I'm 25 weeks pregnant and have hacked sore lips for about 4 weeks now! I've been using vasline but not working! Does anyone know what this could be?
I have seen no red sores, blisters or anything, but they continue to burn. Also have a sore throat and a sore mouth. The skin actually peeled off on one side of my mouth and for one day my saliva glands on both sides were swollen. Now the roof of my mouth is sore. All of this feels like when you burn your mouth on hot soup, but I did not burn my mouth. Also my eyes feel dry and burning. Nothing I do seems to elevate the problem.
Is there a possibility that I could be allergic to Carmex??cuz I quit putting it on my lips and my lips don't itch and burn as bad and the red line below my bottom lip has faded..
m worried in patches then everywhere small bumps along borderline of lips. Its nothing like pictures of cold sore herpes. It feels as if my lips are extremely dry even looks like it too with the white bumps/ marks for example it looks like fordyce bumps that wipe away though. And oral thrush in mouth. Does herpes do this?
I recently tried aquaphore.. and that's when it alll started. My lips were burning and going crazy swelling.
It started with a broken tooth that got sore, then the gums, then my cheeks and tongue swelled up nd inside of mt lips, I developed a white sore on the end of my tongue and it split open from top to underneath. Really bad headaches nd now my throat is sore and my lungs are tight. I gargle and brush with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, which keeps it somewhat under control. What do you thinK? O, and I am extremely fatigued. I almost forgot to mention that I have red spots on my palate.
So I thought it was from my food wiped my lips clean it and put more aquophore on over and over a lot cause my lips were burning entire lips. I then had red burning lips and realized it might be from the aquophore... so I stopped using it hours later.
The next day it resulted in skin colored bumps outlining the top of my lip everywhere and then a big red group on bottom of lip. That soon resulted in a white pimple like thing.
Its now been happening off and on since they just burn and get chapped. The other morning I woke up and there were red splothches on my bottom lip after awhile of being awake they went away. This morning I woke up and there is a red spot on my upper lip doesnt really hurt just like a red splotch if I press in it it hurts a little. About a month ago I had blood work done for herpes and it came back negative. Can this be a sign of herpes or just severe chapped lips or acne???
You would be developing lesions by now. The odds of contracting hsv from what you describe is incredibly low.
anyways I went to go pee and my vagina started to burn really bad, i noticed that my vagina was red and my lips were swollen we have had sex before and my lips have never gotten as swollen as they are now. i need to know what can be the cause of this???? I need to know??? Is it cause of friction??? My boyfriend thinks it cause we need lubricent can that be the case??

i got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday ( the 6th of march) and later in the day i noticed a little red strip coming off left side of lower lip. i was possibly exposed to hsv-1 nearly two months ago by kissing a woman with no noticable signs of anything on mouth, lips, etc. my boy even checked out her mouth when talking to her and said so. also, to note quickly i had an igm/igg herpes select test three days after said exposure and i was negative for both types of herpes.
The burning went on for a few days during this time I got a sore throat also figured nothing about it and moved on. Went to a derm doc for the lips and he said all is clear nothing to worry about said the sore throat could have been anything looked and didn't see much (didn't use flash light) my neck was sore and "tough" but he said no on lyphnodes being enlarged.
I have had sore lips with a red ring around the outside of them. They look terrible and feel like they are puffed up. I use Chapstick and Vaseline, but nothing helps. Some people say use B12, but I've taken that every day for years. I have not been to a doctor because it seems like they don't diagnose anything. Does anyone have any help for me. This has been occurring the past year and I've changed nothing in my life and I don't lick my lips.
While I was taking the new pill my lips gradually became more and more sore. When I stopped taking the pill it appeared to clear up, then 3 weeks later it suddenly flared up again. My lips become very swollen, the skin around the lips is deep red and if I don't keep them moisturised they dry out, crack and bleed. I also develop an acne-like rash on my cheeks and get white head spots around the edges of my lips. A couple of times the red part of my skin around my lips started leaking puss.
I finally took a mirror and noticed my vagina and lips were still very red and there was a large sore right next to my vaginal opening. I noticed a couple other sores on my vaginal lips on opposite sides but at the exact point that they rub together.
I'm wondering if I had a bad reaction to the monistat and the sores are from a chemical burn or from the yeast infection... Or if it could be something worse, like herpes?
I am just somewhat alarmed because the area around my anus is very very bright red where it is sore. Does this sound like a burn or an infection to you? I am terrified of Crohn's disease or celiac's disease, and would like to rule this out as a source of my loose stool as well.
Please advise ASAP. I am extremely anxious about this problem.
2 days later the burning feeling went away and I believed I was in the clear but it seemed to stay red. About 2 weeks after, it started to burn after I urinated again and the whole penis head was red, look like streaks of red. Doctor told me it was a yeast infection and gave me a pill. The redness around the whole head went away but the red around the meatus was still present and the skin where it is red looks different from the rest of the skin.

For the last year or two, I've been on and off experiencing a little 'flaking' of my skin underneath my lip and above my chin, almost in a triangle shape. I used to get eczema when I was younger, but I haven't had it for years. Usually, I'd put a little 'Lenovate' cream on it and this would take care of the itch associated with the flaking and clear it up within a few hours.
I used Nair on my bikini area and some got in between the lips. The area burns, it is red, it has small sores and bumps, and the lips are sticking together. All I've done is take ibuprofen and applied some ice. Should I just put antibiotic ointment and wait it out?
Last night when I was laying in bed I was moving my mouth around and I noticed that it kind of hurt. So this morning when woke up and I went and looked at my lip and there's a red bump on my upper lip. It doesn't hurt if I don't touch it, only if I scrunch up my lips and if I press on it but it doesn't hurt enough to cause discomfort. It doesn't burn or itch. Is it a pimple, or a cold core, or possibly something else?
Update- it no longer hurts.

ve recently been checked for gonorrhea and chlamydia but still seem to be exhibiting symptoms. My greatest fear is HSV. But I digress. I have red, chapped lips that feel dry and burn on occasion Including to whit spotting on the corners of my upper lip. Also, on occasion, I find that I'll feel pain from the left testicle to the tip of my penis.
OK so I noticed a few weeks ago and had a cluster of sores om on my stomach. Almost like pimples but no puss. I kinda scratched them away they scabbed up and disappeared.
Then a few days later. I noticed a cluster of the same type of sores on the skin of my penis near where it connects to the head. (Like by where I might hold it) They looked like the same type of bumbs butafter the tops had be scratched away so they look like sores. Again No puss They were not raised but sores like a scrap.
since I have been in Constant discmfort, sometimes pain on the bad days, my lips burn alot just in General, I do get spots that seem to burn more and be isolated as week as tingling senstaions, but never a sore of any kind, since this had happend I have gotten more canker sores and the clear raised boil type looking spots on the inside lip, starts with an m but cannot recall. Around the time this started I seem to have gotten small bumps behind my ears, may be unrelated but not 100% sure.
when i stretch my lip it looks like theres a little orangish red dot in the centre of the bump, if i run my tongue over it it tastes a little metallic but it doesn't hurt. Ive had no cold sore symptoms at all (like no itching or burning), I have had a bit of a sniffle but i put that down to travel as i recently took two flights out for holiday, can anyone help me out?
