a treatment, medication, or even herbal treatment to help me with the bleeding?
The last two months I have had spotting almost constantly between periods, it is almost like I have been having a 2 month menstrual cycle! This is strange because I have been on birth control for about 4 years now! I am 24 and my mom had a historectomy for her sevre endometriosis. I also have been feeling constantly nauseated the past two weeks. Does this sound like endometriosis could be causing all of this?
Hi, I came across this forum and found it quite useful, I am suffering with pain at the moment, burning sensation down right an left sides of pelvis near where my ovaries are, cramps, lower back ache, I'm tired all day everyday even if I get my 8 hours, spotting/bleeding between periods, headaches, nausea, dizziness.
I have a varierty of problems lately during my period since last year ranging from heavy bleeding to spotting in between periods, to shorter cycles (21-23 days from what used to be 30 days), to light yet painful periods. One of my OB-GYNs monitored my cycle duration last year and was ready to perform a D&C if I happen to have my next period within less than 21 days which never happened. I'm not sure whether your sister neeeds to see a doctor.
Anytime well i have had it since i was about 16/17 used to get pains during my periods and in between and i just used to think i suffered from period pain until i found a doctor that took me seriously she did an internal which was painful and then they refered me to a gyno straight away and they did a scan on my tummy to see if they could spot anything which they did, cysts i then had a internal again where they took swabs to test they said it looked like i had endo but they couldnt be sure until
please let me know if it is normal to maybe spot a few days before your period is due?? It is not heavy bleeding at all, and I probably would not notice it if I was not looking for it..(I worry about my health).....I have a great deal of stress lately in my life and wondered if stress could cause spotting and no period as well?? please let me know what you all think..thanks for your help on all...
Ok ladies...I need some advice!! I posted an entry on the 27th about my endometriosis pain. I had the depo shot about a month ago and the pain seemed to be alright for awhile. The past couple weeks, however, it has returned and gotten significantly worse. I called my doctor, and he told me I could try some medicine that basically puts me into early menopause for awhile (I'm 19 years old) but the nurse said the hot flashes and side effects would probably be pretty bad.
Bethany Hi Bethany, I was diagnosed with both endo and PCOS aged 27 after 13 years of terrible periods, weight gain, spots...you know the symptoms. Anyway i'm 35 now and have lived with both since then. I was put on Dianette to prevent my bad periods and spots etc and once my body had adjusted to it (i'm not very good on the pill) it worked like a charm for 6 years. However, i decided to come off of the pill early last year and have sonce developed the spots and weight gain symptoms again.
Just two days ago, I started getting a normal period (finally) - red, some clots and tissue, and finally enough to use 2 tampons over the course of that day and for the past two days I'm somewhere in between - its not heavy, its not spotting, its just light and consistent. But the entire time, whether it was spotting, heavy, or this in between, I've have incredibly uncomfortable and painful cramps radiating around my lower back, down through my thighs, and up into my abdomen.
I do have heavy bleeding around the first 2 days of my period w/small clots. Could i have endometriosis? Also, if you have endo, could you get heavy implantation bleeding? Just 1 more question lol, could you get heavy bleeding withdrawal bleeding when coming off the bc pill if you have endo?
My cycle is always regular although I have painful periods due to endometriosis. I took evening primrose oil 500 mg twice a day to increase fertility. I am not doing any protection as I've ttc for 10 years. I just had a failed ivf on july and now i'm wondering why is my periods delay and experience abdominal cramps on the left side. There is no spotting or sort of a vaginal discharge. I haven't done any test as I thought it was too early. I also experience tender breast and frequent urinating.
I have been experiencing unusual periods and spotting in between periods for the last year and a half. I am currently bleeding and have been doing so for over a month now from very heavy to just a little. I've seen my doc about this many times and he recently put my on birth control. (3 weeks ago) This last week I had extreme cramping which on a scale of 1-10 for pain it was a 10!! So now my doc took me off of birth control and is sending me to a specialist (gynecologist).
My periods are very heavy often have clots and are extremely painful. I spot every time between periods and sometimes randomly after sex as well. I have pelvic pain, lower abdominal pain, pain during intercoarse, often painful bowel movements, and constant lower back pain. When the pain is at its worst it tends to receed down my thighs. Last month the pain was so bad i went to the E.R and after multiple tests, finally a C.
Had a lap for endometriosis in between periods. I had some spotting after for a couple days. Doc said this was normal due to everything she had done. Iam now 12 days late and not sure if this is normal or not. I'm 40 days between cycles and was concerned.... any answers anyone can help me with?????
My symptoms included a slight dull recognizable stab pain in between the Taris and my latisimas. This became more pronounced over a 24 hour period. Next day, sharp pain up in around my neck and dull, but sometimes blinding headache. Cure: Buy yourself a 10 to 15 lb hand weight. Sit at your chair with good posture and let the weight hang down. Do as much as you can take. Then repetitive sets of direct lift up and down-rest.
Because women with polycystic ovaries rarely or never ovulate, their menstrual periods are generally irregular, often with many months between periods. When they do have a period, it may be quite heavy, since the lining of the uterus has continued to grow during the months since their last period. While polycystic ovaries do not themselves become cancerous, excessive growth of the uterine lining, or endometrium, is thought to increase the risk of cancer of the uterus (endometrial cancer).
changes in menstrual periods, including very light or skipped periods, slight bleeding between periods (spotting), nausea and vomiting, especially during the first month of use. This side effect usually goes away after the first few months of use, frequent or more severe headaches, weight gain, breast tenderness for the first few months of use, mood changes, decreased interest in sex... There is no cure for endometriosis.
