Oh Panda i am so sorry to hear about your friends passing away. Tina's death is the cold hard reality of this addiction and it could of been anyone of us. As for your other friend with cancer, that is such a devasting disease also. May they both have found peace now.

If you do have a high fever, 102-103 and you have pain in the throat, hard to swallow and no other symptoms such as no viral symptoms (no cough, no sneezing, no runny nose) then you need to go get a throat culture. If it is group A strep they will give you antibiotics if not they may or may not give you antibiotics depending on the severity of the strep.
