sneeze

694466 tn?1227677802 Hi. My name is Kayla and I had a question about my dogs health. My dog recently got home from a kennel last weekend. Since then she has been sneezing when she gets excited or runs around too much. She also has been hacking. At first I thought it was kennel cough, but heartworm also seems to be a possibility. How can I tell which it is?
Avatar m tn My daughter has had a cold for two days and after that she started getting blood in her snot while sneezing. Now, she is even getting blood in snot when she is spitting the snot from her nose. Is this normal? She recently turned 12 years old. I am worried. Please answer if you have experienced the same thing.
Avatar n tn Sneezing dogs, this time of the year, is a sure sign of allergies (especially if they're fine throughout the rest of the year). What RedHed1973 said... Benadryl. We actually give ours the regular kind (non-drowsy of course). Works like a charm and stops the itchy skin, watery eyes, runny nose, eye boogers & sneezing. Late April through August is allergy season for our girls, so we stock up on Benadryl big time during those months!
Avatar f tn *sneezing. Does anyone else have this problem?
Avatar f tn I was VERY interested in the vet saying he could hear congestion in his nose... which goes with reverse sneezing. I was also interested in the report that the dog licks a lot. Well, our dog is blowing his coat at an unexpected time because we had balmy weather when normal is very cold this time of year. He licks his coat, of course, all the time, and we do our best to keep up with the big white clumps of fur coming off him.
973741 tn?1342342773 As far as I know, dogs do not catch colds. But there might be something else wrong. There is nothing wrong with a dog's nose being wet. But if she is snuffling, sneezing, coughing or breathing in a strange way it's best you check her out at the vet's. Dogs can sometimes get foreign bodies lodged in their noses, like a grass seed, etc.
Avatar f tn There is no blood in her stool or urine, no coughing or sneezing, and no vomiting; also, her gums seem a normal pink. The only real symptoms are that she is very lethargic (progressively worse), and no appetite. She also seems to be drinking a normal amount of water, but usually only when one of us takes her to the bowl (at which time she drinks a lot).
Avatar f tn There are many human foods that are completely unsuitable for dogs, and one of the many reasons why dogs become ill is because of scraps of human food that is given to dogs. While we are not susceptible to these toxins, dogs are, as they have completely different digestive systems. Please take a look at my article on this subject so you don't give these foods by mistake. http://www.infobarrel.
Avatar m tn Hello all, I'm not sure if the normal sneezing, wheezing, puffy eyed symptoms qualify as severe, but I have always had the tingle sensation around dogs. My question is how effective is immunotherapy since I've been on it for approximately 1 year now?
223237 tn?1302188391 My husband and I took our shitzu-poodle for a walk this evening and when he did #2, there was blood in it. I plan on calling the vet about it first thing Monday morning, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. He has been sneaking leftover soft cat food for the previous 2 weeks, and I know that isn't really good for him. Other than that he pretty much sticks to a dry dog food diet.
Avatar n tn It can be controlled by keeping the sneezing in check. Repeated sneezing could be due to vasomotor rhinitis, in which the symptoms occur in response to a trigger, like eating spicy food or going outside in the cold. The primary treatment is simply avoiding the things that trigger your symptoms. It is often treated with a drying nasal spray (like Atrovent) and antihistamines like chlopheneramine and lovatidine are effective. Nasal decongestant drops too relieve congestion.
Avatar f tn s all of her life. This time I notied when she peed that blood came out at the end of her going. I am taking in some urine Monday to my vet. Do you think there is more going on with her? She has had Pancritis, IMHA, and is on Proin. Could giving her raw hide bother her as well? Thank you.
Avatar f tn YOU CAN SEE HER BODY KIND OF LIKE HEAVING OR CONVULSING. I TOOK HER TO MY VET AND THEY SAID SHE WAS REVERSE SNEEZING. HAVE YOU HEARD OF THIS. HE ALSO SAID TO GIVE HER A HALF OF A BENEDRYL. WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE GOES TO THE VET REGULARY AND IS UPDATED ON ALL SHOTS AND TREATMENTS SHE SOMETIMES HAS ALLERGIES. LAST NIGHT THIS EPISODE LASTED ABOUT 1 MINUTE IT WAS VERY SCARY.
3170462 tn?1344717552 Three years ago, my husband and I adopted two cats. They're brothers, Alvin and Simon, and were a year old when we got them. Before they came to our home, they lived with a friend who runs a Second Chance operation from her home. She found them as kittens (mum was killed by a possum) and weaned them. Both cats were well treated. When we first took them, our friend mentioned that Alvin had started sneezing. We didn't think anything of it. Cats sneeze.
1622527 tn?1301644622 The only real advice I can give you is to take him to the vet for a thorough examination (Heart/Lungs, and bloodwork) That is the soundest advice I can think of, and if you could manage to find the cash to do that, one way or another....it would be a wise move. However, it is just possible this could be what is called "Reverse Sneezing". Google "Reverse Sneezing You Tube" and you will come up with videos of dogs with this.
Avatar m tn m a 27 year old male and have worked in front of a computer for many years now. I related the headaches and pain to eye strain and tension headaches. I had an eye exam, my vision was still great but the doctor did prescribe me some computer glasses. So far, this hasnt seemed to help much. My neck does get tight and my wife who is a massage therapist, performs deep tissue massages on me and it does help relive the headaches, but not the overall pressure I experience.
Avatar m tn t notice the blood... But the waiter have blood in her hands.... my friend told me the waiter is infected hiv... What was my risk...
1336515 tn?1285008143 I keep getting these random but annoying watery red eyes and sneezing attacks. I went through my whole life never being allergic to anything except very strong perfumes in lotions, and I have lived with cats, dogs, hampsters...ect my whole life. I had an allergy test last year that came out clean (apparently I am not allergic to anything). But when I get these allergy attacks my nose runs like a faucet and I cant stop sneezing. It happens at work, and at home.
Avatar f tn This was never happend to me before, when I sneezed a mucus with blood and when I search it in google, others said that if you sneezed a mucus with blood, you must stop blowing your nose. Is it true?
Avatar n tn One of my dogs get sort of a 'snort snort snort' sound at the back of her throat when she get's too excited. Does it happen when she's worked up or playing or excited? Mine also sometimes makes the noise when she drinks water too fast. Does that happen with yours? Side-Note: I think it's really quite amusing that you can't write out the name of your breed of dog without the site converting the text to "****".
Avatar m tn Was going to mention possible reverse sneezing too, not uncommon in those breeds. Your dog is a mix but I suggest you do a Google search on each breed to see what health issues they can have, might help you out. Often the National Breed club web sites will address health issues also and give you some insight. If you are treating for Giardia, good thing that was discovered. Often does not show up in every stool. Make sure you wash the bowls daily in hot, soapy water or diluted bleach.
871111 tn?1248992972 Coughing is an unusual manifestation of allergy in dogs, although I have diagnosed one or two dogs with allergic bronchitis based on chest xrays and tracheal wash/cultures to evaluate the type of inflammation and bacteria present in the lungs; you are right, allergies should not get better with antibiotics, her improvement suggests that bacterial infection is a component of the problem, although infection is likely secondary to another underlying cause.
Avatar n tn whenever i suck out mucus i find some blood in it and a couple of times when i blow my nose i see some blood too... i have been suffering from runny nose and i have been also coughing for like about 2 weeks and i have only used otrivin for the runny nose... what could be wrong with me?
Avatar m tn Last night I came home from working and being at my sisters and I looked in the mirror and I had a broken blood vessel in the right corner of my left eye... It was small dot with a little streek.. When I woke up this morning it was still red and it looks like another smaller one is under where the first one started however it could have just drained to that area. What causes this?
