Sore neck lymphoma

Common Questions and Answers about Sore neck lymphoma

sore

Avatar m tn I have had sore, swollen glands in my neck for over 3 weeks. My Dr. agreed they were swollen but ruled out lymphoma as I had had some blood tests but they were done before I had these symptoms. I don't feel it would be lymphoma, but I thought maybe some kind of virus as I am running a low grade fever from 99.3 to 100.3. My "normal" is usually 97. I was taking an antibiotic (Bactrim) for an abscess I had on my buttock caused by a bee sting probably. Another Dr.
Avatar n tn What other symptoms do you have? What size is it? How long has it been there? Have you been sick or sore throat?
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm 24, male, non smoker, don't drink much. 10 weeks ago, I came down with a bout of tonsillitis, which I had all the usual symptoms for. I was prescribed antibiotics, and although they got rid of the whiteness on the tonsils, I noticed about five days into the course that my throat was beginning to feel sore again on the right side. The course of antibiotics finished, and I began to get neck pain on the same side.
Avatar f tn Well since i was 16 ive had mono twice, i am 22 years old and two years ago it reactivated ebv. Now since been awfully tired, lymphnodes in goin neck under arm back of neck swell and I can feel them suffer from headaches aboyt twice a week neasious , and feverish at times, as well and gagy and loss of apitite . I loss weigh really easy, my lymphocyte count has been high for two years about 3.6-5 as well and lymphocytosis. Speacialist ordering a biopsy crp levels at 17.4.
Avatar m tn kate61, thank you for taking the time to respond. My symptoms seem somewhat nebulous, kind of off and on. i personally can't feel any lumps, just pain where lymph nodes are. My CBC was pretty much normal and I don't really have the money to spend on many more expensive tests (ultrasounds, CT scans). I've decided to get my teeth fixed first (13 cavities) to see if the symptoms resolve.
Avatar m tn There is a family history of cancer (Grandmother had breast and colorectal and my mother had ovarian and colorectal), but I have had no cause for concern up until about 6 months ago. I got my first ever cold sore and one submental lymph node and my submandibular lymph node blew up. Now the submandibular lymph node shrunk back down, but the submental one did not. I was concerned with lymphoma because lumps just dont show up out of no where.
Avatar m tn Hello. I'm becoming increasingly worried about swollen glands in my neck. The swelling is located on either side of my neck, roughly half an inch below the mastoid process (these might be the upper cervical lymph nodes but I'm not sure). They can't be seen, but when I feel my neck they feel hard. I've had them now for about three weeks. My only other symptoms: a slight sore throat that comes and goes, and a very infrequent cough.
Avatar n tn I was wondering about the signs of lymphoma. Back in 2009 I had a a CT scan as a follow up on kidney stones. It showed, in addition to still having the kidney stones, I had an enlarged spleen. I recently found some lumps on the right side of my neck. Probably at least 3, possibly more. Should I be concerned about it being lymphoma? I am a 32 year old female.
Avatar m tn Recently I have had a cold and seem to have enlarged lymph nodes in my neck area. I understand that having a cold can create enlarged lymph nodes by the ones I have are completely painless and are not tender at all. Also, I seem to have had these appear towards the end of my cold when it has started to clear up slightly (just have a bit of a cough left over). I have also read that painless lymph nodes have been linked to HIV and Lymphoma.
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 24 yo, normally healthy male, non smoker, not a big drinker. Over five weeks ago, I came down with what I think was (and what was diagnosed as) tonsillitis. I was given antibiotics. Had usual symptoms of very sore throat, white covered tonsils, fatigue, mild fever/chills for a day or two.
448351 tn?1207789907 I agree with the above comments from Copy and dointime as it can cause enlarged lymph nodes. My lymph nodes in my neck were swollen and sore a few times. Get it checked. BTW, I love your Buckwheat photo! It gave me a good laugh.
Avatar m tn Sometimes they feel extremely sore when I press on them and that feeling of soreness and pulsation can radiate out to my arms, but then other times it feels just a little sore or none at all, or only one side might be sore like it is right now. Same with my collarbone, shoulders, and back of neck area.

Avatar m tn From 3 months ago i started having a swollen lymph node in my neck. The swollen lymph node was also accompanied by extreme fatigue, sore throat and a low grade fever. i was put on antibiotics which did help the symptoms to go away but it never healed the swollen lymph node. From the very same time i started having a general discomfort feeling in my inner tights and under my scrotum. Its not really painful its just feels the skin has become sensitive.
Avatar f tn My legs get sore sometimes too. My lymph nodes in my neck hurt on and off still. Im not sure if its deep or on the surfuce im not sure how to determain that. Yes the pain in my arm is on the same side where they were going to take the lymph node sample from and now it has gone to the other arm. Its not as bad on my other arm though but its getting there and the pain makes me not want to use my arm at all because the more i use it the more it hurts.
Avatar f tn It could be a lipoma, it could be a sebaceous cyst, it could be indolent lymphoma.
Avatar m tn I suspect a low grade non-hodgkin lymphoma but i am just 13 and developing a low-grade lymphoma at 13 is very very rare,still...anyone who can help...I have one cervical swollen lymph node in right side..i can feel another one, which is not swollen at the left side...
Avatar f tn It doesnt hurt maybe on occasion and i dont believe it has grown. recently also noticed small lumps on both sides of my neck.. moveable and not sore.. I dont really want to go to the docs because i already am getting a ct scan done on my head to check for anything do to possible migraines! I dont want to continue to run to the docs and rack up the bills.. COULD THIS BE SOMETHING LIKE LYMPHOMA? OR AM I OVER REACTING OR MAYBE A CYST?
1721846 tn?1309390629 Some of your symptoms such as swollen glands, fever, weight loss and fatigue could be associated with lymphoma, but the other symptoms such as sore throat, shortness of breath and dizziness doesn't quite fit the diagnosis in my opinion. The only sure way of knowing if it's lymphoma is to do a biopsy of one of your swollen nodes. Blood tests can be normal even if you do have lymphoma (which is what happened to me) because it had not spread past my lymphatics and into my bloodstream.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am experiencing the same and am very worried about being misdiagnosed with mono for lymphoma. I have had a lymph node in my neck for over a year now and it has definitely gotten bigger since I first noticed it. I recently (in the past two months) have been experiencing occasional night sweats, fatigue, weight loss, loss in appetite, and random small fevers.
Avatar m tn I am worried about a single palpable lymph node in my neck. It came during a cold/sore throat almost four weeks ago. The cold has subsequently finished but I am left with a swollen node on the right side of my neck just under my jaw line. The back of my neck has also been stiff which may indicate that there are raised nodes there also.. I don't have any noticeable nodes anywhere else on my body.
Avatar f tn It was very tender, hard, painful to sleep on, painful to turn neck and sore. Four days went by with same symptoms, but the last two days it shrunk and now it is the size of a pea with no pain of any kind. Should I be worried/see a doctor? I am concerned because I don't think there are any lymph nodes back there or anything that should swell for a good reason. Also concerned because of the nature of how instantaneous it came up one morning. Please help, thank you for your time and reading!
Avatar m tn That is somewhat painful. Are sore throats common with lymphoma issues? I wonder if whatever is causing the sore throat is also causing the swollen lymph nodes, or whatever is causing the swollen lymph nodes is also causing the sore throat (chicken or the egg...). Thanks for your response.
Avatar n tn but i thought the scan, hat came back normal, would say if i had lyphoma, now that i have pain with alcohol,is it possible it could be lymphoma(HODGKINS)Please reply,as i have had this pain in neck, without drinking alcohol aswell, and want to get sorted.Dr said maybe a biopsy is the next step? help. thanks, lynda.
Avatar n tn I have slightly swollen glands and sore (nurofen) every four to six hours. Don't feel like I have infection anywhere should I go to doctor. Don't want to waste their time. Only had this for three days.
Avatar f tn My husband did not have any of the typical lymphoma symptoms (except palpable masses in his cervical -neck- lymph nodes) and yet was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Your husbands SUVs are not at the highest end of the spectrum (some lymphomas have SUV of up to 50 or 60) but it is no indication of lymphoma or whether it is indolent (not that aggressive) or aggressive. Only a biopsy will tell you these things.
Avatar n tn 5 Degrees Celcius (taken orally). Apart from that, I have one swollen lymph node in my neck, above my right collarbone and a heavy feeling in my head with occasional headaches. No sore throat No fever No night sweats No rash No Diarrhea No loss of appetite Could this be HIV or lymphoma?
