Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing after drinking alcohol

sneeze

Avatar m tn I got a problem after drinking two cans of Holsten (Germany). Usually I used to get red eyes, sneezing, runny nose and swollen eyes most of the times after drinking beer, Though Sleeman is my favourite (may be due to classical bottle style and color), but I like to try new beers from different countries (especially cans).

Avatar f tn Does anyone also experience severe anxiety after a night of drinking alcohol????? If so what symptoms do you experience?!?!?
Avatar n tn This means no alcohol not even the once a month drink. After recently going through a divorce I began drinking once a week, meaning a glass of wine here and there with friends at dinner etc. A few days ago I went out with some friends and drank way to much, 2 shots of Tequila and 2 long island Ice Teas. This is alot for me and I was super sick. Two days later 2 bruises showed up, one on the top of my thigh and the other on my inner arm.
Avatar n tn It is common to have a immediate or the next-day headache after drinking. The immediate headache is usually common for those who have history of primary headaches such as migraine or tension headaches. However, it is not usually the alcohol which is the source of the headache. Certain nonalcoholic ingredients are more likely to induce the headache attack than alcohol itself. Hard liquor is more alcoholic than wine or beer.
4545793 tn?1394592544 ) im sure after he is 3 months I wont feel as bad lol and ya having two drinks isn't bad especially since some pregger mommies drank wine or smoked cigs while prwggers..
Avatar f tn I was told by my doctor that drinking alcohol does lower your immune system and can make you more succeptible to getting sick. However, what you are describing is an immediate reaction. I have several friends that get really red cheeks when they drink. They have told me that they are semi-allergic to alcohol, yet they continue to drink anyway. I don't know what their condition is called. How long do your symptoms last?
Avatar f tn I stopped drinking alcohol about 9-10 years ago. No special reason for that. I still went out with my friends and had fun, just that I was drinking non alcoholic drinks. You can have apple juice with soda, or long drinks without the alcohol and still have a good time.
Avatar m tn I say lay off drinking for a few weeks, but if you must drink, eat well before consuming, drink plenty of water or even Pedialyte to restore electrolytes after drinking. Little things like this help your body feel much better in time!
Avatar f tn I just found out I'm pregnant. I tested positive with a hpt. According to all the apps and my lmp I'm at least six weeks. Up until this point I've stopped drinking caffeine and alcohol. But also up until knowing I have consumed alcohol. My Dr appt is next week...should I be worried at all that I may have hurt my baby??
Avatar f tn hey :D i get exactly the same, its nothing to worry about, jst try to stay away from the booze its not going to help the panic, its just goin to make it worse :) x x
1148547 tn?1272052963 my question is is it safe to drink like wine coolers or drinks like smirnoff which has the same precentage of alcohol like wine. will it mess up the baby.
Avatar m tn 2 weeks after this event I developed a cold, with blocked nose, coughing and sneezing. This subsided after a week or so but now a dry cough still lingers. I wonder if the dry cough is a symptom of ARS? I can imagine your valued response to my questions as I have seen similar posts in this forum, however the very act of writing here brings a catharsis to my severely anxious mind. I do hope someone can offer me direct logic and if I need testing you can suggest it.
Avatar f tn You will get mixed answers because doctors don't know exactly how much alcohol it takes to give a child fetal alcohol syndrome. They presume it is different for everyone that is why don't say none at all and some say a few glasses is Ok. I suggest you don't take the risk at all. My motto is if it illegal or if you can't buy it till you are 18+ you shouldn't put it in your body while pregnant.
1726194 tn?1310174750 Hello and welcome to the Anxiety Community! Alcohol absolutely positively triggers anxiety in a LOT of people, especially ones who are already prone to it. Usually, a person will have a spike in anxiety the days following indulgence with alcohol, and obviously, the more you drink, the worse the anxiety seems to be. If you search the forum, you will find a lot of topics about this. There is one long and old thread though, that I think will give you a lot of insight into this issue.
Avatar f tn com/patients/condition-resources-tools/hepatitis-c/staying-healthy/hepatitis-c-alcohol ___________________________________ Once infected with Hepatitis C, the most prominent risk factor for developing cirrhosis and liver cancer is drinking alcohol. Compared to non-drinkers, regular alcohol consumption significantly raises the risk of developing cirrhosis and liver cancer from Hepatitis C.
Avatar f tn What kind of "heart problems" do you have? I didn't look at your posting history, but your name is ringing a bell. Have you been diagnosed with a certain heart condition? Let me tell you hon, alcohol is the WORST thing an anxious person can partake in. It really is. It will cause anxiety for DAYS after indulging. I all but gave it up completely because one night of a few drinks wasn't worth a week of anxiety and panic. No way!
Avatar f tn hello. alcohol related tremors are sign of potential nerve damage that usually (but not always) subsides once the individual has been abstinent for a varying amount of time. the anesthetic properties of alcohol depress the central nervous system, and in people who consume large quantities and/or drink frequently, the sedating effects can have a greater impact.
