I saw the doctor a few times and he put me as GERD and aeroflagia and prescribed Pariet 20 mg (rabeprazole sodium) and I am bit better but just lying on my side in bed (carpet or futon is no problem) is enough to bring up the gases. I had intense noticeable heart beats sometimes before treatment- now lying on my side gives me noticeable heart beats but its not really unpleasant.

I am not a physician, however, I have had the same sensation in my throat, as well as gastritis, and the sensation in my throat has been attributed to gastric reflux (acid from the stomach going up into the esophagus). I took Pariet (rabeprazole) and it helped with the throat lump and gastritis. (However, I stopped taking it because I felt it slowed down my digestion and I was having a lot of abdominal distension - and still am (I am frustrated that has not yet been diagnosed).

I am a 29 yr old male, had a superficial duodenal ulcer in 2005, My doc had suggested Rabeprazole sodium 20mg which worked well then, he suggested i use it when ever i felt stomach burning or nausea. I have been using Rabeprazole for 5 years now, was workin good, recently my symptoms were back and i started taking 2 doses 20mg each daily.

Can my mom take 40 mg of pantoprazole instead of 20 mg of teva-rabeprazole because she is out of teva-rabeprazole. It is extremely dangerous to substitute one drug for another. Your mom needs to go back to the doctor who prescribed her the teva-rabeprazole and tell him or her that her prescription is finished. The other drug you're asking if your mother should take i.e. the pantoprazole is also twice the amount of the other.

Then a pharmacist asked if I had tried somac as she reckons it was far superior to pariet and Id most likely not need the motilium if on somac, so last week I asked the dr and he said most his patients use somac not pariet(he wasnt the one who originally gave me pariet) anyway he wrote me a somac script, 40mg 2 a day, kinda heavy dose, usually its 1 40mg a day not 2, anyway first 2 days it was still ok then it was so bad, I blamed a night out where I ate pizza and 2 squares of chocolate and tho

and he gave me some medicine such as Albendazole , LEVAMISOLE HCL BP , Secnidazole , nifuroxazide , Lactobacillus LB and Antacid ( Rabeprazole Sodium ) ... But after taking the medicine nothing has happened , STILL feeling really dizzy and i always have Tachycardia ... it should be noted that I the first time i had these Symptoms was when i was 15 years old and it took me 4 or 5 months to recover ..

Mix 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate, not baking powder) in an 8 ounce glass and drink it. If sufficient quantities of acid are present in the stomach, bicarbonate of soda is converted into gas, producing significant bloating and belching within 5 or 10 minutes of drinking the mix. Little or no belching is suspicious for low stomach acid.

thanks so much for the help. i went back to the hospital and did gastroscope test which shows that my stomach had some wounds. the doctor gave me RABEPRAZOLE SODIUM ENTRIC-COATED CAPSULE. I'm feeling fine now. thanks alot. Its not easy for us the foreigners here in China as far as medico is concern.

t help now i am seeing a neurologist i am on venlax XR 150 everyday at evening motilium 1 hour before going to bed and pariet in the morning but still not getting satisfying results:s..please help and what should i do about it?

I have another weeks supply of Pariet. After which the GP asked to see him again for some prescription drugs. Hope pariet treast H. pylary as well. I really appreciate the time you took to acknowledge me. I will keep posting my progress to you. Many thanks..

I am 47 and taking 2 X20mg Pariet a day also on 3 to 4 motilium. These 2 drugs seem to help stop or reduce acid but I have gained 4kilo I feel all bloated like I am 8months pregnant and also my breasts were sore and nnow I have milk. Has anyone else used motilum and had this reaction and should I stop motilium all together? I see my gyno for other issues on Thurs and will definatly ask about this weight gain and milk.

I have acid reflux, will take pariet 20mg daily ( PPI medicine) , I also taking supplements like omega fatty acids and Lutein for eye. Will this the cause of the high GGT ?

Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee

I think it was, but the Dr. said she would let me know it there was a problem. I am currently on rabeprazole for a duodenial ulcer. Not working. I used to be on Prevacid for excess stomach acid, but stopped using it when I went on the rabeprazole. I have an appt. on Monday with Dr. and hope he can find a solution. In the meantime I am unable to eat and see no relief in site. Any suggestions? I am losing my mind !!

lifestyle post diagnosis. They simply prescribed me 20mg of PARIET daily after breakfast for an indefinite period, telling me that some people respond well within a week, and that some take 3 years or more! The PARIET presciption seemed to have worked somewhat for a short while, but I am now again experiencing similarly uncomfortable symptoms, such as lightheadedness, abdominal pains, difficulty swallowing, racing heart rate, etc. Is PARIET my only choice??

However the symptoms I have are very similar to a previous illness when I was prescribed some Pariet. I am trying the Pariet again but was curious if these symptoms were consistent with GERD, and if there is any connection with urination?

She is currently taking Verapamil (240mg night, 160mg morning) which up until a few days ago has prevented her from passing out. She is also taking 20mg Pariet for Reflux.
