speech problems cluttering

Everyone says my speech sounds normal but some people ask me to repeat bc I’m mumbling and cluttering words. Also i did see speech pathologist in April who said i might have slight fluency issue but nothing else. Please advise thoughts if i can feel good that it’s not bulbar als like test and doc says.

Then there is the mechanical part of communicating our language and that is speech. Problems with speech can include just trying to get the words out, pronouncing the words, the tonal quality of our speech, using emphasis and inflection. Problems with speech can be from weakness or spasticity of the muscles of our mouths, throats and vocal cords. Or it can be with the way our brain tries to direct the speech.

Has anyone had problems communicating? I have problems with finding the right word to use. Sometimes I use I will get so frustrated. My family and friends say that I repeat myself a lot. I do know this, especially when I am excited, happy or upset. I completely lose my train of thought. I used to be able to speak in public, and train people. This has been difficult for me. Am I alone? I have battled through much worse demons than this, but I don't want to give up now.

I've done as much digging as possible and the various images that compare Herpes, warts, Molluscum contagiosum etc are pretty inconclusive. Nothing seems to be specifically flesh-colored, and others red. I read a post about someone having vigorous, sweaty sex and was hoping whatever the bumps I have are Molluscum contagiosum, but can't be sure. I have several bumps that appeared very soon after sex.

Years and years of impulse buying, decisions what to do with everything , I really must Keep it Simple and Easy Does It. Any tips about de-cluttering also welcomed.

I had this test 3 yrs ago and it showed food getting stuck on right side so went to speech therapy learned some tricks. Things have changed this time for the worse the test showed that food is getting stuck in my esophagus and wont move even after large quantities of fluid. I only eat 1 meal a day because after the 1st few bites and havibg it stuck there I lose my appetite. I go to speech nxt week and see what they can do for me.

t breathe all the time even though the spirometer tests were normal and I was scared about it. Have you seen a speech therapist? It made a world of a difference for me. What happened is, and I know this sounds crazy, but your body has probably forgotten how to breathe. Since anxiety makes people have bad breathing patterns, even when you're not anxious, you can feel out of breath. I laughed when I was told to go to a speech therapist but I was oh so wrong.

My 4 year old granddaughter has obvious speech problems. It is very hard to understand her. Her speech patterns have also changed. She used to call her mother "Mama-ee" and now she calls her "Mahee". She cannot pronounce her own name, Meaghan. I want my daughter to get her a hearing test and she says she does not think she has a hearing problem.

There are three parts of speech--- articulation (making the sounds) is one we all think of with speech. but there is also receptive speech (the ability to take in and organize what is said to you so that you can understand it) and expresssive (the ability to formulate the thoughts you want to express, to organize those thoughts into words to speak). Motor planning has a huge impact on these speech componants.

Not communicating very much has fed my speech problems and really hurt my social skills and my self-esteem, so I've decided to finally try to do something about it so I can feel comfortable making conversation with people. After listening to recordings of my speech and watching myself speak on video and in a mirror, I definitely noticed that I don't speak with very good articulation.

It is harder walking at the end of each day. Today wasn't a good one. The buzzing sensation started when walking this morning & I had to ask someone else to take workers around to show service locations! I was so embarrassed & then one lady had the nerve to ask me if I would qualify for disability! Sheeps wool!!! I was so aggravated! My first MRI showed lesions in the gray matter in 2005. The person reading it said it indicated MS to them. Went to neuro & he said migraines.

m trying to ask is- a)in the case of older kids with very strong personalities, what do you suggest? b) I want to be clear on his speech delay. My son has scattered skills including with speech. He knows how to say "I have to pee pee" or "I have to poopie" so the speech isnt an issue in this case, people potty train nonverbal kids. I am certain I can get him to pee in the potty on a schedule but I dont know how to get him to tell me he has to go.

W/PHYSICAL THERAPY AND AT HOME EXERCISE HE WAS DISCHARGED W/FULL ROM. HE MET ALL OF THE MILESTONES EXCEPT SPEECH, AT 18MONTH HE STARTED W/HI & BYE . MY CONCERN NOT ONLY LYES W/SPEECH BUT I DONT BELIEVE HE UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING I SAY TO HIM. HE BABBLES HIS OWN WORDS LIKE HE REALLY HAS ALOT TO SAY BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT HE IS SAYING. I HAD A HEARING TEST (BAER) TO SEE IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND IT WAS NORMAL. I TOOK TO A DEVELOPMENTAL PED. DOC AT 18 MONTHS AND HE DID NOT SUSPECT ANY AUTISM.

s not really bad at this point. I have to go to speech therapy to learn tips, exercises to strengthen muscles in throat, etc. Is this common with relapsing remitting MS? It's been hinted at that I've moved onto secondary progressive. Does anyone else have swallowing problems?

This test checks your ability to decode (ability to quickly and accurately process speech), Tolerance fading memory (ability to understand speech in noise and short term memory), Integration (ability to pull together auditory information), and organization (organize and sequencing of auditor information). Basically they present 4 words that you have to repeat back, but they say other words in the opposite ear at the same time. Again I had horrible test results.

Extreme tiredness, high fever, hypoglycemia or low blood sugar, high blood sugar, kidney problems causing brain fog, liver problems causing brain fog, low electrolytes, very high blood pressure, alcohol or drug intoxication, etc can all cause slurred speech. Please do not ignore this and consult a doctor ASAP or maybe go to the ER. MRI of the brain, dental examination, nerve conduction studies, kidney and liver function tests etc will be required.

Thanks for input. Went to see a speech therapist the other day and confirmed that she is having difficulty swallowing. Learned some new techniques to help with this, but she will certainly need therapy.

I do not have Sjogrens, Lupus or any of those auto-immune diseases according to my Rheumy. I would have to say the swallowing problems came first but now my speech is being effected dry mouth or not. I do this most everyday at some point or another. This started this year, it is my fairly newest symptom.

My son is 8 years old. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and has a few other problems like fine motor skills. About a year ago he started repeating his speech. Whatever he says, he repeats to himself under his breath. It's a constant behaviour pattern. It doesn't seem to be a problem but his friends have noticed it and comment on it.
