HELLO:) I am getting ready to go have a mammogram and an ultra sound done on the lump under my arm. It's costing me $400.00 for this since I have no insurance and don't have the opportunity to get it again until January 2011. I know that having a biopsy is the next step. I understand there are 2 or 3 different procedures. My question is... Can someone tell me about how much I can expect to pay for a biopsy. I'm sure the cost varies from state to state.

Anyone else weigh themselves at home and get a completely different number when you step on the scale at the doctors office.. Ahh it bothers me. The pink TOTALLY blanched with pressure and the scale may very well have been related to the fact that I frequently picked at it to get to an ingrown hair that often appeared under the skin. Woo hoo. I made it. My temperature was just where it was supposed to be. However, the surgeon ended up taking a LOT more out than he initially thought he was going to and the surgery took twice as long so my poor husband and 24 year old daughter were freaking out.
