Avatar m tn Prior to that, I had been on antibiotics for a severe colds, twice and have gotten yeast infections twice due to those antibiotics, so it was inevitable that I was going to get another yeast infection after I finished the Solodyn. I started getting the yeast infection symptoms a little more than a month ago, but wanted to wait until after I finished the antibiotics to fill my sript for the vaginal cream, Terazol.
Avatar f tn Can I treat it with regular yeast infection medication or do I need something specific for pregnancy? Are yeast infections common for pregnancy?
Avatar f tn in for fear it was not really healed. my question is, is that one of the side effects? i know the monostat 1 & 3 are pretty harsh and ive read about the effects other women experienced. my thinking is, since it is pretty harsh, and ive used it through almost twice, my insides are just angry with me and it is a reaction to the prolonged use ofthe medication rather than the yeast infection. has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn re prone to this, you can either request a different antibiotic (one that is less likely to cause this) or ask your doctor if there is something he/she can give you along with the antibiotic to reduce the likelihood of getting a yeast infection.
Avatar f tn Recently I came down with an upper respiratory infection and the doctor prescribed me a penicillin to clear it up. I told the doctor that I had a yeast infection the last time I took an antibiotic. I purchased a probiotic but didnt take it till after the 3rd day of medication and the damage was done already. I got a yeast infection and I have had one before due to antibiotics so I knew what it was.
Avatar f tn Not only am I having very watery diarrhea, but I’ve been nauseaous and somewhat dizzy and, best of all, I think I’ve developed a yeast infection. And a bad one at that. It itches, burns, and has a strong odor. (Which I know is apparently not common for yeast infections, but idk if this medication could have caused BV or not so...? And my endless late night googling has found that sometimes a yeast infection can smell? I don’t know, man...) So anyway...
Avatar n tn Ten years ago as part of a routine STD testing I tested positive for antibodies to HSV 1 and 2. (herpes type I and II IgG and IgM. HSV-I IgG ab >6. HSV-II IgG ab 4.90. I never have symptoms or outbreaks and if I do, they are so mild I don't notice them. I recently began a relationship with a man. I am a woman. He gets cold sores. We have not had intercourse yet. My NP recommended 400 mg a day of acylovir to reduce shedding.
Avatar f tn Sounds like a yeast infection discharge to me; this is NO side effect from the medication in my opinion.
Avatar f tn It seemed like the Prilosec just started to take effect and I started having all these side effects. The worst was the zantac where I got the second yeast infection. Luckily urgent care gave me a refill from the one after the antibiotics.
Avatar f tn My doctor gave me Norfloxacin 400mg dose twice a day for a yeast infection during my first week of pregnancy wthoutout knowing I was pregnant now that i missed my period and took the pregnancy test which came positive I know that i must have conceived a week before I actually got the thrush and went to the doctor saying I probably had the yeast infection and had passed on to my partner when he gave me Norfloxacin without checking if i was pregnant.
Avatar n tn I was on lupron which is similar yet different and when i tried to have sex i was so dry, and i mean dry it was ripping me inside and out and I ended up with yeast infection after yeast infection it really was so painful. I had the opposite i think because i had the add back meds i didnt want to eat at all, but now that i am back on the pill i want to eat anything and everything that is bad for me :( its hormones that do that. Irritablity can be from that as well.
Avatar f tn types of vits but by the time they figure out that your pretty drained--possatium also causes you to heart flutters sometimes --I never knew a vit deficiency would cause heart problems-- you say you keep getting infectons down there have you gotten you husband/boyfriend treated--clamidia causes alot of these symptoms but so due other bacterial infections like bacterial vaginosis--it seems like you keep on reinfecting yourself i-- they dont give these enough credit for feeling crappy--no matter
Avatar n tn what are common side effects of a yeast infection? and how do you make it go away fast?
Avatar f tn So doctor said I have a yeast infection because my discharge is smelling funny. How many of you have taken fluconazole 150mg and have been just fine? They say there is risks taking it but that it's safe. I'm 30w0d.
Avatar n tn Yes it could and you might be having a yeast infection. All antibiotics can cause that, and this one can also cause stomach upset. Do try taking some pro biotics. It will help with the tummy stuff and contact your doc about the other pain.
Avatar f tn im 31w pregnant and i just found out i have a yeast infection and i have to put the cream everytime i go to sleep my question is if its bad for my baby because i have to insert the tube all the way inside my vagina..
Avatar n tn Also, the itch and discharge could be due to a yeast infection, which would have been caused by the medication and the birthcontrol. (BC can cause yeast infections). And the nausea is probably either in your mind or due to the stress of thinking you are pregnant. I think that you are making yourself sick, by being so paranoid. Women can experience symptoms of pregnancy when they think they are pregnant, when infact, they aren't.
Avatar m tn Is the tongue just white all over or in patches? Patches I believe typically indicate some sort of yeast infection (I believe it's called thrush - appears as whitish, velvety lesions in the mouth and on the tongue. Underneath the whitish material, there is red tissue that may bleed easily. The lesions can slowly increase in number and size.) that will require further treatment. If you had Thrush, your doctor probably would have caught it I imagine.
Avatar m tn Hello hun, honeslty i truly do not believe thr it is a yeast infection, especially for eight years. If it was a yeast infection you would have a yellowish or other than cream colored discharge, itchiness of the actual vagina, not the bumps and you would, as a lot of people do have burning of the vagina as well. Im not too sure how this would qualify for a yeast infection and they should have done a pap smear at the gyno n tested u for a yeast infection, not just tell u to use monistat.
Avatar n tn Hi, If you have a discharge from the urethra, a yeast (candida) infection needs to be ruled out. It is possible that you became infected befor symptoms became obvious in your girlfriend. Is it possible that the infection she had has not been completely eliminated? How was it determined that the infection had disappeared? Pain in the testicles and a whitish discharge are reasons enough for meeting your doctor and pursuing further treatment after the requisite tests.
Avatar f tn If you look on the website of the particular product you are using, in either the side-effects section or the FAQs they might have the answer to your question. They might also have an 800 number you can call. Regarding why it comes back, well ... 1. It could be just a very persistent infection that doesn't get cured without super-diligent application of the meds. 2.
Avatar n tn Early on, I felt as though I was getting a yeast infection, yet those symptoms subsided after a week. I take cranberry regularly for urinary tract health and I do eat lots of yogurt. Drinking lots of water seems to help with many of the sx.
Avatar n tn I'm wondering if there's any research supporting a link between solodyn and eye floaters. I was on Solodyn for about 2 months and my vision deteriorated over the same period of time. I have pretty severe floaters that distract me in reading and computer use. Previously a little farsighted but not requiring glasses. Optometrist says the back of my eye looks like "a spiderweb." No retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, etc.
