It has now been a month that my neck glands and my throat glands have been swollen steady. It is not sore, the only pain I feel is when they start to grow bigger, when ever i'm chewing and swallowing it will feel like a pinch sometimes, but not always. I went to my doctor early this week, but he's not sure whether to put my on antibotics for 2 weeks or not because he thinks it could either make it better or make me feel worse.
Around the same time I developed swollen glands in my neck and a mild sore throat. Sore throat went away in about 3 days and the blisters (there were about 10) disappeared a week and a half later. Now I'm 4 weeks from initial encounter and I still have large sensitive swollen glands in my neck and less swollen around my groin. I'm pretty sure my body temperature has been slightly higher than usual for the last 2 weeks also.
Is this normal for having contracted herpes?
The next day I found the early in HIV, swollen lymph glands are common with sore throat and I checked around under my arms and groin and felt nothing even though I felt a little pain that came went, but it didn't hurt to touch it. I checked the next day and felt 3 pea size glands in armpit and 2 in another. i felt the groin and felt some pea size gland, but was not sure. IF IT WAS DUE TO EARLY HIV, SHOULD I HAVE FELT THE LYMPH GLANDS THE SAME DAY AS THE SORE THOAT?
But but swollen glands still there and I took some other medicine to try get rid of it which apperantly didnt help, until now it is march my swollen glands and ocassional sore throat is still there but no fever and other hiv sympthom but rashes sometimes and even small tiny white dot on my lips which might be quite common. My major concern is, I feel my heart and langs slightly painful in General. What kind of sypmthom is it? Should I see another std doctor for another blood test?

I recently did something incredibly stupid. On a post-breakup trip to Vegas, I had a drunken hookup with someone I don't know. I performed oral sex on him for literally about 5-10 seconds without a condom (not to completion). Things escalated and we started to have sex. It only lasted about 2-3 minutes before I wised up and got out of there, but he was really rough and I bled quite a bit. He didn't ejaculate inside me, but he didn't use a condom either. I know...STUPID.
I'm worried about an infection in general like a sore throat and swollen glands and stuff.
I've had same symptoms on and off for over a year now. Sore throat , sore neck and shoulders. I've taken antibiotics everytime and it clears up in days. Never had any of these symptoms until I was diagnosed with hypothyroid. I started taking Synthroid at first and then switched to Armour Thyroid, still get the sore throat and neck pain.
Thank you for the comment. I have gone to the doctor and he wasn't concerned by my sore throat and swollen glands. I was given some pain medication and sent on my way. It's been about 6 weeks and under my chin is visibly swollen but no longer painful but the pressure makes me uncomfortable and I can feel it in my ears. Is this something found in a primary infection?
I have had an extremely sore neck on the left side for the last 24 hours, it has gotten worse in the last 6 and is also accompanied by a very sore throat and difficulty swallowing. Anelgesic and over the counter anti-inflammatory has been ineffective. Pain woke me from my sleep. Neck is extremely tender as is throat and glands are visibly swollen, particularly on the left. Have not had any trauma to the neck but a few days ago the right side was almost as painful.

My glands in my neck (just under jaw bone and down side of neck) have had a dull ache for the last week or so. i havent acquired a sore throat and feel fine in myself although sometime have had headaches as well.
Today the right side of my groin has started a dull ache as well...could these be connected due to the glands in the areas...
no other glands appear to aching (armpit and stomach)

Firstly, it could be a milder type of infectious mononucleosis in which there’s fever, sore throat and swollen neck glands. It is usually a self limiting illness. It is caused by a virus.
The second possibility is sialadenitis which means inflammation of the salivary glands present beneath the jaw line. I’ll advise you to consult an ENT specialist who can give you a better idea after the examination. It’s good that your blood reports and thyroid profile is okay.

ve been suffering from swollen glands which is tender and slightly painful sometimes but not all the time in my neck for over a month now, but also my jaw and ears and behind my ears but no sore throat my doctor is sending me for blood tests but also advised me to see a dentist, I'm starting to worry it could something serious as I like to panic And over think think things since I'm at mother, does it sound like it could be dental related to anyone.?
About five days ago, I noticed one of the glands on the left side of my neck was a little sore and swollen. The next two days, I woke up with a bit of a headache and that heavy feeling in your eyes. I started noticing a bit of a fever - about 99.5. Now for the last two days, I have had up to 100.5 with white spots on my left tonsil and some pressure in my left ear. All the swelling/pressure is on the left side of my head/neck - but there's no pain or soreness in my throat.
Hiv is never diagnosed on the basis of symptoms alone.You need to take an hiv test for early detection.NAT-Nucleic Acid Test or P24 combo and then 3Months post-exposure.All the best.
