Sneeze tingling

Common Questions and Answers about Sneeze tingling

sneeze

When I sneeze I often experience a sharp tingling/burning sensation from my shoulders to my pinky fingers. It feels like someone is pulling the fibers of my muscles apart like string cheese. My best guess is that I am pinching a nerve, what, if any adjustments would you recommend.
there's a difference between patm sneeze and a normal sneeze. heres the difference PATM SNEEZE - nose turns red or pink (this happens when your nose gets irritated) - random sneezes going on and on - runny nose afterwards Non-related Sneeze - nose not red or pink - will sneeze only once or twice - no random sneezes I created this post for the sanity of PATMers because when your paranoid you begin to think your causing every allergic reaction.
About a week ago I kept having spells where I couldn't sneeze. I kept getting the tingling in the nose but couldn't transfer it to a sneeze. This would only happen a few times and the rest of the time I could sneeze. Well, I have a 'brillliant' idea and decided to get online to see what the deal was (DUMB!!)...read that it could be a tumor on the medulla. Ever since then I have not been able to sneeze for the life of me. I have tried everything...light, pepper, etc.
In 1997, I had a period of a month or more where I could not sneeze; I would have the urge to sneeze, build up to the sneeze, but it would not come out. Then, I went back to "normal" sneezing. Then several years later, I had the same thing again, for over a month, but again, went back to "normal" sneezing. Now, over two years since the last episode, I have been experiencing the same thing again, for around 6 weeks.
it felt like a lightning bolt of electricity went through me and it felt like something ripped in my thoracic area, probably around the T9-T10 area. immediately after the sneeze, i couldn't move or take a deep breath. this was followed by immediate dizziness, tingling, light-headedness, and blurry vision. the latter symptoms dissipated but the pain remains on the left lateral aspect of my thoracic spine, with pain upon inhalation.
I was always scared that had something to do with the tingling. However, the tingling occured too when I didn't touch cigerettes during my 2 pregnancies and breastfeeding. No consistant headaches....other than occasion sinus problems. I asked my doctor about this a long time ago and his guess was pockets of air(something like that???) near my spinal cord that will give me this tingling sensation??? He called it something....don't remember.
Mostly nothing is happening right now. No more tingling in feet, left leg, especially. The one thing which comes up every now and again is what I call the sneeze. A while back I had full body jerks at night which would snap my legs and upper body together quite suddenly and waken me. Now after a period of quiet, I have a milder form of this, as if I've sneezed in my sleep and bent in two. A few times I've also awoken biting the tip of my tongue which is a little weird.
After surgery it felt like my tail bone was broken and after 5 months when I blow my nose, cough or sneeze I have terrible pain going into my buttock and legs. This also happens when I bend over to the floor and especially when I pick up something while bending over. What is the cause of this problem?
About 2 months ago I started getting a strong, painful tingling in the bottom of my feet whenever I would cough, sneeze, laugh, stretch, take a deep breath or other movements. I've checked everywhere for information about this symptom and the only answer I've had is diabetes. I have no other symptoms of diabetes and am on no medications other than an oral contraceptive. Could there be anything else other that diabetes that could be making my feet tingle like this?
I have had numb patches on both legs and get tingling sensations in my fingers after a deep breath for about 2 years. Now I have numb patches on both arms and get the tingling sensation after a sneeze. Should I go see a neurologist?
i noticed recently that the past few days, especially today that everytime i get up, move around too fast, or go from different temps too quickly (like from the cold outside into a warm building) i get a really strong burning sensation deep in my nose, like right below my eyes. it feels like a sneeze feeling, but worse and with no sneeze. i literally have to hold my nose to make it bearable. i dont know why its doing that?? any ideas?
This happed twice in the same day. When I sneeze I feel tingling all over. Sometimes the tingling feels like electric shocks and pins and needles. My youngest is almost 10 months old and weighs 26 lbs. I hold him on my left side. On a daily basis a have a traveling numbness/pins and needles pain from the right side of my chest up to my shoulder and down to above the center of my back. sp joint and i have a very tight C spine and have pains in my hip when i sneeze which starts from my lower back. Whenever i get this tingle in my wrist and ankle it seems like its when my lower back is playing up also because i get sciatica at the same time too. Could it all be back related? or with the tingling at the same time would it be more neurologic?
i have been tingling all overy body, it jumps around from limb to limb, iam 23 weeks pregnant and really worried.
For many years I suffered from a ringing sensation in my head and ears, dry mouth, dizziness, stuffy head, tingling feet and extreme exhaustion to the point where I want to blackout. When I sneeze my head feels like exploding or when I bend forward I experience a sever head pain Dr’s are unable to diagnose my condition. A years or so ago I tried an Electro/Ionic Colloidal Silver drink that was supposed to relieve the condition but did nothing.
I have a tingling in the left side of my abdomen(upper) that comes and goes. Are there any gastrological occurences associated with this phenomenon. Also I am pretty sure that this is muscle strain, but I have a pain in my lower left side when I lauhg, sneeze or bend funny. I just playe a unch of disc golf the other day and I am sore in arms and legs from that but I was just wondering if that could be something else. Thanks.
Hi I'm 23 years old, last night when I fell asleep i recall a sudden vivid dream and than i woke up quickly to my entire body feeling like all my nerves were tensing up in this tight/hot/tingling state, it lasted about 4 seconds than stopped. Now this is the first time this has happened, and I'm concerned. I have not been sleeping well and i may have slept 3 hours in the past 48.
I've been having trouble sneezing over the past few days. Last week, there was about a 50/50 chance I would sneeze, but since Friday, I've stopped. I'll feel them coming, but they won't come out (the Ahh, but no Choo). I want to sneeze so bad, but it's just not happening. I don't know if it's psychological (worrying and thinking about it too much) or if there's something wrong with my internal sneezing mechanism. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping it's the latter--that may be easier to cure.
occur ALL over my body (and I mean ALL over) including inside my ear canal, face, near my nose and even sometimes and bottoms of my feet. I have also had extreme cases of tingling after working out a couple times but this feels "different" than the twitches. It kinda feels like bugs or bubbles (or something) are trying to pop out of my skin. It does not hurt. It is usually the area that I work out --- elliptical has produced the worst symptoms.
It happens several times a day and now is also feeling like a burning, tingling sensation that has now moved to my upper lip, my left nostril and also above my left eye. I dont feel like I have a sinus infection, but strange sensations in my face. Almost feels like I rubbed a hot pepper on my upper lip and in my nostril, not AS bad as that but feels like a burning sensation, also IN my lip, inside my mouth. Any suggestions? The bone under my left eye feels sore when I push on it.
I am 26 weeks and for the last few weeks everytime I sneeze or cough or even move the wrong way my nipples start tingling. Sometimes it can be almost painful. Anyone else have this problem and what can i do?!
when i sneeze i feel a tingling feeling in my chest and my shoulders. why does that happen?
You know that bad headache we get when we cough, strain, sneeze, laugh (laughing is the worst for me). Well lately I've been getting numbness and tingling down my left arm and hand when I do that and the numbness and "clumsiness in my fingers" last a long time. I've had all the MRI's and a CINE MRI and there is no tethered cord or syrinx. Does anyone else have this happen?
the first two week I had sharp stabbing pain and pulsating in the right shoulder blade, i was not able to sneeze or to take a deep breath, the pain irritates during sleep and doctor advised pain killer and muscle relaxer(sirdalud) and an ANTI-DEPRESSANT( i dunno why) it gave temporary relief ....
I am a Judo competitor and yesterday during a tournament I kind of did a face plant. Since then I have had a tingling in my left nostril as if I need to sneeze. But have only actually sneezed a couple of times. My nose is slightly sore. But I don't really see any swelling. My eyes feel kind of drowsy and I've been coughing. Almost like I'm getting the flu or a cold. Could I have fractured my nose or something? Or is it just a coincidence?
sp joint and i have a very tight C spine and have pains in my hip when i sneeze which starts from my lower back. Whenever i get this tingle in my wrist and ankle it seems like its when my lower back is playing up also because i get sciatica at the same time too. I have had a pain in the right side of my chest for several days as well as some irritation in my right arm that feels like the slighest of tingling. The chest pain seems musculature because it gets worse when I sneeze or move quickly to the left. I have also experienced back pain similar to the one I get when I have severe heartburn. Is this something I should be concerned with?
I have a cold. Everytime I sneeze, I get these tingling pains in my arms.. ANyone have any idea what causes this??
Hi . I am 28 years old. I recently got a cold. Now, everytime I sneeze, I get these tingling pains mostly in my arms and a little in my chest. Is this sytem related to heart disease?? If not, does anyone have any idea what causes this??
Seems to happen at night if my arms arm folded across my abdomen, or while driving. Even now as I sit typing this they are both tingling. I have never had any cervical issues.
