Also, after af last month up until now my breasts have been super sore. I know that these can be side effects from the patch, but the patch website said after three months of use, that those symptoms are greatly reduced in women who were experiencing them. I was on the patch for a good 5 or 6 years and I never had midcycle spotting and my boobs only got sore after I took it off and was waiting on my period to begin.

but she experienced some midcycle breakthrough bleeding this month on the 30th. she is also experiencing sore breasts. what does this mean in the context of pregnancy and its chances and also in the context of side effects on her body. is everything ok?

Honestly, it's just down to your breasts probably growing or changing. You're still only 17 so you're still going through puberty and our breasts change all the time. You don't have to be pregnant or be on your period to be having sore breasts - especially during puberty. Sounds completely normal to me. Try a hot shower, I know that helps when mine are sore.

On my CD1 I had a normal but light period and very sore breasts that continued through to day 13 today. Normally I would have much mucus and a positive ovulation test today. Both my ovulation test and pregnacy tests are negative, yet my breasts are very sore, I have zero mucus, and only a faint second line on the ovulation test. I can feel that my estragin is low (I am tired and not in the mood). What could be going on? Why don't these sore breasts settle down like usual?

No you can not get pregnant that way.

Sore breasts is also a common side effect of birth control. It can also simply be caused by your cycle in general due to hormonal changes throughout. I wouldn't worry about pregnancy unless you miss a period.

Thing is, never had any issue with mid cycle bleeding or sore breasts before. It didnt get heavier. I just started spotting on thursday night. And signs are slowly starting to get more prominent. Not sure whats going on. Dr says its UTI, mother in law say no, pregnant just to early to tell, i say im so confused, but i just feel different. Like things are changing. Not sure if that has happened to anyone else or not?

It could be the case but I usually get sore breasts through my whole luteal phase and sometimes they can be really sore. It's a difficult symptom to be able to tell.

ve missed 3 consecutive periods they want you to come in, but this varies depending on the doctor and their practice. When was your cycle due? It sounds as though you quit taking your BC mid cycle, and that alone can cause all the symptoms you're currently feeling.

I have suffered bad mid cycle pain for years but in the past year it has been getting much worse. I have had mittelsmerz rulled out so its not that. I have the pain for about a week and it gets worse and worse each day till it vanishes. It does ease it just vanishes. The pain in all through my pelvis with a lot of swelling in my below region. I bloat out to look about 4 months pregnant. Doctors havent done much to look into it and no one can say what they think it could be.

Every pregnancy is different. I had sore breasts for the majority of my pregnancy and it didn't go away until about 1 month after I delivered.

I would however say that the chances are slim since women usually ovulate mid cycle and you were on your period at that time. Best thing to do would be to get a pregnancy test. Most likely though it is just PMS.

I was on the depo-provera shot & was not having a period; however, I have still not had a menstrual cycle & I haven't had a shot in almost 1yr! The other day I noticed that my breasts were very tender & sore to the touch! They started out extremely sore & anything touching them hurt so bad that it almost brought tears to my eyes.

I am feeling no symptoms of starting my period (such as cramping like i usually have), besides very sore breasts for the past week... Along with the soreness, my breasts have increased in size, which is as usual with the pain. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past year with no luck. Took a pregnancy test today and read negative.
