424549 tn?1308515502 Hi, Does anyone remember what causes your body to recover slower after work-out? I finally got back to exercising (hurrah) but my body uses a whole lot longer now to overcome the ache. I can't wait for the muscles to be a little less sore. I'm taking 300 mg magnesium after each workout. Earlier that was enough. Even my neck muscles and tendons are cramping at night while I'm sleeping and 4 days after weight-training I can still not extend my arms completely.
Avatar f tn My muscles and joints have been really sore the past couple of days and I haven't done anything for them to have reason to be sore? Especially in my left leg, foot and shoulder! I hate it bc I'm 26 years old and should be able to run and play with my kids and just can't!

8924846 tn?1410572901 The past few weeks my muscles have been sore and stiff. Sometimes right when I wake up. I'm a pole dancer and even though I haven't been dancing as much as usual lately I still do my normal stretching routine. I'm not really sure why I'm so sore and stiff. Has this happened with anyone else? I'm 13 weeks 4 days.
Avatar f tn I get cramps in my calves in my sleep which causes sore calf muscles. Try eating more potassium enriched foods such as bananas, spinach, or kale. It will help a little. But from what my doc tells me it's pretty common.
Avatar f tn During recovery, the body is busy removing lactic acid and replacing depleted glycogen supply. Sports recovery drinks improve the quality and rate of recovery after strenuous exercise, according to John M Berardi, reporting in a 2008 "Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition." Glycogen consists of glucose molecules, which the muscles use for energy.
6894081 tn?1390747763 My best friend had her little girl 2 year ago via caesarean and says her stomach is still numb to this day! I feel as though my muscles in my stomach ache. My mother thinks I'm over doing myself causing this. I do admit I'm pretty much doing anything and everything. How long are you supposed to take it easy for? Or just anyone's personal experiences if you wish to share. Thanks ladies!!
Avatar f tn I woke up with a sore throat again today. My stomach muscles are more sore today than they were yesterday even with the oxycodone, but the pain is definitely not unbearable. The worst is probably when I try to stand up and have to contract those abdominal muscles or when I need to cough as I've also been dealing with some bad allergies/asthma lately, but at least the pain with muscle contractions is over fast (much like soreness you might get from doing too many crunches or sit-ups).
Avatar f tn A c section is major surgery so you definitely have a longer recovery time. They cut ur stomach muscles so it can be hard if not impossible to get those muscles back. I personally didn't have to have one but took care of my good friend who did. I had all 3 of mine naturally and felt pretty good after each.
Avatar f tn I had an ovarian cyst (13cm), along with my ovary and falopian tube, removed 2 weeks ago (July 19). I've been searching for some information on recovery from this procedure. My tummy is still exceptionally sore; very tender to the touch; hurts when traveling in a vehicle from the seat belt and bouncing (worse on my way home from work at the end of the day). I am also still swollen (2 inches more than usual just below my bellybutton) and most of my clothes just don't fit.
Avatar f tn Rest for couple of weeks with anti inflammatory drugs and slowly starting movements till she does not exert herself and strengthening her muscles and coming to full recovery in 2-3 months. If you are guided by a Paediatric Orthopaedician it is always good. Take care!
Avatar m tn If you are doing muscle building exercises then concentrate on the same group of muscles on every alternate day. You can start with regular cardio for 20-30 minutes. You have to plan your exercise schedule with a trainer and follow it strictly. Take care!

Avatar f tn If you are significantly uncomfortable when sitting after 9 weeks I would suggest you see your doctor for exam. It is not uncommon for patients to be sore for sometime after the surgery, 8 to 12 weeks, but an examination can make sure you are healing properly.
Avatar f tn Hi Everyone, I really hope someone can help me out here. I had a mild heart attack in February 2012 and had to have a stent inserted. Since then I've felt like a woman of 102, I work full time however once I get home in the evening my whole body seems to seize and I have to shuffle around as all my joints and muscles ache. In addition, I've developed Carpel tunnel and also Labrynthitis since having my heart attack!

Avatar m tn I am 57 years old and suffer from Anxiety disorder, the doctor has pretty much kept it under control with medication. The last month or so I have been waking up with sore joints and muscles in my arms and knees and my hands have been tingling. I also have been waking up with headaches, dry mouth and burning eyes. I get at least 8 hours of sleep, though its not a deep sleep. And I noticed my energy level has dropped.
