Sore neck glands and throat

Common Questions and Answers about Sore neck glands and throat

sore

Four [4] week latter go a very mild sore throat with swollen neck gland on both sides of my neck NO fever and felt good during that period. It lasted 2 days and was gone. I have never had swollen gland ever. This seems strange to me even though I am trying to rationalize it. Am I correct that 4 weeks seems a little long for symptoms? No fever is a key of not being infected? Swollen glands would not be localized but general throughout the body in ARS? And of course oral very low risk period?
Hi - I recently did something incredibly stupid. On a post-breakup trip to Vegas, I had a drunken hookup with someone I don't know. I performed oral sex on him for literally about 5-10 seconds without a condom (not to completion). Things escalated and we started to have sex. It only lasted about 2-3 minutes before I wised up and got out of there, but he was really rough and I bled quite a bit. He didn't ejaculate inside me, but he didn't use a condom either. I know...STUPID.
I have mild reflux but this is controlled using motilium and somac as needed, and I do not associate the sore throat periods with a noticeable flare up of my reflux. This sore throat drives me mad, as mainly because of the swollen glands I feel very unwell all the time. What could it be?
i have been suffering with a sore throat and swollen glands in my neck for the past 4 weeks.i visited the doctor and they put me on klacid for 5 days.this is day 6 and ive not improved.im mad into exercise and sport.will theese symptoms go away?can i still do sport and exercise?
The ARS typically starts two or more weeks after exposure and includes fever, sore throat, rash, and muscle aches. Your symptoms began too soon to be ARS an many of the other parts of the syndrome are not present. As far as alternate diagnoses are concerned, there are at least two different forms or mono an many other common community acquired viral infections could account for your symptoms. I would not worry about HIV.
If you were my patient, I would advise you that sore throats are frequently caused by viruses. Tonsils are glands in the throat that filter infection from the head and neck. Sometimes they can become chronically inflammed and need to be removed. If you have infections frequently, you may want to see your regular doctor, or an ear-nose and throat specialist. Good luck!

My neck has been sore to the touch for 6 months and my throat is sore when I swallow. The pain moves from one side of my throat to the other. My ears are also plugged and they feel like I have had fluid trapped in them for about 6 months as well. I have also noticed that my voice has become hoarse. I also feel congested in my head, but the flem is clear, so I don't think I have a sinus infection. My glands do not feel swollen they just hurt to touch or when I swallow.

Have you had your throat checked for a strep infection? You could also perhaps have mono if you had a sore throat, swollen glands and high fever, fatigue etc. A lot of things will cause high ESR and swollen glands. What other symptoms do you have?
I went from just having a horrible stuffed nose and dry throat to a cough and being barely able to turn my neck to the right. I chalked this up to having less than 2 hours of sleep a night because of being unable to breath properly and it hurts to swallow which makes sleeping uncomfortable as well. Please let me know if this is something I should wait in the doctors office for another 4 hours for or not.
The skin infection cleared after three days of fuisidic cream treatment and my sore throat was gone but the glands are still there. I felt quite tired for the next 2 coming days and 5 days later i found two more glands in my groin(swollen and not visible but can only be felt). Then i started feeling like my muscles r twitching(spasms like) could it be a disease? coz im really trying to figure it out?
Ars symtoms usually appear 2 to 4 weeks after infection and last for about between 4 days and 2 weeks. They include very sore throat, very high fever and rash on trunk-torso and limbs. There is no point putting it off because only a test result is going to provide you with the answers you seek.I wish you all the best.

It has now been a month that my neck glands and my throat glands have been swollen steady. It is not sore, the only pain I feel is when they start to grow bigger, when ever i'm chewing and swallowing it will feel like a pinch sometimes, but not always. I went to my doctor early this week, but he's not sure whether to put my on antibotics for 2 weeks or not because he thinks it could either make it better or make me feel worse. I've also been using salt and warm water this whole month.
I have slightly swollen glands and sore (nurofen) every four to six hours. Don't feel like I have infection anywhere should I go to doctor. Don't want to waste their time. Only had this for three days.
I'm not coughing, yet. Nose is running a little. I touch my neck and it's a little sore. I feel my glands might be a little swollen. I've been taking Alka Seltzer Plus cold medicine. I've gargled with warm salt and water as well. Is there something else you could recommend or should I go to the doctors?
Hello. I'm becoming increasingly worried about swollen glands in my neck. The swelling is located on either side of my neck, roughly half an inch below the mastoid process (these might be the upper cervical lymph nodes but I'm not sure). They can't be seen, but when I feel my neck they feel hard. I've had them now for about three weeks. My only other symptoms: a slight sore throat that comes and goes, and a very infrequent cough. My doc prescribed me with some antibiotics to see if they help.
My doctor just drew blood based on my symptoms but never felt my neck. Is sore throat and neck soreness a symptom of thyroid disorders? Thanks!
How ever I have had no sore throat and no fever. Now all the glands on both sides of my throat are sore, but not swollen. I have read a lot on swollen glands being an early symptom of hiv, but I am not clear on what sore glands with no sore throat means. None of my lymph glands feel enlarged. Is it possible these symptoms could be ARS? The whole time I figured it was just a bacterial infection that would go away, but it still hurts.
I'm worried about an infection in general like a sore throat and swollen glands and stuff.
right after i had a soar throat and i took myself to hospital 3 days later i had an abssesed throat and everyone is telling me to sue my dentist???
First, you will be intubated so talk to your anesthesiologist first about the nodule making your throat sore and see if they can use a smaller size tube. You shouldn't have a scratchy throat. Second is the actual surgery pain. What you will experience is pain in the muscles of your neck (the front muscles have to be cut to access the thyroid).
