Avatar f tn So far as I know, Boehringer Ingelheim, has not applied for FDA approval for Faldaprevir. It's my understanding of last week's presentations at EASL that Boehringer Ingelheim reported that their Phase 3 trial results indicated 79% and 80% SVR12 rate with Faldaprevir combined with both Interferon and Ribavirin. This phase 3 trial was a double blind, placebo controlled phase 3 trial. So far ask I know, these results were reported with regard to treatment naive G1s.
Avatar n tn Ive searched the internet for a source for METAPROTERENOL SULFATE SOLUTION and Ive sent emails to 3M, Boehringer Ingelheim, DEY, Graceway Pharmaceuticals, MORTON GROVE, Novartis. Novex, Par Pharm, Roxio, Sandoz and Watson Labs with no results. Somebody still has to be manufacturing it somewhere but nobody will say who.
1751426 tn?1399007484 Since completing triple tx with a study drug from Boehringer Ingelheim and relapsing I have been attempting to get back to and maintain relative good health. I am a genotype 1a infected for 38 years so my symptoms are slowly getting worse and I also suffered from many severe tx side effects, the worst being joint/muscle pain, fatigue and brain fog. I try to remain active by walking the dog daily and going to the pool to float around. I take supplements & vitamins and try to eat healthy.
Avatar f tn I vaccinated 8 puppies with the new Solo Jec 5 Plus, manufactured by Boehringer-Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc., all of which developed parvo and died. Then it spread to 7 more puppies that were too young to vaccinate, and I lost them as well. My vet tested with the Idexx Snap Parvo test and it was positive for parvo. I had other puppies that were vaccinated with another vaccine, that are fine and did not develop parvo, so I know it was this particular vaccine.

Avatar f tn Hi everyone. Returning after a long absence- diagnosed in 2002, treated in 2003 with good response, but relapsed. MedHelp was a lifesaver for me with all the knowledge, wisdom, humor, experience and sympathy. So, been lurking for a few years- checking on new treatments and how well they'd work for us type 1s, when my doc called and told me about a new trial I might be able to participate in: BI 201335 plus peg INF and riba.
Avatar m tn Among the new investors are the venture arms of pharmaceutical industry leaders Boehringer Ingelheim and Shire, Japanese investment fund Mitsui Global Investment, US company ATMI and Belgian venture capital fund Sambrinvest. This followed GMP accreditation after successful transfer and scaling up of a production process developed at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) into a larger-scale pharmaceutical operation.
Avatar f tn s next generation..... if that is it. Vertex has 2 2nd generation drugs also, as well as one from Boehringer Ingelheim, if I recall. I still hope the phrase is used as an adjective and not a compound name. ; ) You still have to find out which it is. If it is any of them I think you'll be in Phase 1 which may not produce a cure but could produce a resistant virii if one doesn't SVR. Find out which compound, which company what phase and see if you can find trial info.
Avatar n tn None of the existed before Spiriva!!!! I found out that if you are on Spiriva 2 years - 5 years your chances of getting prostate cancer is 50%. If you are over 60 (I am 62) the chances are 90%.
Avatar n tn my husband has copd he uses adviar spiriva and combivent and it doesnt work what can it be thak you
Avatar n tn My questions are, How serious is this side effect, Should I continue using the Spiriva, Continue the Spiriva but stop the Symbicort, or Drop both and just take Combivent which I currently use as my emergency inhaler? Are there other alternative that I and my doc should consider.
Avatar n tn If you are taking Duoneb there is no point in taking Spiriva because Spiriva is related to the ipratropium that is a consitituant of Duoneb. Also Spiriva is extremely drying which may be why you are feeling so uncomfortable. To be using Duoneb five or six times a day you would have to be close to death. Obviously you aren't, so you can cut back without any problem. I have serious COPD and my use of Duoneb averages 3.5 vials daily. The big question is - how bad is your COPD?
Avatar n tn I have wet macular degeneration as well as COPD and my ophthamalogist theorizes that the weird "blisters" that are appearing at the site of the oozing veins may be caused by the steroid content of my asthma medication ( namely Spiriva). So he has asked me to change to something that doesn't contain any steroids. My pulmonologist has suggested I add floridil to my albuterol nebulizer.
Avatar f tn Yes! Spiriva is a long acting 24 hour broncho-dialator. So this means it will dialate your airway, make it bigger so air can pass thru it easier. Adviar: is a cortico-steriod. This means it is a anti-inflammatory type med that will take the inflammed part and calm it down. These are two very different medications. one holds it open and the other calms down the inflammed parts.
Avatar f tn after checking, this bladder problem is a side effect of Spiriva...I had used Spiriva for over a year and the infections/non-infections got more frequent until I had to go to the urologist...I was on Azo Standard most of the time. I alerted my pulmonologist as to my problem and he took me off the Spiriva. Since being off the Spiriva, my breathing has gotten worse....my Dr said there was no replacement for Spiriva...I'm writing to find out what others might know.
Avatar f tn I'll try to be brief. My dr. ordered a pft last week (following three ct scans over 16 months). I had been using Spiriva for three years. My question is how long should I have been off the Spiriva for the test to show accurate results? Shouldn't I have had the test before being given Spiriva? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn COPD Fev 45-50% , have been on Flovent,/Spiriva/ Proair 10 years and am sensitive to medications. I dont smoke. Have had increasingly reactive airways for 3 years, had first Dxed exacerbation last fall triggered by woodsmoke. No congestion and did not take antibiotics. Pulmo said airways 'sounded just like asthma' but do not have that Dx. Airways felt raspy, swollen, inflamed. Have slowly recovered on a higher dose of Flovent.
Avatar f tn m on Advair or oral steroids. So I try to avoid them if at all possible. I am currently using Spiriva HandiHaler which I believe is not suppose to have any steroids but I keep getting Thrush in my mouth ! It is a constant problem even just using the Duoneb, and especially if I have to take any antibiotics. I'm, constantly having to take Fluconazole tablets after a round of antibiotics for candidiasis under my breasts and in my mouth.
