I am 41 years old in good health besides being overweight. For the past 4 or 5 days I have been having pain from my chin down thru my colar bone..and sometimes down my arm a little. It comes and goes. And the pain is very minor. I can't tell if it's just neck or what..My neck is sore if I try to bend it.. I also occasionally feel some pain in my chest on the left side..it's very minor also.. Also, I sit at a computer all day for work..so I sometimes get a stiff neck fromt hat...
I am a 47 year old female, family history of heart attack. I have been on bp meds for 5 years. I have not been feeling well for a few months. My BP fluctuates - it is better after taking my bp med Lysoprine. Last night I had a spell and my legs were shaky, clammy, sweaty, and nauseous. then I yawned uncontrollably for 10-15 minutes. My neck became sore and stiff. The feeling passed, but a Blood pressure check a couple of hours later revealed 180/109. I checked it 3 times.
This doesn't sound particularly like heart attack. And yes, sore muscles and all the other symptoms you describe can be caused by anxiety, especially if the anxiety is extreme and lasts for an entire day or longer.
I think it's worth going to a doctor, for two reasons. One is just to make sure your heart is OK. Another is, if you get anxiety attacks like this often, it may be worth to start treating them.
Hi, im an 18 year old female I weigh about 160, my mother & sister has high blood pressure, other than that no family heart issues/attacks. For the past 4 days my left arm (upper) and my left coller bone has been aching, I wouldn't say pain.. its more like pulling a muscle feeling and also my left side of my neck, it can really feel it if I lean forward.

I was wondering if you think this could have actually been a heart attack. I dont really like doctors, and hate feeling like a time waster. I would just like your opinion on what you think this may have been.

I did end up in hospital with it as i was having heart palpitations this time. Plus suffering with neck pain. My chiropractor touched my temples, neck and instantly put me through a full vertigo attack. It’s sore to touch my temples. I’ve had ecg,echo,24 hour monitor. CT scan, bloods, ear scan 2 months ago and came back clear. It’s been a week since I was in hospital and just cannot walk around the house as too weak and dizzy. Any body experience this.
Yes, your symptoms could be related to a heart attack, but more likely the underlying cause associated with the heart attack may be culprit. For instance, occluded vessels can interrupt a good flow of oxygenated blood and the heart cells functionality is compromised and heart wall movement is impaired, and occluded vessels will cause pain almost anywhere on the upper torso. But deep breathing that causes pain is usually not related to the heart.
I'm a 14 year old guy. I've been having heart attack symptoms for days. A dull pain in the front of my left shoulder and dull squeezing pain in my left bicep (happens separately most of the time). I also have a lighter dull pain on the left side of my neck. I have some chest pain a little to the left of the center, more caused by squeezing my arms together and flexing my pecs.
The left side of my body (including face and ear muscles) have a "weak" sensation.
He had open heart surgery and had 5 blockages. After the attack, he suffered severe pain in his neck for 2 to 3 years. A few weeks ago he had another very severe heart attack. He was in the hospital when it happened waiting for a heart catherization which was to be done on Monday. His heart attack happened on Saturday morning. Recently, I have been having chest, neck, and left arm pain resembling a heart attack. Along with the pain, I have also been having difficulty breathing and swallowing and severe headaches. I actually thought I was having a heart attack and went to the ER, where they did a complete cardiac workup. I am happy to say that my heart is very healthy, but I am still in pain.
Then my arm felt tingly and then felt a little numbness. I went to ER, thought heart attack, blood and ekg were normal. Then went to Dr two days later still having symptoms and I'm awaiting test results from stress test. This is not anxiety or heartburn, symptoms sound the same, but they feel much different than both. Dr isn't quite sure.
I am a 24 year old male and have been experiencing tightness in neck, chest, and sometimes shoulder area. The tightness is not painful like I could have a heart attack but more irritating. I had surgery for a hiatal hernia and had laparoscopic fundoplication done and I also have scoliosis. I've been to a chiropractor for my tightness to see if that would help but it just came right back. Wonder if this could be related to my scoliosis.
My father only had an upset stomach for two days - no chest pain - yet it was a heart attack - if only we knew. By the time he had the crushing chest pain he was 2 minutes away from death. When I turn my head quickly the headache spreads for a second or two. The pain in my head is always on the top of my head. The back of my neck is always tense and sore and tingly. I don't feel stressed, only when these symptoms come on me. I just got over a bout of gout. I used to get a lot of ear infections because I used ear plugs at work which now I have switched to muffs.
