Do the new drugs come with their own side effects besides the ones that soc come with? Not sure if I asked that right, I'm still waiting for everything to come together but if the new meds come with even worse side effects than one might already get maybe that's another reason to treat now.

sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP! Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.

In February, I got retested again and it came back negative for both. I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed me solodyn (minocycline) for folliculitis and said that most likely that is what it is. Recently I experienced the same bumps on the same side of my lower lip where my lip meets my skin. I went to get it tested today and the doctor did not test for herpes, but said that it most likely was herpes.

Hi. I went to the dermatologist and he said it was Perioral Dermatitis. I mentioned to him I also had a rash on my hand and some itching on my legs but he didin't say anything about that. He prescribed Solodyn and the Duac gel. I took the Solodyn for a week and had extreme itching so I called the office and was told to stop that med. The duac gel seems to be working well. Now, my problem is that I still have extreme itching on my neck and legs. My neck is awful!

It has spread north and fully around, under, and to the other side of my sack. It has gone up a little on the right side as well, right in the pubic hair area but has not hit my penis or infected any other region outside my groin area. It burns and itches like crazy. I'm wondering if there's any research supporting a link between solodyn and eye floaters. I was on Solodyn for about 2 months and my vision deteriorated over the same period of time. No retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts, etc.

I had stop using it and the irritation is even worse. I searched the cream and perioral dermatitis is listed as one of its side effects! So I've been applying a cream that gives me the same skin problem I already have!? Also I'm using Benzaderm 10% wash with aloe vera, Tazorac and taking solodyn (minocycline) for acne treatment. I am starting to feel better, but I am having side effects. I have been on the lithium for a year so I am not worried about it, but I feel jittery, am shaky, and my heart rate is staying at 100 BPM. Will this calm down as the med gets in my system? 150 mg per day taken at 75 mg x2. I just want to make sure I will be ok. I see my new doctor on Tuesday. Thanks.

If he is experiencing an increase in heart palpitations while taking Florinef, I would recommend asking his doctor to check his Potassium level. Florinef can deplete the body of Potassium, which can cause all sorts of unusual side effects. If someone had hiv would it take two years or could it have been a reaction to the medication solodyn which does have a side effect of joint pain. Hi all, I had an injection in summer 2013 and before that I was on the pill for about a week, and took some emergency contraception before all that. On average I was on the pill for just a week and half and had injection that last 3 months. Due to side effects I didn't return for second dose and I didn't take pills again. Hey I have been taking Tirosint for 3 months and I have had terrible side effects. I have lost so much more hair, I have broken out in hives, major headaches, memory loss, confusion, major depression, weight gain, on and on. I was taking armor before this and I had a lot less side effects. I felt so much better but the med world doesn't want to support armor for some reason so they fight against us taking it.

The solodyn make me break out in a HEAP of HIVES !! so I stopped taking it about 3 weeks ago and now I have been prescribe Bactrim? It seems that antibiotics are the ONLY thing that cure my acne since I have really oily skin. The topicals dry it out in the beginning, and I only apply a little, but then my sebaceous glands quickly make up for the lack of oil.
