If I take a deep breath, cough, or burp it hurts the tendons(?) on the right side of my neck, the pain seems to be increasing with time, and the right side of my neck is starting to feel sore and somewhat swollen, although that might be because I keep messing with it since it is making me nervous.
A couple nights ago I was sitting in an uncomfortable position which required my neck to be a little sore. When I woke up this morning I had an extreme pain on the right side of my neck. I can feel it when my neck is not moving and in a straight position but when I move my head it hurts and if I move it looking slightly up/down it hurts worst. The pain has died down a little since I woke up but it is still bad.
I have stopped climbing now for a weeks in hopes I would go back and be fine, but have noticed that even simple things like lifting something heavy will make them a little sore again. I am so athletic and it has been killing me not being able to climb... I really want to get back out there. I thought maybe because I dont get much calcium or something like that could have effected it some what, so I got some supplemental vitamins from GNC that is the daily dose of calcium.
Another thing that started on Monday at about 4pm was that he lost up and down motion in his right wrist and right foot. He said the tendons felt really sore and it was impossible to move. We are not sure if this is related. He went to the emergency department on Monday evening, and they conducted a blood test and x-rays. The blood test showed no infection (he had no fever anyway). Previously, he was tested for rheumatoid arthritis and the results came back negative.

I've had sore shoulder muscles for the past couple of weeks, and I have a job where I do a lot of computer work, so I am sitting quite a bit.

Ever since 4 days ago, my left shoulder blade, shoulder and left side of the neck was feeling sore. I also noticed that in the lower front part of my neck where the soft V shape spot is, the right side of the little V shape bone corner has been swollen. It hurts when i move my left arm and when i touch it. Today the pain from my left shoulder blade, neck and shoulder, has gone away and feel much better. But the swollen collar bone edge is still there, and only hurts when i touch it.
It is accompanied with a mild sore throat and slightly swollen tonsils. Before any pain began I had about 3 weeks of a mild cough, that is almost nonexistent now. The symptoms are: * Painful and some swelling joints, both sides of the body: neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, some finger, hips, knees, ankles and big toes * Morning pain, sometimes cannot raise one or both arms to brush hair, etc.

Basically, for about 24 - 48 hours, an area of skin (generally from the size of a softball to basketball) will become extremely tender and sore to the touch ... almost as if it were bruised significantly. It is so tender that clothes brushing against it is painful. The problem is, there is no visual evidence of it. I went to the doctor and felt as though he was insinuating that I was making up the symptoms because he could not see anything. Very, very frustrating.
Now I have a couple of lumps on the left side of my neck where the tendons that go down your shoulders are. I feel like I'm a mess and I can't seek medical help due to no insurance and no money. Please help.
felt fine, that evening my neck on the left side started getting sore, at first I thought I pulled a muscle, next day extreme pain on left side carotid area, felt like I had a massive swolen gland, but none there. I went to a NP she thought pulled muscle, I mentioned maybe parathyroid? so she did blood work, nothing there but pain got worse, so today I went back and a different NP along with a Dr. They examined me and diagnosed as Arteritis. She is sending me for a neck ultrasound this week..
I have been experiencing neck pain for the last 2 years now. I have had an MRI (without dye), CT Scan of neck and chest all of which did not show anything. When I lay down to sleep and lift my head up a little bit and turn my head left and right you can hear grinding/grit noises. When I turn my head you can feel, one of tendons sliding over top of another one. I assume that is what that is? Even when I sit up you can hear little tiny noises when I move my head slighty.
Since then I am having trouble with pain in the neck and shoulder area just below the fusion area. I wake in the morning with a headache then turns to pain in lower neck and shoulders. I have talked to the neurosurgeon who did the surgery and he shrugged his shoulders and said I have no idea and sent me back to my neurologist. He gave me a series of injections in both shoulders and the pain stopped for a couple days but then came right back.
I tend to get strong tension headaches, myself, and these are often accompanied by soreness in my neck- it's very possible to actually get some swelling and inflammation around the tendons in your neck and around the periphery of the trapezius muscle where it joins the bone of your skull- the occipital bone. So long as there's no physical issues with your spine and bone structure, the potential for relief through pain management and anxiety management is very good.
bursitis and impingement cause alot of discomfort and pain and tends to affect all the muscles and tendons around rotater cuff and shoulder blades arm , and neck! and yes it can be frustrating and depressing cause it just wont go away but it does it just takes time and rest and lots of physio etc.

I'm 20 years of age and my body is killing me. I also have toothaches, neck pains and muscle pain everywhere. I was wondering what could that be from, I recently went to the emergency room, the doctor perscribed anxiety, but this feeling is worse than that, i'm very fatigue can someone give suggestions please. I' ve been taking the medicine perscribed and it doesn't work at all.
Have exact same symptoms. Started about a year and a half ago and has gotten progressively worse. neck very stiff and sore, especially when turned to either side. Pain in shoulder left shoulder joint radiating down upper arm, less on right side. Have been going to chiropractor, taking prescription pain meds. nothing is working. If anyone finds something that works, please post.

When i get it massaged, my dizziness gets worse. When no one touches it, it goes alright. The thing which cures this, is bowen therapy- look it up.
They're moving downward towards my neck and no longer in my earlobes. So I'm curious that why they can move from one place to another? Is that Ganglion Cyst? But isn't Ganglion cyst only appear on joints and tendons?
Today is Friday and they are still a bit sore so I'm wondering what the cause might be. They are mostly sore along the tendons on the front of the underarm and I can feel the soreness move down from the underarm and towards the ribs and chest. I definitely felt a bit sore this morning on one side when I lifted a heavy box again. I work for UPS and am always lifting boxes. I generally only feel the soreness when picking something up, or putting my weight on the arms.
My collar bone also has a small one. Now my arm pits are a little sore but it really just feels like the tendons are sore... I went to two doctors and both said they didn't feel anything on the armpits... one said it may be a tendon cyst. I went to the clinic ten days after exposure and obviously tested neg fro the thirty min.
i have numbness in the back of my head, which i think is a pinched nerve, i have 3 hernated disks in my neck. sore throat has been over last 4 weeks. trying not to have a panic attack is hard.
Currently I have one that I guess could be described as flexing and the tendons in my neck and I have done it to the point where my jaw is stiff and sore and my head hurts. I've also found that I have been gritting my teeth/clamping my jaw shut a lot. Is there medication or therapy for something like this? How do you get diagnosed? It's driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
They have to move/cut a lot of muscles, tendons, etc. to remove the thyroid and those structures can be sore. I really felt it when I had to look over my shoulder (backing a car up), sneezing, or lifting my head off the pillow. It took a few months for me but everything is 100% normal now. Hope that your recovery goes as well. Don't forget to put moisturizer (aloe vera, vitamin E, etc.
it hurts below the incision and I think it is bcz A) the swelling has gone down and B) I am using the arm alot more and, thus, things pull along the internal stitches and/or we use it diffrently (the muscles/tendons) to accommodate and then feel pretty sore. But in the world of thyroids I'm not really sure except I STILL get sore in my side/back neck area as those muscles still feel strained at times 5+ mos later but nothing inside to feel or note to mention. I'd ask the Dr.
Rapid test for hiv was negative, all stds(syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, i thought they were testing more but thats all they gave me over the phone) came back negative. 7/21/11 6 week and 1 day after- still have a sore back, and my neck glands are VERY tender under my ear ( i was told they weren't swollen about a month ago) tendons above my armpit on my right arm are tender as well. Once a day ill have a pain shoot up my leg.
