I have a bad cold with soreness on both sides of my neck. The cold symptoms, including sore throat coughing and sneezing, worked from left side to right side and is starting to break but still have an occasional cough and some sneezing.

Hi, Can you please tell us is it only the sinusitis that you are having or allergic symptoms (frequent sneezing, running nose and nasal block) also associated with it. If you are having nasal allergy associated I would advise to visit your ENT specialist for a thorough examination and change in the medications if it warrants. If you do not have any allergic symptoms then stop the nasal spray, use saline nasal drops, oral decongestants (such as Sudafed) for few days.

I have been diagnosed with Allergic Rhino-Sinusitis.Is it serous than allergic rhinitis?

Has a CT scan of the sinuses been done? This could be due to the post nasal drip that occurs associated with sinusitis or associated allergies. You should try some steam inhalation and saline nasal drops along with oral antihistamine medications and see if it helps with your symptoms. You could also take some oral pain releif medications. Are you allergic to any specific substances? It is in fact a good idea to consult an allergy specialist and get a clinical evaluation.

Hello, everyone! Two days ago, I had a TERRIBLE sore throat. Went to the doctor to get swabbed, did not come back for strep. No fever, but I felt sweaty at night (I think it was due to bad dreams LOL). Accompanied by a pounding headache. The next day, I woke up congested with a runny nose, I coughed up some green phlegm and felt fine the rest of the day. Now, I'm sneezing a bit with clear mucus and it doesn't feel like a cold at all.

I have a sore throat, sinus headace, sneezing and stuffy nose....I believe its allergies, since its happend 2 times in the past 2 weeks....

You and your husband’s doctors might want to consider the possibility that your husband either does not have chronic sinusitis or that he might have mild sinusitis that is not the cause of the “pressure, mid-forehead and eyes.” With “never drainage/congestion/fever” and “never gets congestion, sneezing, post-nasal drip, etc” and a borderline normal CT scan, the evidence for chronic sinusitis is scant.

Hi Sarah, I feel you are having sinusitis/ allergic rhinitis, even though both the entities are different, both present with stuffy nose once you wake up in the morning. Allergic Rhinitis is often associated with nasal stuffiness, sneezing and running nose, whereas sinusitis is associated with nasal stuffiness with or without nasal discharge.

so I was diagnosed with sinusitis on Thursday and was given Doxycycline monohydrate by my doctor. Monday morning I woke up with a low grade fever of 100.1 and a sore throat. Of course with all this virus hysteria I am fearing the worst. I have no other symptoms because nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, fluid in ears and of course the sore throat. Body temp has been between 98 and 99 degrees. any advice? Thank you!

CT scan is not very useful in diagnosing acute sinusitis. I would suggest you to discuss with your family doctor about the usefulness of four view X rays in your case. http://www.aafp.org/afp/981115ap/fagnan.html I would suggest you to take steam inhalation few times a day and see if it helps. Hi thanks for this. I was reading up on Sinusitis, however I don't have any other flu symptoms. Maybe sneezing a bit more but with summer coming that could be hayfever. I have a slight "rushing" in my ears. Feels like a million ants crawling along my forehead with pressure and lightheaded. I think I'm going to get some over the counter sinus pain relief and see does this make a difference and if not I will go back to my MD.

I have went to the E.R. and they did two CTs, one without contrast and one with of my head and sinuses, they were normal. The problem is I still have a headache with a lot of pressure in my forehead and in between my eyes. This gets worse when I lay down or bend over forward. I have a history of sinus problems and head aches but never lasting this long and usually motrin gets rid of it. I do have a little congestion but without signs of infection and do have occasional sneezing.

Check out if it could be environmental , many here in The US are having symtoms of sinusitis, head aches, fatigue , sneezing, itchy sore eys ..aroun dthe world they are spraying us, you will see the chem trails in the sky, in California we are being bombarded, they have taken soil and ground water to test ,the list of chemicals being sprayed is astounding.and many have these symptome, if you want to know more a member called ginger899 has a journal up with links .

I have had issues with that since week 6! I am 27 weeks now, and have had a constant runny nose... and sneezing sucks! I have also had bloody noses every week as well... I guess just some of us get these issues huh?

Since Nov I have had on and off dizziness. When it first happened the pressure in my head was bad. Since then it's calmed down some. My nose (bridge) and the top of my head gets pressure. It's fine in the morning but as the day continues it gets worse. It's worse with humidity. In the morning my nose is congested and I have green boogers. After that its thick clear snot that is post nasal drip. I do have a tooth that is half gone and 3 out of 4 wisdom teeth coming through.

you can also check with your Dr. on Mastoid disease and sphenoid sinusitis. these are two things that affect the certain area you are refering too, Im only offering this advice because Im dealing with alot of the same thing and these are 2 things they have suggested.

Until then try to giving some rest to the neck (?!), and hold your head with both your hands while coughing or sneezing so that it doesn't 'shake-up' your neck. Hope this helps!

The other added benefit is that I save a lot of money and no more bleaching accidents with my clothes or bad reactions to this and other chemicals that most people use to clean with. You don't need to use bleach for disinfecting around your home.

Over a month ago I came down with a really bad sinus cold which lasted about 5 days. Sneezing crazy and stuffed up. A few days after those symptoms passed, I was at my first day at new job and all of a sudden extreme dizziness hit me and I liked blacked out for a few seconds. When I realized what happened I was surprised I was even still standing. I thought I was having s heartattack or stroke.. Went to ER and they gave me amox clav pills and a steroidal antibiotic.

im 17 a year old male and im fit. I had a cold about a month ago which left me with sneezing green snot and a constant ache in the face close to the nasal area. 2 weeks ago the symptoms in the nasal area subsided, I started coughing alot, sometimes even keeps me from sleeping. every morning I wake to cough green sometimes brown phlegm and sneeze out green snot.

It sounds more like allergies than a cold, maybe even chronic sinusitis. I would get allergy testing done and try antihistamines instead of cold meds. Vitamin C with Quercitin and bromelain are great natural antihistamines, I prefer liquid natural treatments. Hope this helps.
