Sore gums between teeth

Common Questions and Answers about Sore gums between teeth

sore

Avatar f tn I'm 34+6 and yesterday all of the sudden in between two of my teeth started hurting every time I ate anything. Now today my gums, just where they meet my teeth hurt so bad and it just makes my whole mouth hurt! I've heard that women can get swollen gums during pregnancy, but it never happened with the last two and just surprised me at how fast it came on. Anyone else having this problem? And tips to help it?
Avatar n tn Hi, Do you have periodontal pocketing? If so, fluid can get down into the pockets and transfer pain via the tooth dentin. If your dentist has checked your gums and teeth, try flossing with small dental brushes or piks. Be sure to use your regular floss, too. This will help remove any fluid or tartar build up from between your teeth which can be VERY irritating to the gum and cause a tremendous amount of pain. I had the same thing on one side and was sure it was just one tooth.

Avatar f tn Hello about a month or so ago i had performed unprotected oral sex on two different women. A week or twp later my gums became really sensitive and sore as well as my inner lip. There also seems to be soreness on my tongue that comes for a day and then goes away but comes back sometimes. The gums between my front two teeth are the most sensitive. Could this be herpes? It hasn't gone away yet but ive noticed no outbreak externally.
Avatar f tn Im I the only one who has very sore gums during pregnancy ugggggg all I had was one bbq wing and had to due ti soreness of my entire mouth
Avatar f tn Did the dentist say the gum looked healthy or not? Flossing in between the teeth to the gum line will help. Rinse your mouth with salty water after washing your teeth. Or use an antibacterial mouth wash. For bruxism (grinding of teeth), you can get a gum shield to protect your teeth from being worn away from grinding when you sleep. The dentist usually makes it for you to fit over your bottom teeth.
Avatar f tn t properly cleaned by a hygienist for awhile, I get either an infection or inflammation of the gums between my wisdom teeth and the back of my mouth. I am currently dealing with this problem. I believe I have toris. No one has ever told me that, but I have bony, rounded protrusions on the inner sides of my bottom jaw. On one of these protrusions,a small (around 1/16th of an inch at most), sharp protrusion has broken free of my gums. The gums aren't sore there.
Avatar f tn A triangular piece of skin peeled off my gums between two bottom teeth in the back while I was brushing my teeth. I don't know if any fluid came out, if it did it was while I was brushing and wouldn't notice. The surrounding gums are pale pink. There is no tooth pain, no sensitivity while eating or drinking anything, no fever, and no discomfort at all. I never noticed the formation of a blister or sore or anything so I don't know what happened before this skin peeled off.
Avatar f tn Thank you. Ive been using the sensidine tooth paste but doesnt help, hopefully the dentist can help when my appointmemt comes around!
Avatar f tn I had a cavity with my son, and in my early pregnancy it hurt SO bad I had to get an antibiotic for it, also sore or sensitive gums, and bleeding gums are common during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn What kind of toothpaste is the best? I find some kinds make my gums alittle sore. Colgate? Arm n Hammer? Aquafresh? etc...
Avatar n tn I have realized that recently the little bit of gum in between my two front teeth has been inflamed and extremely sore. I have always had a small gap which has been slowly closing over time, could this irritation be because my teeth are moving? Would it be worth a trip to the dentist or will time heal it?
Avatar m tn Conventional gums hurt my sensitive teeth and gums, anyone know of a gum that is ok for sensitive teeth? Thank you kindly.
Avatar n tn I'm a teenager, you see. I just got braces this summer, but the problem is that I have a lot of honors classes and no time to brush my teeth at all. So a gap has formed between some of my teeth, but that's not my major concern. When I brushed my teeth about a week or two ago, my gums were bleeding.I thought it was just because I hadn't brushed my teeth in a while. I brushed my teeth again a few days ago, and the same thing happened, but this time my bottom left gums felt sore/hurt.
Avatar f tn I take extremely good care of my teeth so I was surprised when I discovered that the top right side of my gums and my bottom right side of my gums (exact spot), appear to be irritated and sore. I went to bed knowing that the bottom was irritated, but I thought it might just be a canker sore, and when I woke up, the top was irritated too. Any ideas of why this happened or what it could be a sign of? Thank you in advance!
Avatar f tn I have a black speck between my teeth and gums. I think it is food. It's like the second to last teeth on the inside so I cant really see clearly what it is. The area is a little bit sore but not swollen, I will try to make a appointment at my dentist but I really want to get it out before then. What ways should I try? Ps.
Avatar n tn in the roof of my mouth for quite some time now. One of them is the one is in the center that runs between the front two teeth and the other is next to it. They are slightly swollen and sore (I tend to rub my tongue on them a lot lately). I have also noticted a small pump next to one of the ridges and a small bump in my gums between one of my front teeth and side tooth that is greyish/deep read.
Avatar n tn the teeth, if they are chipping, are probably decayed. Additionally, they are causing your gums to be inflamed. I would not jump to the conclusion that your sore throat issue is due to the wisdom teeth scenario, but I guess it's possible. Why dont you have the teeth removed and see if your sore throat problem clears up?
Avatar f tn My gums are super sensative and bleed everytime i brush my teeth or bite into something hard. Ive switched my toothbrush to one with softer bristles but it hasnt helped. Is there anything else other ladies are doing to help?
Avatar m tn Do your gums actually hurt, or are they sore? Applying too much pressure with any type of toothbrush can irritate your gums. The cheap spin brushes are harsh, stick with medium to soft bristles, and don't scrub your teeth, just brush them gently. You don't have gingivitis or your gums would bleed. I just think you've been too aggressive in your brushing. Hope this helps.
689528 tn?1364135841 Poor sweetie, that's gotta be so uncomfortable. I hate teething, especially with the molars coming in. I wish there was something else to do to help other than giving ibuprofen or tylenol. I don't know of anything they can chew on that'll reach back there.
Avatar n tn It is hurting the back on the lingual side now and is still sore between 19/20 gums and it is still creating space inbetween these teeth for some reason, causing my other gums to hurt. It is getting to be a little bit ridiculous with not getting my occlusal right, if my gums are still hurting from trauma how can the gums get better with something on them irritating them is my question to this dentist. I can feel it trying to heal, but the crown will not let it.
Avatar f tn His fever is gone and he also has an appetite, so I assume it does not have anything to do with his teeth or gums. But i think it is worth mentioning that 3 weeks ago, he has been complaining about his gums hurt because food got stuck inbetween his molars. it got better after brushing/flossing. yesterday, I took him to the doctor and we were prescribed antibiotics to reduce the swelling but no explanation was offered whatsoever.
Avatar n tn My gums are very sore and at times bleed when I brush my teeth. It seems that they are sore but it goes away and then comes back again. Not sure if this is an infection??? What else I can use besides tooth paste and mouthwash to help them??? How did I get this I brush my teeth all the time???
Avatar m tn I went to the denist not long ago and got a couple cavities filled, before i went in my teeth felt fine, but after the filling i eat and my gums hurt really bad. I called the dentist to tell them the problem and they said to wash my mouth with salt water and I have been but they still hurt anytime I eat anything. What can I do about it??
Avatar n tn I would suggest that you see your dentist to check your mouth, teeth and gums. You may need to floss every day to strengthen the gums. The dentist would be able to say if there is a problem in the mouth. The doctor would check out your throat and take a swab from the mouth to see if there is a bacterial or fungal problem. A fungal problems is easily treated with Daktarin oral gel or Nystatin drops.
Avatar f tn I have always had great teeth and gums, but here lately it has been rough. I have swapped to a soft brush and toothpaste with gum protection. My gums are so sore. Any advice?
