1530342 tn?1405016490 Okay, how many tried to sneeze with eyes open, just to see if you could do it? Gotta admit, I did it...... I can/do, sometimes, sneeze with my eyes open; it all depends on what's causing my sneeze and how violent it is.
Avatar f tn I am a doctor caring for a patient that was in a car accident and is hospitalized. Yesterday i cut myself shaving under my chin and the patient sneezed right in my mouth, eyes, and (especially my cut). Its was a thick sneeze. Do i go for pyp or test ?

Avatar m tn The most common phosphenes are pressure phosphenes, caused by rubbing the closed eyes. Another common phosphene is “seeing stars,” from a sneeze, a heavy and deep cough, blow on the head or low blood pressure. If you are having pollen allergy, avoid rubbing the eyes as it will lead to phosphenes.
Avatar m tn with my eyes closed. I have read seeing flashes with eyes closed are normal but I was just wondering if what I am describing also fits in this normal category and if so why do I see this?
Avatar m tn I know with me, quite often it's different smells that set me off into a sneezing frenzy (although I'm not a man!
Avatar n tn My eyes constantly bother me, I sneeze some, and nasel congestion. Eye doctors find no reason for it. Is this allergies?
Avatar m tn Also on a website they claim sodium bentonite to work up to 95 squared yards so this is why people in another car with windows closed might be reacting. In bright lights I saw a person itching but also could see the allergens flowing around that person. I got a mate to shake his top and the amount of lint that fell off was ridiculous. I sometimes see the fibres on my T-shirt sticking up. So this has something to do with static, electrons, ions or protons.
Avatar m tn Ive had no problems with my eyes, in feb 2008 i got lasik, june 2009 i was in vegas and got a sinus infection. after recovery from sinus infection ive had watery left eye., rubbing it with my hands seemed to have caused an infection., mucus in my left eye., after seing an optomologist and getting on zymar + azithromycin + benadryl, the tearing + mucus in eye has reduced.
Avatar m tn If I fail to complete a natural sneeze too many times, I end up with very bad head pressure and headaches, which are not relieved by over the counter painkillers. When the natural sneeze EVENTUALLY comes out (which usually happens after weeks and sometimes MONTHS), the headaches and head pressure instantly go away. What I don't understand is, I AM able to sneeze by tickling the insides of my nostrils with a tissue, but strangely that does not get rid of the headaches and pressure.
Avatar f tn Read the section on entoptic phenomena on Wikipedia. Some are seen with eyes closed, some with open.
Avatar n tn Hi all, my mum has a problem with her eyes, when she closes them they flicker (hasnt slept properly for ages) saw an eye specialist but he could see nothing wrong with her eyes, a GP suggested it could be stress, has anyone heard about this before or know a medication which could stop this. many thanks (please feel free to email me if you have any info - ***@**** . thanks again.
Avatar m tn I have tried snorting pepper, snuff etc and looking at bright light - no Sneeze, not even a desire to sneeze. I have a number of neuro symptoms, no gag reflex, partial paralysis of throat, difficulty swallowing, Exotropia (eyes constantly tend to cross) along with muscle cramps, pain, weakness and fatigue - all progressive. Neuro says MS but never had a positive MRI. My question: Is anyone aware of a neuro/muscular disease with one of the signs being the loss/lack of the sneeze reflex?
Avatar f tn One more thing! Whenever I sneeze, both my eyes will jerk and twitch for several moments, almost like a seizure of sorts. It is so noticeable that I always turn my head away when I sneeze.
Avatar f tn So basically I somehow feel that my not being able to keep my eyes open, not sleeping just closed eyes, really has something to do with my sinuses so if anyone can actually understand my scattered thinking and has similar problem or any advice please let me know.... Thank You so much....
Avatar m tn m 22 years old now, and ever since I can remember to about 12 or 13 I have always had severe dark circles under my eyes. My skin has always been very white and pale and many portions of my body I can see my veins in my arms, green, blue etc. I have read on a lot of forums that under eye circles can be caused by dehydration, malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, sleep deprivation, etc.
Avatar n tn About a month ago she started having allergy like symptoms. She wakes up with watery eyes causing her face to be wet. She has sneezing fits (always like 7 sneezes in a row). Coughs alot. She has atrial fibrillation continuously. No one has been able to get it controlled. She has a medtronic pacer, has had multiple ablations, cannot tolerate amiodarone or other drugs, norpace stopped working. She is short of breath and has no energy.
293157 tn?1285873439 My MS neuro does the usual walk on your toes, walk on your heels, walk tandem, then try to walk tandem with eyes shut. I can do fine with eyes open, but can't tandem with them shut. The real killer is backwards tandem eyes shut. He says that it means that I do have a balance problem, but it's not much. I have noticed that if I go for a walk at night, I stagger a tiny bit. A variation of the Romberg is to try to stand on one foot with your eyes shut.
Avatar n tn Hi, your tickle in the throat sounds just like mine and yes sometimes after taking in a breath, I would go into a coughing fit and some time end up with a sneeze or two. Does spicy food, smoke or alcohol also set you off??
Avatar f tn You might also try rinsing your eyes thoroughly with bottle of sterile saline solution. You can find this in first aid supplies section or the contact lens care section of the pharmacy. Lean over the sink with your head turned sideways. Angle the bottle to gently rinse across the lower eye, holding the lid open if necessary. Rinse thoroughly, repeat on the other side. This may help get at least some of the allergen out of the area.
Avatar m tn I noticed today when in sunlight and I squeeze one eye hard, things seem blotted out ( reddish) in my other eye. This happens with both eyes, I keep testing it. Is this an optical illusion or macular degeneration. I am 31yr old female and just had four eye exams in the past four months for on-going floaters etc. No diagnosis so far.
Avatar m tn It would seem more to be coming from my eyes than my brain making something up?
Avatar f tn I’m a 20 year old female with severe hay fever that occasionally causes breathing problems, causes my eyes to swell, and sneeze a lot, I have recently bought a health watch and noticed that as my symptoms increase with the pollen level, my resting heart rate has gone up, is this normal??
Avatar m tn m not on any medication. But my concern is sneezing and stuffiness. Every once in awhile I blow my nose or sneeze a bit powerfully and right afterwards, I feel this discomfort in my head. Not pain, but something like an odd pressure. I don't know what it is but is that hole in my head closed or not? I honestly don't know why it bothers me, but I do want to know if the hole is still there three years later. Thanks for any insight.
Avatar m tn Hey , I was just searching about odorless gases that can irritate membranes, meaning that they can irritate eyes , nose , throat so causing to cough and sneeze and so on , exactly like out symptoms, some simple gases would be NO2 and SO2 did anyone do a research about it? Or had a breath test ?
