sore gums teeth

For over a year I have been experiencing sore and sometimes inflamed and swollen gums. I have seen both my dentist and hygienist and we have been unable to solve the problem or what is causing it. The pain is now there more often than not now, whereas before it was intermittent. I have not managed to pin point what may cause the symptoms.

m 34+6 and yesterday all of the sudden in between two of my teeth started hurting every time I ate anything. Now today my gums, just where they meet my teeth hurt so bad and it just makes my whole mouth hurt! I've heard that women can get swollen gums during pregnancy, but it never happened with the last two and just surprised me at how fast it came on. Anyone else having this problem? And tips to help it?

I had a cavity with my son, and in my early pregnancy it hurt SO bad I had to get an antibiotic for it, also sore or sensitive gums, and bleeding gums are common during pregnancy.

I take extremely good care of my teeth so I was surprised when I discovered that the top right side of my gums and my bottom right side of my gums (exact spot), appear to be irritated and sore. I went to bed knowing that the bottom was irritated, but I thought it might just be a canker sore, and when I woke up, the top was irritated too. Any ideas of why this happened or what it could be a sign of? Thank you in advance!

the teeth, if they are chipping, are probably decayed. Additionally, they are causing your gums to be inflamed. I would not jump to the conclusion that your sore throat issue is due to the wisdom teeth scenario, but I guess it's possible. Why dont you have the teeth removed and see if your sore throat problem clears up?

My gums are super sensative and bleed everytime i brush my teeth or bite into something hard. Ive switched my toothbrush to one with softer bristles but it hasnt helped. Is there anything else other ladies are doing to help?

My gums are very sore and at times bleed when I brush my teeth. It seems that they are sore but it goes away and then comes back again. Not sure if this is an infection??? What else I can use besides tooth paste and mouthwash to help them??? How did I get this I brush my teeth all the time???

As the dentist found nothing wrong with the tooth and gum that is good. I take it that he didn't say that you have sensitive teeth then? If you have receding gums you may find it is very sensitive to hot, cold and sweet food and drinks. If that is the case, you can purchase the toothpastes for sensitive teeth. It builds up over time and the sensitivity gets less with time.

I would suggest that you see your dentist to check your mouth, teeth and gums. You may need to floss every day to strengthen the gums. The dentist would be able to say if there is a problem in the mouth. The doctor would check out your throat and take a swab from the mouth to see if there is a bacterial or fungal problem. A fungal problems is easily treated with Daktarin oral gel or Nystatin drops.

I have always had great teeth and gums, but here lately it has been rough. I have swapped to a soft brush and toothpaste with gum protection. My gums are so sore. Any advice?

Hello about a month or so ago i had performed unprotected oral sex on two different women. A week or twp later my gums became really sensitive and sore as well as my inner lip. There also seems to be soreness on my tongue that comes for a day and then goes away but comes back sometimes. The gums between my front two teeth are the most sensitive. Could this be herpes? It hasn't gone away yet but ive noticed no outbreak externally.

My last dental visit a month ago I had no cavities on my left side however I looked today and number 17 has a black spot on it as well as bad decay on the OD area. my gums are swollen and sore. and the teeth where I just got my rooth canal the gums are swollen around the crown and my mouth is just sore. Not sure what the problem is, but a couple of weeks ago i noticed that when i wake up, my lower cheek where it meets the gums on the left side is sore. Sometimes the top area is sore too. I thought i was biting it in my sleep, but the area is way below where i can bite. also, my gums are a bit red and there is a white spot right where it meets the tooth. I brush, floss, and use mouth wash twice a day. There is no food stuck there.

I first noticed this one morning when I felt pain on the front of my gums and felt a big hard bump there that was quite sore. This sore has since become more soft, as I can move it around with my finger and feel off what apears to be dead skin but it hasn't gone away after a month. I am at my wits end with this, my symptoms are, the front upper teeth and gums are sore, palate close to the teeth is sore at times, even my tongue feels sore sometime. I have worn a night guard for several years, the dental hygenist suggested stress is causing this? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Had sinus sugery 4 days ago (fixed deviated septum, right turbinate reduction, sinus drainage hole enlarged). Gum pain is a lot worse than the sinus surgery pain in nose/sinuses. General anesthesia caused 3 ulcers, the one on gum-line hasn't healed, very painful, seemed to be the trigger. (Some numbing, tingling under top teeth from surgery but can deal with that.

The bumps are still visible. My gums are still swollen and irritated at the front two teeth to the point where my bottom teeth are hitting my top gum (I have a serious overbite). To compound this, after I'd seen my family doctor, my gums became very sore on my right side directly behind my molar. Do your gums actually hurt, or are they sore? Applying too much pressure with any type of toothbrush can irritate your gums. The cheap spin brushes are harsh, stick with medium to soft bristles, and don't scrub your teeth, just brush them gently. You don't have gingivitis or your gums would bleed. I just think you've been too aggressive in your brushing. Hope this helps.

would that possibly be related to the arthritis?? also it has been 2 weeks and my gums have stayed very sore is there anything i can do to help the gums heal I am using warm salt water several times a day.

Anybody else's gums bleed while brushing their teeth? I went to my dentist and she said it's just the pregnancy. It should go away after pregnancy. But it's so annoying and sometimes my gums are so sore!
