Avatar f tn I have had jaw pain for many days, only on one side, now i have ear and throat pain on the same side, and my jaw hurts so bad, like I had been punched (or so I assume) really har din the jaw. It hurts to eat, and I have pain in my ear and a sore throat.....can anyone give me advise? Bad sinuses? Time to go the Dr?
Avatar m tn Sinus allergies also cause neck muscle tension and pain that spreads to the scalp, causes lymph nodes to swell and put pressure on nerves that cause ear and jaw pain. Allergies can trigger pain in the face, ear, neck, head/scalp and jaw/tmjd, as well as put pressure on the perotid glands and salivary glands. I've had some triggered by using prednisone to help treat sinus and lung infections.

Avatar n tn Inside of my right tounge was sore , This morning i woke up my whole right side of my neck is sollowen and theres pain when i touch it on my neck where the glands and my jaw bone below my ear is sore . Help !?
Avatar n tn Woke up the next morning and my sore throat was completely gone but could barely talk and my my jaw was sore and bruised. I still have severe larangitis four days later. I can only assume that I was intubated but no one told me I had been and might have some discomfort for a few days. Is this normal to intubate and not inform the patient?
Avatar n tn I have severe throat pain on left side mainly underneath jaw and at bottom of throat. Seems to be set off by acidic foods, or swallowing bulky rough items. I have never had a sore throat like this before -- I have no other symptoms no cold, no runny nose, no cough etc. It has not gotten any better after a kind of 2 day onset 6 days ago. Yawning really hurts severely.
3123268 tn?1342176937 This eventually started hurting so bad the pain traveled to my ear, and then up to my temple and gave me a slight headache. Later that night it randomly appeared in the bottom right of my throat. There's a completely distinguishable "pain-free" zone between the two sore spots now. The spots hurt BAD though. Bad enough to wake me up constantly. The one on the lower right side definitely hurts worse, and it's definitely more in my throat than in my mouth like the first one.
13530588 tn?1439495715 yes ok thanks ,,,I did not want to think it was tmj because I have no problem chewing ,,,I get achy in the area of the jaw joint at times due to the gland being sore ,, but not clicking or locking happens ,, soreness under ear ,, when it it first occurred it felt like I had a bruise on side of face at jaw joint to my ear up to around my temple ,, seemed more like an infection because in middle of sleep I kept waking from throat irritation like something was draining from my ear to my throat from
Avatar n tn It sounds like an ear infection to me. Your ears are connected to your nose and throat, so it's likely your jaw pain can be radiated pain from those areas. But I would definitely go and speak with a doctor about it, because letting an ear infection run without antibiotics, if it's not clearing up on its own, can be detrimental to your hearing.
Avatar n tn Since October, I have had inner ear pain, neck and jaw pain, and sometimes shoulders and facial pain as well. I also get headaches and sore spots on my head at times.
Avatar n tn Today I saw my doctor who also could see no obvious signs of infection even though my ear and throat now hurt. He said something about neuralgia and to go and see him on Monday if things don’t improve. Any idea as to what’s going on would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn ll stop making the crackling sound for a little bit when pressed again. Also getting pretty sharp pain by the ear and jaw area when yawning recently. If I press it torward my throat a bit, it'll hurt my throat. The doctors tell me it's mostly from smoking and stress. I also have a bit harder time swallowing saliva on that side, which the unaffected side I can feel the right side perfectly. Ever since this has been an issue , I have had a pretty sore neck as well.
387767 tn?1345872027 Ear pain, Jaw pain and Headaches can be due to TMJ ( Tempromandibular Joint Dysfunction). TMJ is common in patients with Fibromyalgia. Do you grind /clench your teeth at night? Do you mostly get this pain after waking up from sleep? Then most likely it's TMJ. Also, If your dentist mentions that you have some teeth-wear ( Attrition), then you are most likely grinding/clenching your teeth at night. Though I don't know what the reason could be for your throat closing up...
Avatar f tn I had a sore throat and ear pain whenever I had major dental procedures like, root canal, extraction or surgery! My best friend, who was a dental assistant, told me it is pretty normal as we opened our mouth to our max for a period of time. Therefore our jaw and neck muscle is pretty strained. Adding on, if you have ulcers due to dental procedure, it is gonna be worse. I'm on my day 3 of post root canal treatment and I am still having sore throat and ear ache is well. It is normal guys!!
Avatar f tn Hello and hope you are doing well. The ear pain could be due to the throat infection. There are tubes called 'Eustachian tubes' which connect the middle ear to the throat, this balances the air pressure in the ears. This tube can get blocked due to infections of the throat, which can give lead to a feeling of fullness in the ears. This can also result in infection of the ears.
Avatar n tn For the past 3 weeks, I have had pain when chewing or biting down in my right ear and in that part of my jaw just below the temple. My dentist and orthodontist have said my jaw is disaligned in the past (I look normal though), but I have never had pain. My back molars do not touch when I bite, and my front teeth bite right together with no overbite at all. However, the pain has just now come and seems worse when I sleep on my face funny. Sometimes it is so bad that it is difficult to eat.
Avatar n tn IN ADDITION TO THE JAW PAIN, I WAS HAVING EAR PAIN, AND THE GUM AREA (WHERE THE TOOTH WAS) WAS VERY SORE. THE ORAL SURGEON REFERRED ME TO A GUM SPECIALIST WHO SAID MY GUM LOOKED OK, BUT I MIGHT NEED AN INPLANT. THE EAR PAIN CONTINUED, SO I WAS SENT TO AN ENT DOCTOR WHO SAID MY EAR LOOKED FINE. MY ORAL SURGEON SENT ME BACK TO THE INFECTIOUS DISEASE DOCTOR WHO DID BLOOD WORK TO MAKE SURE THE BONE INFECTION HAD NOT RETURNED (IT HAD NOT).
Avatar n tn Gums looked fine and no dry socket the dr thought dentist stiched up hole with no way for abcess to drain so gave me more vicodin and amoxicillian. Pain has been and still is in face around jaw and nose then radiates to right ear and head. My ear feels like it has warm liquid in it sometimes. Pain has lessened in last 36 hours but if I even try to eat anything (soft foods) it starts to come back right away. Pain lessens but never goes away.
Avatar f tn Okay thanx symptoms is sore throat maybe more than a weak pain in 1 ear feeling if there is fluids in my ears jaw hurts excessive silava in my mouth and throat feeling whant to clear my throut whole time with white sometimes yelow phlegm and bitting whole time on my teath
Avatar n tn had a stabing pain behind left ear, it was between my ear and jaw bone, recently had two teeth pulled near the front. it hurt when i open my mouth and the ice cream made it hurt. I also have a sinus infection and sore throat.
5887486 tn?1376104591 If you develop any additional symptoms like sore throat or ear pain or fever, consult your primary care physician for proper clinical assessment. In the meantime for pain relief you can use OTC Tylenol (acetaminophen). Regards.
Avatar f tn Pain below ear/in jaw began about 6 months ago. Tongue pain is recent, ear pain and sinus pain/congestion have increased from allergies but were present prior to allergen exposure. Lymph nodes in neck are perpetually swollen but worse in the last couple months (again, possibly allergies?). Other relevant/potentially relevant info: have reflux for which I am on Prilosec.
Avatar m tn I first thought it might be sinus drainage, but the pain is still with me (Today is Dec. 10). Recently (last few days) I have had pain in my jaw muscles, but throat pain had subsided. No fever (slightly elevated), rash, or diarrhea ever within the past two weeks. I have been getting single 'hive' on various parts of my body though, with a white coated tongue as well as chills in the days and night sweats.
