Hello about 3 days ago my bottom eyelid was tender to touch or put eyeliner on,it was not discolored or puffy/ yesterday my btm eyelid under eyelashes was swollen looked like fluid was trapped/Wednesday am my bottom eyelid was almost swollen shut &very sore no discoloration or krusties / i have a little white pimple like spot on the inside middle part of bottom eyelid ..... what is it????
I thought at the time it might also caused by my eyeliner so I purchased non-allergenic line. I used this past weekend and eye lids are very sore and swollen. Went back on alergy medicine. I put liner on bottom of eye to test and see if it was liner, but nothing happened so I assume not. Why is this coming back and what do I do. Thanks.
It is important to determine that the visual problem is due to the eyelid sore and not secondary to more internal structures like the blood vessels of the eye and retina.
Apply a warm compress over the eye for 15 minutes. Seek immediate consult since this may be painful and you need antibiotics for this.

Drooping swollen eyelid could be from head hitting floor. Sore throat and neck could be from screaming and whiplash from head hitting the floor. You need a little relaxation time and some anti-inflammatory treatment, maybe some physical therepy. Talk to your primary care doctor to get looked at ASAP and if lid is still abnormal, see an ophthalmologist also.
Yesterday I had a bit of a red bump that looked like a pimple on my eyelid, which became more and more sore throughout the day. I worn contacts sometimes, but when my vision got bad again I stopped using contacts. Since this summer, I noticed my left eye lid have been swollen. I have been told by my second doctor that that was because of allergies. She prescribed me anti-allergy drops but it didn't help. She also advised me warm presses, and it didn't help. However, now I switched back to the first doctor, she said that the swollen eye was due to the damage on my cornea.

i was diagnosed with bih in 2006 and ive been in and out of hospital since i was put on diamox xmas 2006 and i came off it noz 2007 and so far all has been fine no headaches anything and i noticed over the weekend that my left eye ball seems swollen compared to the right my eye lid is covering more of my left eye due to it being swollen. there is no pain or blurred vision or anything really and i just wondered if this could be anything to do with raised pressure again?
Over the last six months i am having recurrent swollen eyelid, only one eye at a time but can be either eye, usually lasts 1 or 2 days, only upper eyelid, no pain, itchyness, blurry vision or bloodshot eyes. It seemed that just the inner part (toward the nose) of the eyelid was red and swollen but the skin above my eyelid has also drooped over my lid. The redness is gone and although my eye still feels like something is not quite right and the lid is a little more dry than normal, it looks all better except for that drooping skin. Is that due to swelling? Will it get better? I am only 24, so I don't think that skin should be drooping already (& on just one eye).

However, I feel pain coming from top eyelid of my right eye when I gently touch it, and feel pain when I blink. The pain is in one spot of the top eyelid. The pain spot it the to right hand corner of the right eye (corner away from the nose).
Keep in mind that the pain is in one single spot of top eyelid. Meaning, if I gently touch any other part of top eyelid of the right eye, I DO NOT feel any pain. The pain is coming only form one spot which is top right hand corner of the eye.
t hurt but is uncomfortable for my eyelid crease when my eye is open. If i worry about it, the swelling increases and takes over my entire eyelid. I take phenergan which knocks me out and sleep it off or another antihistamine. It usually goes within a couple of hours but for swelling of my whole eyelid usually takes a day until the puffiness has gone. I have a cough at the moment and the doc says it is caused by asthma as the cough is dry and no cold symptoms or anything.
ve been having false eyelashes for about a year , but the last time I had them I reacted to them almost immediately- swollen bottom eyelids and red , I saw gp who said i needed them off and gave me an antihistamine, any way since then I have been suffering intermittent swollen bottom eyelids ( mainly my right eye) , it will be ok for maybe a week and then just randomly swell again , if I take an antihistamine quickly the swelling goes down again for maybe a week ?? As the day went by, it started hurting when I blinked and today it is a little more swollen than yesterday, but not too swollen. It hurts when I blink and the top corner of my eye is tender to touch. There seems to be no signs of anything resembling a stye. I applied some ice last night to see if the swelling would go down, but it doesn't seem like it will. Other than the swelling, my eye is not red and there is no discomfort besides when I blink.
Could this be an injury?

I also visited an opthalmologist who indicated that I have 20/20 vision and no issues behind my eye but that my face is assymetrical (which he said may be normal for me as it is for most) but that my swollen eye appears slightly set back from the other eye (I never noticed this nor has anyone else who knows me). My medical doctor says this isn't so. Would this type of issue cause a swollen eyelid?
