social anxiety klonopin

I was diagnosed with social anxiety and panic disorder a year ago. I take remeron and klonopin but the doctor says only to take them at night. I think I need some medication to get through the day but I am afraid to tell him I am having trouble getting through the day. I always have a butterfly feeling in my stomach and when I have to go in public I get very nervous and feel like everyone is looking at me. I guess my question is does anyone else feel this way and what should I do?

Hello Sue357. I have been suffering from social anxiety for over three years and i have been on XR Seroquel for the last year in a half. it has been helping me find peace within myself, but anxiety still haunts me daily. Mostly when i go out to work, parties or even a simple phone call.

I have extremember panic attacks anxiety and social anxiety.. the doctor wants me to go to klonopin 1mg 4 times a day. Should I do this because last time I did this year's ago Klonopin made me drowsy and cranky. Xanax makes me happy energetic without the anxiety. Klonopin I never could tell if it worked I never felt different. What should I do?? Should I switch to Klonopin to help. Between my xanax doses I shake and get sweaty.

Is it ok to take 10 1mg klonopin all at once ?? this is the first time have taken them all at once I should be only taking it 1 mg 3 times a day.... I just could not stand how I have been feeling today ..

Hi there, so for the past 10 years I've had an issue with anxiety. The symptoms come and go but at large I suffer in social situations where I feel outside of my comfort zone. Typical symptoms would be loss of confidence, heart palpitations(to the point where i can barely string a sentence together until they subside) fear of upcoming social events, introducing new girlfriends to people.

when i was 19 is when the anxiety for some reason starting having. mainly social. when i try and get off i take 2 a day and can feel the effects immidiatly. have a hard time getting my words out, mumbble, shaky hands and the rapid heartbeat. i dont want to go to drinking all day to help and i dont want to be on klonopin all my life. i feel like going to a treatment center is the only thing left...

By the time third day comes without Klonopin wafer even though I take 40 mg of Lexapro my depression worsens and my anxiety worsens and roaming of thought about what is the point becomes prevalent, which is relieved if I take Klonopin 2 mg at least every second day. Therefore additional anxiety that she believes that Lexapro 40 mg should take care of anxiety and stop the need for Klonopin is present and brings us additional unneeded worry.

i had a talk about this. I am also on Klonopin 1.5mg a day. About a week ago My anxiety in social settings got so powerful that it was effecting my performance at work. My heart would pound as I drove closer to my job or any social event. (restaurant, friends home etc). Once in the social event I would sweat(enough where others notice), chest would tighten, & I would become like catatonic (afraid to speak to anyone) .

So nardil is a great medication for social anxiety disorder, however I'm too afraid to take it in pill form because of the dietary restrictions it imposes. I was wondering if I can get a pharmacist to convert my pill prescription into an injectable dosage so that the medication bypasses my gut.

hi, i am on clonazepam and zoloft as well. i have started zoloft 50mg, and i take klonopin for anxiety attacks, 0.25 x 3 daily.

Hi everyone, I am on a couple anxiety meds I have struggled with panic disorder and social phobia my whole life. I am on zoloft and klonopin 1mg twice a day My anxiety is really regulated and My doc and I fel the zoloft has done the most for me and I dont plan on staying on Klon. for the rest of my life I dont want to be on a benzo forever I know there are some w/d's but Im not hangin onto this med like a security blanket, I have talked to alot of ppl that do. I take 2 one mg pills a day.

If you are still dealing with anxiety and panic issues...or if the Klonopin was keeping your anxiety at bay....I see no reason to stop taking it. Unlike other benzos, like Xanax and Ativan, that are not appropriate for long-term use, Klonopin CAN be used long term, and can be VERY effective for panic sufferers. I understand that some of the side effects (like the menory issues) can be bothersome...

Im 16 and have had General anxiety for a while then I grew into social anxiety which is mild everywhere but highschool :/ So I guesse my questions are Have you experienced this with SSRI'S? Is it normal or should I ask my doc to go back to my low dose? Also do you think Id benefit with klonopin prn I tend to get seriouse anxiety at time in school its alot worse then summer socially then generally.

Me again!! I have generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. I have a SEVERE case of both!! Can anyone here tell me the best fast acting anxiety pill (like xanax or ativan-ive tried both, my body i think is immune to those now!!) I see my psychiatrist tomorrow and would like some ideas!!

I am prescribed 1 mg klonopin 2 times a day. I am cutting them in half so I can take 4 a day since my panic attacks are so back the past couple of weeks. I am going back to my doctor to see if my meds need to be changed. I put the pill under my tongue to it gets into my system faster or I think it is getting into my system faster.

it has the same affect on me as it does for you, now i was place on klonopin to help deal with panic attack, anxiety, agitation/mood swing and severe insomnia. needless to say it didn't work for any of those things except for my agitation and mood swing and i tood my psych doctor that.

I wanted to add too, if he is taking Klonopin as prescribed for something like an anxiety disorder, and isn't abusing it, then the decision whether to keep taking it or not is something he would have to make after talking to his doctor. Klonopin is a long acting benzodiazepine, which can be used on a long term basis to treat anxiety disorders, and other conditions. If it's effective for the reason he's taking it, then there may not be any need to make any changes.

My doctor has worked really hard to find the best medications that help with my severe depression and anxiety and my counselor has helped me with therapy to help me work through my anxiety and also my temper. I currently am using Zoloft to treat my depression and anxiety and Wellbutrin to help to counter some of the side effects of the SSRI. I also take Calonopin for anxiety. My question is regarding the Calonopin and if it's safe for long term use.

Klonopin is for anxiety, period. Vistaril is for alcohol withdrawal, anxiety and several others things. I'm not sure what you mean by "worse" but I doubt it would help much with your anxiety, Klonopin is a better choice. Talk to your doctor about how you are feeling and go from there. Take care.

Just started seeing a social worker for my anxiety and depression. In the first two appts she has strongly suggesed I go on an antidepressant. The first appt. I cried most of the time, but the second one I was feeling better and not as depressed. But she says that some antidepressants are good for anxiety and I have it and a whole family history of it.

I wanted to know specifically if i substituted the niravam with an equivalent dose of klonopin (under su pervision), if i would still suffer further withdrawal or anxiety, or would i be able to minize it? I got to University, and I dont want any hiccups before Christmas holiday. Since the niravam had served its purpose, and is innefective now, i would simply be going back to my regimen 2 months prior to this. Any further thoughts and insight would be greatly appreciated.
