Sore muscles not healing

Common Questions and Answers about Sore muscles not healing

sore

my pain management has always been my PCP who is an internist, so i think she is not knowledgeable.
I read many online articles and they all estimated the healing time for this type of injury as 4-6 weeks. Well, it's now been 16 weeks and I still have not completely healed. I cut out exercise completely until about week 14 when I started to slowly resume my ab exercises- very light routines about once a week followed by heat therapy.
I have a stitch that is being a pain, it is one that should have dissolved (inner stitch) but didn't so the surgeon looked at it because it makes my incision sore in the spot it is coming through! He said it is not a problem, just will be sore for a while. I admit it is a pain though and quite annoying!!
My healing was horrible. still I am sore and my incision healed with bumps and over excess grow of tissue. I was horrified because i was told it would heal just fine with very little noticed of scaring. when i look at the area of my lower abdomen it is very depressing. yet and even still presently i still have pain in the area and now in my lower back. i still have one ovary left in side of me and now im worry if its causing me to have pain.
A few days later, I was masturbating and i noticed when i pushed my erection down, It was sore near where my penis meets my body, and also in the middle of my penis. It did NOT hurt while flaccid. I also suffer from anxiety, so after this happened, every other day or so I have been masturbating to see if the pain has gotten better, and some does it does and some days I feel a slight pain still. Last night I had sex with my wife again, and my penis was still sore.

Both sides of my neck are sore. I will wait and see if this thing clears up and if not ask for a med that does not contain acacia. There are two that I found that do not contain it. You must ask they do not give generic but the real thing.
FORGOT to say- that the cut above the pubic area is now painless, the right side is painless, the belly button- abit of pain when i stretch, use the muscles - but the left one thought not consistently painful- i still get a almost like someone is poking me around that area - and earlier today was painful like the pain lingers there for a few seconds..... bugger my paranoia!
The next day I started noticing some neck discomfort, not really a sore throat, but stiffness and soreness in my throat area, when I turn my neck or put my head up or down to my chest. I thought maybe i might have an infection. I went back to my dentist yesterday, and he said he sees no sign of any infectiion, and that everything is healing nicely. I was glad, but am still concerned about the discomfort in my neck and throat area.
It is fibrous tissue that connects the heel to the muscles of the lower leg, the calf muscles. In addition to the pain being either chronic or acute, the condition can also be either at the attachment point to the heel or in the mid-portion of the tendon (typically around 4cm above the heel). Healing of the achilles tendon is often slow, due to its poor blood supply. The pain is usually noted on that area, not the sides of your ankle.
Basically, for about 24 - 48 hours, an area of skin (generally from the size of a softball to basketball) will become extremely tender and sore to the touch ... almost as if it were bruised significantly. It is so tender that clothes brushing against it is painful. The problem is, there is no visual evidence of it. I went to the doctor and felt as though he was insinuating that I was making up the symptoms because he could not see anything. Very, very frustrating.
I also woke up this morning and found a grape sized lump in my groin between my right thigh and groin. Its very sore to touch. Its not visable and is deffinately under the skin. Things like this always happen to me on weekends when the clinic isnt open grrr. I am booking an amointment on Monday though. I am very worried, i have had abdominal pains for a year and only had intercourse once. They pu the abdominal pains down to IBS but iv always had that little worry.
Steroid shots only help for so long especially if the underlying ailment is not healing. Anywho, I finished 48 weeks in Dec 2012 and attained SVR on 5/31/2013 so HCV is a part of my recent medical history. I volunteered the info since I had recent labs and I cleared the virus. If I had the procedure in a year from now I doubt I would mention it. I mean I do not think it would really matter.
Thrown from horse 10 years ago, landed on back of right shoulder. Xrays didn't show any bone injury and although it took a long time, I eventually recovered. Not sure that is relavent. More recently, 1 1/2 years ago, I started getting pain in my upper back just below my neck. My thumb and index fingers on my right hand went numb. I noticed then that if I turned my head a certain way the numbness would go away.
Behcet's disease (if you have mouth ulcers too), Stevens-Johnson syndrome and diabetes (if the ulcer is not healing) should be explored. You should consult an urologist and get yourself examined. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Come to think of it, they generally start out looking like a coldsore then break into a painful open sore that goes away in a couple weeks. I have a rash on my right hip that showed up a couple days ago and for the last few months I have not been able to get enough sleep. I thought it was my ptsd and everything but now I'm scared it's something more. What is happening to me? I am really starting to get scared.
Even if you get all the junk out of it it will then be an open sore and you dont want the scars -def not THERE- trust me.And the scars go away very slowly eventually gone but it really takes a while ! LISTEN UP - DONOT squeeze em dont pop em with a needle DONOT touch except to wash ! DO use neosporin etc DO wear something silky/satiny if can! I like a slip with legs or I'll wear stretchy cotton shorts under my skirts espeically in hot weather!
I remember a holistic MD who did that and saw an article by the previous surgeon general Everett Koop advocating it. Just a thought as you sound like you are not eager for surgery yet. I have read things that imply not much difference for herniated discs whether you have surgery or not, maybe you could get some objective stats on that. It sounds like your quality of life is not affected alot as you are very active so it may be worth waiting or trying alternatives for awhile longer.
It’s important to realize that whatever comes up from your stomach includes not only acid, but also bile, digestive enzymes, and bacteria. Even microscopic amounts will cause irritation to your delicate voice box, giving you a scratchy throat, cough or hoarseness. This is why these symptoms are most obvious when you first wake up in the morning. It’s also been shown that these same stomach juices can then travel down into the lungs or up into the ears of the sinuses.
My arms also get very sore. Almost like a heavy feeling that aches and does not get any better even changing positions. I recently lost my gag reflex too and now I have had 4 episods when my voice breifly goes to a whisper and then comes back. Have u had any other issues since your surgery? Are u glad you had it when u did?
The next thing that it could be was a yeast infection that was transferred because I am not circumsized, I put some monistat cream and the rash went completely away but my forskin has been especially sore and my penis continues to be somewhat red,but she did not have a yeast infection so I am not sure if that was my problem. Then about 2 weeks after our sexual encounter I got rash on my buttocks which just looks like pimples that are spread out on both of my cheeks.

I'll be 46 at the end of this month & just moved to a new state so I don't have the luxury of knowing any doctors. In the last 1-2 months I suddenly gained 40 + lbs & look pregnant. That seems to be where the weight all is. A urinalysis proved negative for pregnancy on Monday & with my 3 grown kids I did not gain this much weight &/or so fast. I just look pregnant & feel "full - heavy - tired & short of breath" most of the time.
Still really sore muscles, but they have a lot of healing to do. Hope thaat helped, Dana.
I did and do have sore muscles and joints and even just a few tokes used to relieve this pain as well, but no more for me...
I am so glad I found this site and while I don't wish my malady on anyone it is comforting to know that I am not alone. I am a 47 year old female that started experiencing palpitations and PAC's and PVC's about six months ago, although at the time I had no idea what was happening to me. I went to my PCP and he took an ECG and refered me to a cardiologist. I did the stress test via adenosine and the stress test was abnormal as was the ECG so I was then scheduled for a heart catheter.
However, it is not possible to predict the exact duration it will take for recovery, given that the effects of the medication has not been researched in trials adequately. It will not be necessary to cease or abstain from sexual activity in the interim. An ejaculation frequency of 3-4 times a week is considered optimum for the prostate and epididymis.
I scratch and by morning its huge and red, sometimes painful. My left eye is very different. It is not as sensitive. Gets itchy higher, not as much or as often and never swells. After the "itch, scratch and swelling episode" the swelling goes away and I am left with VERY dry skin. I apply lotions at night and after a day or two, I am left with wrinkles!
Like all things, it varies with the individual. My personal ideas of exercises do not match the mainstream ideas of cardio/resp balance, so I won't comment on those exercise programs. You might try different exercises. When you exercise a muscle group in the same way all the time, the body can "get used" to the exercise.
