Avatar n tn My 16 year old daughter had a mole removed from her back, the pathology report came back as Nevoceullular Nevus, Compound. The biopsy shows a mole with features of compound nevus with moderate severe atypia, but no malignancy was present. There is a family history of skin cancer, my husbands brother, so I am concerned as to what the biopsy means? Of course the letter came on Friday and the dermatolgy office was closed. Many Thanks!
1528307 tn?1336000554 I would still be sending a letter with a copy of the cancer registry letter and tell them how upset this caused you to be when you found you did not in fact have cancer. I am sure the hospital will in some way either change the way they do things or at least give you a free McDonald's voucher ( I say that in a joking way, of course!) Now as for YOUR emotional state; YES, you are going to feel that niggling "What if they're right?" doubt.
Avatar m tn m saying here is true, take a look at the warning letter the FDA sent to Diamond Food, Inc. back in February concerning the health claims the company had been making about its walnuts. Avatar m tn I am a 19-year-old girl who has been experiencing trouble when finding words. It started 4 years ago, sometimes I could not remember the name of a specific word or I would remember the first letter of the world but not the entire word. I didn't really think much of it as it was not that frequent. But as of lately, it has been getting worse. For example, the other day, I could not remember the word "dishwasher" and I had to describe it instead.
5549102 tn?1376522673 Almost 22 months old he's started saying words I understand him, but he doesn't really say them correctly. Should I worry. When he says drink he pronounces it ju. Instead of bath he says bah with the sign language. He isn't deaf and he passed his hearing test. Should we put him in speech therapy or wait it out until he's older and starting to form sentences? He does pronounce some words very well like cat dog mawmaw pawpaw daddy. Momma if you can get him to say it bye.

Avatar n tn If your wife has choking, coughing and ankle swelling due to fluid retention, she is probably having some right side heart pathology and maybe a left side heart pathology causing back pressure on lungs. It would be a heart attack, heart failure, myopathy or side effects of hypertension. She could also be having an advanced COPD. Your wife needs urgent medical attention. Please rush to an ER. Take care!
Avatar n tn She speaks fluent gibberish, talks to invisible friends and pets, plays with her toys, and when other children are around she attempts regular speech. Should we be worried, she seems frustrated by her lack of ability to communicate with us.
Avatar m tn can you ask the surgeon who did the open heart surgery to write a letter to the insurance company?? many times if they have the written letter, they may cover the surgery/scar revision. but I wouldn't worry too much about the scar, no one really cares about it. Avatar m tn On 4/25/19 I had a cataract removed from my right eye with laser. Pre surgery that eye was 20/200. They replaced the lens with a ReStore Multifocal Toric IOL. My eyes saw perfectly within a couple of hours after surgery. On my follow-up visit the next day my right eye was 20/20. I then had the left eye which pre surgery was 20/30 with mild astigmatism. They did the same procedure and the same lens as the right eye.

161647 tn?1280608163 Not using anything yet on my scar. I was so pleasantly surprised to see that it looks so good. As I wrote on KelDC's post, surgeon's nurse recommended silicone gel. She also told me to cover it up in the summer because the sun will darken the scar.
Avatar n tn I have Aetna and my 'indeterminate' pathology sample has been sent away for gene testing; I have Aetna, and though their payer policy states it is covered if criteria is met, I'm looking for some idea of how often they pay/don't pay and what the cost ended up being when they did not. Thanks!

My fear is the fact that radiation can cause cancer.....is this treatment benifitial or detrimental., especially in light that this thing is in the duct and therefore teeny?
